Lol@ those naming Osibanjo and Buhari. Must you guys politicize everything? |
Unless you want to experience why the Kane and Abel story ended the way it did. |
Bonapart:Naaa the world would just invent some other ways of breeding disorder. That's life on earth. ![]() |
More and more bodies each day. When are they going to put an end to this? I feel all high ranking traditional ruler from the North-Central, South-West, East, et al. Should place a general embargo on the movement of Fulani herdsmen till the federal government finds a lasting solution to this menace. I know we're are many in Nigeria, but that shouldn't mean lives should be taken at will without consequences. |
Peeps getting fired. I guess it'll keep others on their toes. But that's not what we are out for... Economic prosperity, peace, and all other goodies promised us during the campaign. And appointment across the various ethnicities... So our elites can let us rest and stop heating up the polity. Personally, I'm all up for merit based appointment. |
zendy:Freedom? Hmmm don't see no chains, neither physical nor abstract. |
zendy:Virtually all you've mentioned is all about governance. I ask... Are there no sub-division among the Igbos? There are... Not all Igbo languages are entirely the same... Some even differ in beliefs, gods, taboos, etc. The same complaints you raised will still come up. You may end up with Biafra North, and Biafra South.. Or whatever name y'all may choose to call it. Bit the fact is whatever faction you find yourself, you'd need the support of others to rule. No group is unified above problems, we are only to think otherwise. To truly test the strength of your group, all you need do is introduce power and all will reveal itself. If a "president" of Biafra is to be elected, what part of Igboland would he come from? Now it is at this stage you'd hear all sorts of funny/annoying stories of how some Igbos aren't the real Igbos and whatnot. Power struggle brings the worst of people. In Nigeria, this just comes up easily. Let's be sincere (I think you've been so far). Can you vote Nnamdi Kanu as your governor? And if the guy feels he can led his people to better life can't he contest for governorship and test his abilities and popularity? As Nigerians whether North, West, East or South, we have the tendency to pursue the easier but often poorer decisions in life. And besides... Name one man in the East who you feel has the ability to lead Nigeria and is largely supported in the East. I haven't one... Best I've seen isn't even a man. And she's late. |
zendy:The white man as you call them, came down and conquered Africa not because he was strong but because Africans were too bone headed to realize that No Man is an Island. So what if a White man made Nigeria? Didn't they make cars, planes, drugs, and others? Why not jettison them all? We shouldn't have to fight for its existence or die for it. But it's worth living for. Biafra reminds me of the biblical prodigal son. Tread softly... No Igboman has ever been harassed in My presence and none will. Ask your self in what way has Nigeria stood in your way and ambitions? |
zendy:I enjoyed reading your points, so let's talk. Can you please define the enslavement you mentioned? And slave ideology? I guess almost all countries in the world are enslaved and running a slave ideology? The main point of any man who wants to truly develop his people is to enlighten them on how to develop themselves. And not cursing, hurling insults at every perceived enemy. Biafra can be the solution... We are talking reforms, economic agenda, new ideologies, and others. Hitler said... The masses are swayed by emotional argument while intellectuals by rational arguments backed by facts and concrete steps. Loads of African countries were products of colonialism and I am sure virtually all of them have a high level of self determination. I ask what does the Igboman want that Nigeria is depriving him of? |
My take on the issue is... Many folks in the East like to blame Nigeria for the lack of development and somewhat assume it's peculiar to them alone. NIGERIA has federal, state and local governments. Each of this arms of government receives allocation. If you'd assess how much your state has received since 1999 it runs into TRILLIONS, you'd know that our leaders are the source of our predicaments. No matter how many countries you create, as long as you have that corrupt element as leader, development would always be a dream. No country is perfect make the best of what you have. My state isn't the best, and I know if my States governor was good things would have been better long before now. I know lots of Igbos don't like Fashola but if all Eastern Governors were like him don't you think the development you are calling for would have been fulfilled long before now? EMMM. I know some say Fashola is corrupt (I don't dispute that), the point of emphasis here is his activities. #Nigerian_awakening |
Recently in Nnewi, I was in a commercial bus and the conductor was exchanging words with a passenger who had complained that the bus was over speeding. The angry passenger warned the driver that her family would not spare him if she gets injured. In response, the conductor started barking at the young lady and warned her never to expect any help from the zoo legal institutions. Curious, I asked the conductor what he meant by ‘zoo institutions’ and he advised me to tune in to Radio Biafra 102.1 FM at night. Before then, I had heard about the pirate radio station but didn’t know it has commenced transmission on the frequency modulated band. That night, I decided to tune in to the station, and immediately I hit the frequency, I heard the presenter, who addresses himself as Nnamdi Kanu (also, Director), shouting on a caller for addressing Buhari as Nigeria’s president. “Stupid black monkey and baboon, will you end this call if you don’t recognise Buhari as a pedophile, a child rapist and terrorist president of the zoo.” Instantly I