sluk:Hmmm don't know what to make of this... ![]() |
TechRev:Hmmm Can I die for Nigeria? With the motivation, all humans can do anything. So if Nigerian lives are to be saved by my action I think I could. Nigeria is a fraud? Because it was created by the British? State creation occurs via different means, simply because Nigeria was created as a result of Colonial influence does not make it fraudulent. Would you think same if the Benin empire had thrived and conquered what is now Nigeria? Would you call it legitimate or fraudulent? If yes, then you may as well call most countries of the world fraudulent. Wasn't it how Ghana, South Africa, Kenya and others were created (purposely using African examples)? Why are they not complaining as we are? The fact is Nigerians are lazy... Not trying to be offensive but we are particularly when it comes to being nationalistic. We are ever so quick to wine and complain, and when someone rises to do something about it he/she is termed "over sabi". Tell me, what problems are you facing in your LGA and I'll shock with mine. I don't blamep Nigeria for my LGA's problems, I blame my LGA inhabitants and the leaders they elected, or selected. We usually conveniently forget we have Local Government, State Government, Senators, House of Representatives members, who are responsible for developing our communities but NO, WE DON'T SEE THEIR FAILURES... INSTEAD WE BLAME IT ON NIGERIA. The same local and state leaders who consistently plunder our resources somehow convince us that the problem is Nigeria and we believe... And some other wise people say when we break apart all this problems will fade away... SMH. This is reality not fairy tale. Is it the same corrupt leaders who failed years after years that would suddenly get it right? Or they'll step aside and let New leaders rule? If so why don't those new leaders rule now? State building is not easy, it takes a long time and not all countries have survived it. If we break apart under every challenge we face then the new country you fantasize about would end up being no bigger than a local government area. My ethnic group my never present a presidential candidate in Nigeria let alone win (if ethnicity was a yard stick) but I believe in the greater good. I end with this, take a good look at q the government officials around you and ask yourself... WHY AREN'T THEY POOR OR UNDERGOING HARDSHIP IS THIS NIGERIA THAT IS BAD? And compare the economic hardship around Nigeria and tell me who the poorest are and why? We need to unite and hold our leaders accountable while remaining resolute in our struggle for better life. We must realize that our struggle isn't so different you want a country with security, freedom, prosperity, etc. And I want a Nigeria with same characters. I hope you understand my view. |
Nigerians... Self serving, individualist tendencies can't and won't develop our country, but then do they really care? Say you can die for Nigeria and look to the faces of all within earshot and you'll realize how people really feel about their country. The fact is we don't deserve steady power, running water, clean environment, security, and the good things of life as provided by the state. Shocked? How many people have worked towards it? How many people are willing to go the extra mile to ensure the existing infrastructures are in good shape let alone great shape? Who cares... Afterall it's not your father's property right? Majority of Nigerians don't want change, they only like the idea of change and are too lazy, and weak willed to pursue it conclusively. This is what I consider to be Buhari's greatest challenge (assuming he is really sincere with his agenda). What can I say... I am disappointed. But I believe in Nigeria, I have never doubted that... But sincerely today, my faith in my countrymen has been terribly shaken. What we need is a mental revolution... Regardless of how many countries we carve out of Nigeria, Nigeria is a structure run badly by its citizens, as long as that problem isn't tackled the same would happen there in. #Nigerian_awakening |
For your ears, But not your eyes. I planned it all, So true fate testifies. In time I stalled, Refused to believe, Refused to interfere, Refused to bow, Coasting through till the end that was mine, So true fate testifies. I sit in this shadowy Palace, Encased in royal doom, I feel it's a dungeon, They called it bliss, So true my past testifies. My movement ended with no move to make, So too my moment stayed, As I strayed from my appointed boom refusing to be doomed, So true fate testifies. Shackled! Refusing my end, Making lies of prophesies, I fall, Making a broken image of my once prestigious self. |
The headline says Maiduguri but the news reads " Scores of Islamist militants in trucks and on motorcycles stormed the town of Gubio, 95 kilometres (60 miles) by road north of the state capital, Maiduguri, on Saturday night." The headline makes it seem like the state capital was actually overrun. This is clearly an example of treason. What's up with the Boko propaganda? |
This is like treason I mean peeps get executed for less in North Korea. But on a serious note, Nigerians and their politicians must realise our home is priority above all else. |
See I was told: to live truly I had live like a child, So I died... And was born again. I understood that to understand the mysteries of life I had to regress, To reject the wisdom of tested men, To leave the 'trusted' ways, To adopt the foolish ways understood by fools otherwise called... 'children', So I died... And was born again. My foolishness paid off, So I entered the realm only lived by those of my peers, Yes! Us... children, Like the Phoenix or not so like the Phoenix I rose from what was my ashes... And I... Shocked and stormed the world with they wisdom they deemed... Foolish. With my examples which were samples of His examples I proved fantasies right, OH yes! The fallen could rise, The blind could see... And that time could indeed by reversed. Talk of unending merciful grace... More foolishness? Perhaps decite? May be... You should... Regress. PS: For the price of non get all... The biggest scam of all? Call it disbelieving. Drag your feet but take a step, And eventually you'll reach, Then you'll know what is from what is preached. Call this my message in the bottle.

