A friend of mine who was having a terrible time with the hospital in PH came over as soon as she spoke to Dr Ese and she is so happy with the treatment plan. She came over from the East. /if you have accommodation in /abuja I will advise you try Dr Ese. The cost is minimal too Happyfellow147: |

Welcome momma. I am not a doctor but there are some places where IVF does not cost that much. Success rates for IUI are ot so encouraging compared to ivf. I dont know how much IUI costs but in my opinion, it may be better to save up for ivf. Try places like JOJE and primecare fertility if you are in Abuja. It shall end in praise. creativeHands1: |
Actually the oats and apple thing worked both times for me. The first time I did it unconsciously because I started a weight loss/life style adjustment routine. It was after then that I started reading and hearing that Oats helps. No I didnt do hysterectomy nor endometrial scratching. Uririandme: |
Thanks Sis. We are excellent. Thanks be to God. The only thing that I noticed that was different was the precision with which Dr Ese made the transfer. They were dropped at specific points along my uterus abi cervix (wherever it s they put the eggs. lol) They were not randomly dropped. This was the first time I saw such. With my daughter, 3 were also transferred but only 1 took. So I don't know if this was what made the difference. But on my part, I took oats every day. I hear it helps. And light exercises. 750k pretty much covers the basic cycle. However, each individual's case is different. Soe people may require additional care before they can proceed with their cycle or require more drugs than others. All these will affect the price. Trippleblessing: |
Pls mama encourage yourself. Y Think that 5 days post transfernis not the normal time for uour period to come so dont give up hope. Some bleedings even if implantation can go on for some days. Fingers crossed till you test. Ladygracy: |
Hello Mamas, I decided to tell my story so that some others will be encouraged. I am 46 years. Had my 1st after 7 years of Marriage and 2 failed IVFs. Since then, I have had 3 other failed cycles. Somehow, God brought a destiny helper my way who encouraged me to try again and actually introduced PrimeCare to me. We had already run tests at a more expensive clinic for 245k against the 100k charged in PrimeCare. With God on our side, Dr Ese accepted to use the results and we started our cycle. we had 3 day 5 embbies transferred and 5 days later, I was spotting. This did not happen with my first. (that one was seamless that I didn't even remember i was pregnant and had to constantly pee on a stick to confirm) .The spotting lasted for a few hours and stopped completely. By day 10 post transfer I was peeing way too much and surreptitiously used a test stripe (100 naira ones o) that night. I saw a clear but slightly faint line. I did the 2nd one early in the morning and it was so deep. Rather than wait till 14th day for my blood test, I went in that day and was confirmed Preggy. At my first Scan, I realised that all 3 embbies took and we are having triplets. Go be praised!!! Shock, disbelief, relief ... (all join). I was gobsmacked but I know that God will strengthen me and complete what He started. God's grace to us all
|
It may be that /congratulations are in order. This is usually indicative of implantation of the embies into your uterus. Particularly if you had day 5 transfer. It happens a lot with multiples too. God's grace. Ladygracy: |
please how did you go about your visa application? I want to put in my own application now. Was it a normal B1/B2 application? Did you get any letters from a dctor in America or here? Godheard: |
Hello Purple Ribbon if you dont mind sharing, please what are the factors tat made your pregnancy high risk? How do you go about it? I had my first child 1n 2014 in AMerica. When i went for visa renewal (not my first since then but others were dropbox) in 2019, I was refused. I paid my bill but they claimed it was too low. Now at 46yrs I am expecting multiples and i have fibroid too. Do you think these qualify for high risk? purpleribbon: |
With me it was actually 650k and 900k for 2 cycles. They also charge 100k for the tests but we had done tests at the other clinic before coming to Dr Ese and he accepted the results. Its off Ogbomosho Street in Garki Area 8. Get into the Zenith Street, after Chicken Republic, turn left at the next turn, first gate on your right. It houses AMANA Medical Centre too flawlesskayc: |
I am just seeing this. I had a proper bath the morning after as i had a bath (without soap) just before transfer which took place at about 6pm. Not sure not having a bath makes any difference. Goldie16: |
So sorry. Just seeing this. I have rewponded to my emails. I dont know how to reach you. Bunny19: |
Now I see how i felt i knew you. I also used Dr Emeka for my baby girl and it was day 2 transfer. Blendy77: |
They are currently renovating the building. I am so thankful that I went there. Omojudy: |
