MrIncrediible: It's a really big shame how some PDP supporters stoop so low to defend the indefensible clueless Jonathan. This "stealing is not corruption" issue is something that is supposed to be understood by a 4-year old yet some grown-ups come here to spew rubbish.
Jonathan in his speech that day said the following:
What did Jonathan mean by "Common Stealing"?? What is being stolen? Who is stealing? Those are questions sane people should be asking. Therefore if Jonathan asserted that the cases in his government were "mere stealing" not corruption, it is safe to say that he meant that Public Officers were "stealing money" but were not indulging in "corruption"? Right?
This is a simple question that a four year old (who hasn't sold her brains to PDP) can answer....What do you term the stealing of funds by a Public Officer?? It's CORRUPTION!!

luvmijeje: You guys are really trying so hard to muddle the water. Stealing and corruption are punishable under the our constitution so close to six years that he have been the president, what has he done about stealing talk less of corruption? Is he a judge? Jonathan desecrate the office of the president by differentiating two wrongs. Is that the reason he was elected? We are definitely sending him back Otuoke Did GEJ ever said either of them is good? Or that None should be punished under the law? |

Politics › Jonathan In Presence Of Osinbajo Receives Loud Ovations At Reedemed Camp by awodman(op): 7:36am On Feb 07, 2015 |
President Goodluck Jonathan last night made a surprise visit to the monthly prayer meeting of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at the Redemption camp, Ogun State where prayers were said for peaceful conduct of the forthcoming general elections.
President Jonathan who received a warm welcome by the worshippers was invited to the podium at around 9.30pm by one of the senior pastors in the church, pastor Aboaba.
The whole church erupted in excitement when the screen showed a calm president Jonathan exchanging pleasantries with the leaders of the church on the front row.
President Jonathan thanked the worshippers for their prayers and urged them to continue to pray for Nigeria and the peaceful conduct of the election.
"I am here to join you in prayers for our nation tonight. The whole world is passing through a challenge of religious extremism. Our country is facing a difficult moment but very soon, it will be over with the collaboration of our neighbours.
"I am not going to campaign even though the election is near because the General Overseer will not allow his altar to be used for political campaign but I want to tell you to shun violence and pray for peace in all the elections", he admonished them.
Following his brief speech for which he received cheers from the worshippers, Pastor Adeboye prayed for peaceful conduct of the election and strength for President Jonathan who knelt down before the whole church.
The Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Yemi Osinbajo is a senior pastor in Redeemed church and the choice was seen as a breaker for the opposition party with the hope that their teeming members would vote for the party that parades their pastor as Vice Presidential candidate.
However, the ovation received by President Jonathan when he was introduced appears to have rattled such expectations even as he did not campaign there http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/jonathan-in-surprise-appearance-at-redemption-camp/201197/

As a matter of fact, last Buhari was in council of states meeting was in 2006 to argue that the population of Kano should be higher...

barcanista: I don't know why people are misrepresenting and twisting the words of Gen Muhammadu Buhari. As a citizen I am 100% in support of Press freedom, so is the General. However, freedom of the Press shouldn't be absolute otherwise they will be used to cause anarchy. If the press have anything against any public officer and they are really sure about it, they should publish it and allow for Government prosecution. They have to be sure and not gossip or be used to persecute officers on the pages of newspapers. However, false reportage using "our source" that will neither give a lead nor help a cause, and also fabricating news and ascribing to public officers should not only be discouraged but should be criminalised. The Whistle Blower act should be passed/strenghtened to protect those with valuable information. The Press needs to carry their jobs with ethics and checks like other professions. All arms of government have forms of checks and balance. We need to protect government officers too from false and malicious embarrassment. If we are hard of hearing (like you accuse us) how about the BBC guy who was so stunned that he screamed "That's a terrible excuse to stifle press freedom" ? |

" The Minister of Finance brought a memorandum seeking approval to obtain additional credit facility from the International Development Association in support of the Second Lagos State Development Policy Operation.
“The objective of the project is to improve on public finance in a sustainable manner and consolidate on the achievements recorded under the first phase of the project.

Revolution: Na lie. Anybody who knows Buhari knows he will fight corruption to a standstill. Look back to 1983 and you'll see that Buhari was brought to power by some corrupt Army Officers like IBB but it did not stop Buhari from fighting corruption. In fact Buhari was overthrown by IBB because he was about to arrest IBB. Make no mistake, Buhari will fight corruption like we have not seen since 1983.
Prediction: Fani-Kayode will end up in prison. The man is a fraud. Watch the video above. The same man said we must all join hands with Buhari.