docconceptscom:do you have an HP elitebook 8530p battery and how much does it go for? |
penisilin:let's facilitate the needed change. #onepixperday. |
The PR and flow of information has been notably poor. There is hardly any release of official pictures or videos. Which is indirectly hampering Nigeria's war efforts, leaving other countries such as Niger, Chad, and Cameroon to steal our thunder. Solution There is a new movement on Twitter to encourage the release of pictures and videos from the front line. #Please note: this Is not the hunger for action videos but an attempt at a proper documentation of the sacrifices of our service men. Y'all can twit at Gen Chris Olukolade @GENOlukolade with the # Tag # onepixperday. please be polite. |

EUGENE4GOO:the main issue here is delivery and payment. |

cjrane:salutation to you man. I thought I was the only one thinking about this. I had to go check my good old map, I was beginning to think Pakistan was surrounded by Saudi Arabia. Government officials should think and stop finding excuses... Improvise where necessary, we are Nigerians, that's what we do. |
Chubhie:lol fufu, amala... My point is our culture and exposure affects our perception, as a Nigerian who is used to the bush (forest) I am naturally calm about it, my images invoked about the sea is basically Hollywood inspired, etc. My analysis will only kill the fun in the test (I ain't a kill joy). So lets all enjoy it. . |
What can I say? I dont think the author had Nigerians in mind while writing this piece. Interesting though. |
Interesting stuffs indeed. But that Nigeria and England stuff How? CAF cups included abi? |
BLACKPEN:okay, what's the theme of your poem. I sought of got the impression it had something to do with the grave. |
elvisosho:Loved reading your poem, your punctuation is slightly off. Setting it right will make reading it a better experience. Kudos. |
BLACKPEN:does your poem have anything to do with the grave? |
For me I am mostly content over form. But I think you need to work on your form/structure. You started well but didn't end too well. (My opinion). Still enjoyed reading it. |
Your poem is nice, though I think you ought to arrange it for an easy read, plus the ending was rather brief (my opinion). All in all, Thumbs up and keep writing. |
Lord knows how much credit I burnt in the name of making calls. I had to migrate. At time like this I wonder what the NCC is for. This exploitation shouldn't be tolerated. |
I must say at first instance your predicament seemed laughable (Indeed I laughed) but really, its good you asked. Believe it or not several people are in need of similar infos, we learn everyday and I always thought Pgd was needed but apparently not. So, y'all keep the advise coming... |
I realy don't know if this is a national problem but users of MTN under Zone tariff plan have been (and are still being) charged 40K per second as call rate for approx 2 weeks now. When customer care is contacted, MTN declares they are aware of the "problem" and are currently "working" on it. That has been the story for days now. I'll like to know if same is being experienced elsewhere. |
Good move. Its better to be proactive. |
France has been ordered to pay thousands of Euros in compensation to a group of Somali pirates who attacked French ships -- because they were not brought before a judge quickly enough after their capture. The European Court of Human Rights said the nine pirates should have been presented to a judge as soon as they landed in France after being held at sea. They were detained by the French Navy in 2008 after attacking a French yacht and a cruise ship off the coast of Somalia.