such a coincidence. I heard about Dr Ese in July and due to his very good rates, we left where we were and started the cycle with him. I am 45 (will be 46 yrs next week) and i just got my BFP yesterday earlier than my test date of tomorrow. Dr Ese is empathic, professional and very humane. He is also flexible too even in pricing. I recommend him highly. @Blendy77 i remember you vagely from 2013/14 when i had my first IVF success. Since then I have tried 3 times at another Clinic in Abuja to no avail. I return all the glory to God. baby du st to all the waiting mothers. Blendy77: |
Hello Chukwuka16, Your response literally blew me away. I am in the middle of taking the next step. If you do not mind, I would appreciate if I can contact you via E-mail. I already sent you a request. I will need some guidance from "person wey sabi road". Thanks in advance Living in the UK, hmmm…… First things first – please setup an urgent appointment with your cleric and advise them to organise a series of prayer sessions for you to BANISH THAT THOUGHT OF BEING A LECTURER IN NIGERIA – Those dreams are from village people. You do not want to be having such dreams now as you are too young to be planning FRUSTRATION. I appreciate your love for lecturing in Nigeria, but my advice will be for you to start your career as a researcher overseas and then decide what next to do about that your dream of lecturing back in Nigeria. You need the abroad experience to build your self-worth which Nigeria helps to dampen. You also need money (a lot of it) to enjoy lecturing in Nigeria and even forget that ASUU/salary exists. You don’t want to be that frustrated lecturer who takes out his/her frustration on innocent students. You also want to have pleasant experiences from your time abroad to benchmark your lecturing journey in Nigeria. Next is the PhD. I congratulate you on your PhD journey so far in Nigeria. May the good Lord lighten your burden. Many years ago, it was gay to be having a PhD from Stanford and MIT and Harvard and those fancy names. Later, it was chic to be having your PhD from the UK, Canada, USA, Australia etc. Today, where you have your PhD is Irrelevant if (1) it is accredited and (2) you have your research published in the top journals. My advice for you would be to research possible PhD opportunities in South Africa – UCT, UKZN, UP, DUT, TUT etc. Get on ResearchGate and connect with Nigerians there and leverage that in getting a placement. We used to review apps from Nigerians and get our friends into SA for PhD with funding in our labs. You are sure of some funding (bursary with teaching duties) or a cheaper deal than the UK. Additionally, you are sure of world class research facilities with opportunities to go overseas for conferences/workshops. Please note that PhD in UKZN is free! I was sponsored by NRF/TWAS and had tutor gigs within the dept and had enough money to be flying to Pretoria (Sunnyside) just to look for plantain (millennial issues). However, while in South Africa, you must do all within you to publish and publish and publish in the very best and top-rated journals (Impact Factor greater than 5 as a minimum). In my former lab here in the UK, the head was ready to recruit my friend to the UK and pay him £40K simply because of his MAD publication profile – We lost him to a research lab in Israel. There is something called REF (Research Excellence Framework) here in the UK every 5 years and it’s basically ranking UK HEI’s based on their publication output and where (journal IF). This is important because it determines how much funding they get from the government (more important now as funding is becoming scarce like unicorns). That is why you see them every 5 years recruiting new hands and highlighting publications as an important criterion. You want to be ready for the next round. Why do I advise you to consider South Africa? Time. Here in the UK, your PhD can last from 3.5-5 years depending on your supervisor and between 4-7 years in the US. I did mine in South Africa in 18 months (finished with depression and 11 publications). You may not do yours in 18 months but with good publications (3-5) you can be done within 2.5 – 3 years with even a postdoc waiting for you to calm you down. I was recruited straight out of South Africa before graduation to the UK and currently in my 3rd job (millennial problems) working in a think tank and with a world class team. Nobody has ever asked me about where I did my PhD. I have even had the editor of a world class journal (IF of 27) visit me all the way from the US and invite me to do a badass piece in his journal on top my African PhD. A UK PhD WILL NOT ADD ANY BENEFIT TO YOUR CAREER IN TODAY’S WORLD EVEN IF IT’S FROM OXFORD. It will cost you your arm and your leg and even leave you frustrated and drained but with extra shoulder pad for bragging – I have my doctorate from Oxforrrrd. You also don’t want to be burdening us with gofundme which is rising at alarming rates nowadays or subject your better half to working jobs she may not be ok with all because you want a UK PhD. In all, please always ask the Good Lord for direction. I’m a firm believer that one can never get lost with His guidance. I wish you the best.
