SC is carrying a single cell of Sickle cell anemia, hence have a sickle cell trait not Sickle cell disease


SCD or SCA is quite different from having a trait of Sickle cell amenia.

SS is a sickle cell anaemia disease in the blood, 85% of those living with SS die before they attain the age of 25 mostly while some can still live with it till their old age. It is a deadly disease.

SC is just a trait of the sickle cell disease, they hardly have the crisis as much as the SS do but most people with SC outgrow the disease. Only like 20-25% of people living with SC die of complications from the crisis.

SC is not as deadly as SS

Let me tell you something: for your info, I've once seen a woman who is SS and Rh-ve and never experienced crisis in her life, nor took Rhogam injection till she was pregnant with her fourth child.
The fact that you've had crisis occasionally doesn't mean everyone else would also have theirs like you, just know this!

Lagos was barely generating N600million when Marwa handed over to Tinubu in 1999. Today, the state is generating over N20billion monthly. So tell me, how much was Rivers, Delta, and Akwa Ibom Generating In 1999 internally and how much are they generating today? Let us compare how well these state have performed in terms of revenue generation under successive PDP government against the Lagos State government.

These PDP states get huge federal oil allocation monthly. They have everything that is needed to push up their revenue generation profile but they were content with stealing federal allocation and doing nothing for their people.

In answer, Lagos is indeed a small country within Nigeria that is even richer than many countries. with the money available to Lagos state from IGR, Lagos shouldn’t be where it is. Indeed Lagos is steadily decaying, needs a great deal of urban renewal & infrastructure projects.

It is pertinent that Lagos saves itself from the stranglehold of the yellow toothed drug baron.

Lagos is not the highest revenue earner from FAAC. Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta all earn more than triple of what is allocated to Lagos. The success of Lagos in internal revenue generation is as a result of the effort of previous state governors starting from Bola Tinubu in 1999. The IGR of Lagos wasn’t so much different from what Delta, Rivers, Kano etc we’re generating in 1999.

So, why is it so difficult for other state to achieve the kind of success successive governments in Lagos had recorded since 1999? The answer is clear: quality leadership. You don’t have to agree but the result is out there.