|
sniperwolf:Dr Akanwa is very old and experienced in the business of fertility treatment. Also Ezem medical Centre. There is a doctor at Ihiala who is also very good. I went there for a few weeks and my hormones were so normal when I went to run a test somewhere else. I do not know if you have found an alternative. |
GodMercy2015:Do you have any statistics on the success rate of over 40 year olds using their own eggs? Some hospitals routinely recommend donor eggs once the woman is past 40 years. |
inwangobio:looks like you were my mate back then in 2013/2014. My daughter turned 5 last year. I have done 2 more attempts since then but did not get a bfp. looking to try again. |
DrStrangelove:We will see how it goes. Mine is a few days before you so you should get plenty info before yours. lol!! My take is, attend the interview, present matter as e be and let them exercise their discretion. There are too many places to visit in the world. No need for plenty fuss. No one will turn down a discount. The most important thing is that you pay what you are billed. Denial of a visa should not be punitive but passed on an infraction. If people are not flight risks and the hospital did not go back to the government to make up the discount, then what are we talking about? Capitalism means individuals price their products as they deem fit. One should not mandate others to spend 15k at the minimum or risk not getting their visas renewed. Will hopefully come back here to upload my transcript. |
DrStrangelove:In your estimation, which cases are allowed to have earlier dates? I tend to agree with you because once I got the e-mail, I was able to get a date which was about 20 days away. Our cases are too similar. Had a baby (although she came very early) stayed for 5 months plus. Got another visa but didn't use it in the 2 yrs. Went to Europe a couple of times instead. Reapplied now and got a 221G. When I travelled after having my baby on the same visa as I used to birth, I was asked for receipts at the point of entry which I supplied. The 221 form did not specify documents to bring so I will carry everything I can lay my hands on. I didn't get a zero balance because I did not know it existed. I just got the itemized bills and a receipt,. I am following your story although my interview comes up before yours. |
Bless you. smslive2: |
Please can you send me fax number for WES. I need to send them my certificate. My School in the UK mailed my transcript. I don't know if they included a copy of the Certificate. Do i absolutely need to send it too? WES acknowledges receipt of documents from my school and my status reads "pending. Document is being evaluated. You do not require to do anything now". Not sure what that means. threadstone: |
Thanks for the heads up. It appears for one to be eligible you have to have experience in Nova Scotia or a VALID permanent job offer? Hamiltondreamer: |
Thanks a lot. How do i get the phone number to fax to? cochtrane: |
Hi All, Please how does one send her Certificate to WES? Is it absolutely necessary after your school has sent off your transcript?
|
No. You will need to apply for a Canadian visa. The good thing is that with a US visa on your passport, it is easy to get a Canadian visa. Rachie83: |
I have just applied for my transcript from my school in Dundee. Since ASUU is on strike I didnt bother with my first degree. I made the request and paid same day over the phone with my debit card. It got to WES within a week just as my school said it would cos they sent it off on 25th. Good luck nnekdre: |