recalled my conversation with the bus conductor and understood that the zoo he was talking about is Nigeria, an evil slang he must have picked up from the pirate station presenter, Nnamdi Kanu.Another thing I observed on that first day of listening to the station was the overwhelming quantity of falsehoods it propagates. Some of the falsehoods include the continuous aerial bombing of Igbos in Calabar by forces of the Nigerian government and the ordering of joint security forces in Chad to kill Igbos by President Muhammadu Buhari, after his visit to the country. Subsequent listening to the station revealed it as having agents who regularly call during its live interactive programmes to disseminate false stories. It is really sad that some misinformed people take the falsehoods of the pirate radio station seriously. The recent protest of market men and women in Onitsha over the alleged transfer of Boko Haram prisoners to Anambra State was catalysed by a broadcast of the pirate station a day before the protest, in which it alleged that President Buhari has ordered the massive transfer of detained Boko Haram fighters to Anambra State to kill many Igbos. The alarming thing about Radio Biafra is that it is fast gathering the support of less educated Igbos, such as commercial motorcyclists, bus drivers and conductors, as well as local market men and women, who can be easily deceived by the station’s falsehoods. If the station is not urgently checked it can endanger the peace and security of Igbo land and Nigeria in general. Igbos should note that the greatest enemy they have now is Nnamdi Kanu, who stays far away in well secured London, and delights in inciting his people towards bloodshed, against their fellow compatriots, and the Nigerian state. No sane individual can afford to promote hatred between his brothers and other compatriots in the fundamentally interlinked global village that we live in today. Also, anyone who means well for his brothers and sisters cannot afford to activate violence and bloodshed in his homeland, which if allowed will definitely lead to the massive loss of lives and property. It also baffles me how a person who claims to love his brothers and sisters will come on air and make careless statements that can lead to the destruction of the businesses and livelihoods, shops and property of Igbos outside Igboland. Is he on drugs or insane? It is no longer news that Igbos are mostly international business men and women, so a person like Nnamdi Kanu and Radio Biafra advocating for the destruction of Igbo property abroad and the relocation of all Igbos to Igbo land in this era of a global village must be confused. If Nnamdi Kanu believes that no one can make it and prosper outside Igbo land, what is he doing in London? Why can’t he come back to his home state, Abia to ‘progress’? It is unfortunate that some misinformed Igbos are even donating money to him. What a fraud! It is quite clear that the fraudster is fast exploiting misinformed fellows to his benefit. It is even funny that he has disowned all Igbo socio-cultural organisations and appointed himself commander-in-chief. The manner at which he abuses fellow Igbos and blacks, who he regularly calls “black monkeys and baboons”, show that he is nothing other than a racist; if other leaders abuse their followers in such manner, then what sort of leadership will that be? The federal government and the international community should note that the pirate Radio Biafra is a pending disaster and if urgent measures are not taken to end its activities, it can metamorphose into the media wing of a terrorising group sharing an ideology of hatred and bloodshed with the Islamic State (IS). Igbos should note that Nigeria has come to stay, so instead of wasting their time and energy in a wild goose dream of secession, they should support other nationalities and groups in building a stronger, more united and better Nigeria. The federal government and the international community should also make necessary efforts to track down, arrest and prosecute the director of the pirate radio station, Nnamdi Kanu, for inciting violence, bloodshed and attempting a crime against humanity. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria! Chukwuemerie Uduchukwu writes from Awka, Anambra State. Source: http://blogs.premiumtimesng.com/?p=168024 |
Y'ALL ARE UNBELIEVABLE!!! Nigerians praising the Chadian Army? Calling them effective? The Chadians have more guilt in this long lasting conflict. The best thing Chadians are good at it fighting Terrorism on the pages of Western Newspapers and TV. "The Chadians have been playing a leading role", I wish they would... Time would tell, just hope they are put in their place soonest and made to pay for the Nigerian blood spilt at their treachery. And those Phantom weapons... How many were they? And those CRAZED journalists (local and foreign) always using "sources not willing to be named" and we always accept them as credible. Nigerians Wake-up. #Nigerian_awakening |
At the rate the US is pushing for Gay rights one would think it was something life changing they were pursuing. I wonder were all this enthusiasm was when peeps were dying in Liberia, Rwanda, etc. I guess men and women having legally approved canal knowledge of individuals of same sex is of more importance than global peace.... To think of it, I don't see same enthusiasm in climate change campaigns. One word... HYPOCRITES |
Hopefully years of stagnation comes to an end. Ethnic discrimination has been the bane of Kogi state. Hope the groups in Kogi have learnt that ethnicity is secondary to development. #Nigerian_awakening |
Away from the Ethno - Political melodrama... Isn't the East like the safest and most strategic place to impression them? Like they have the list possibility of having sympathizers to facilitate their release. |
War is no alternative to peace. Nigerians beware!!! |
Boko Haram LEADER O. Not one of the leading figures/financer. OP... Your headline is misleading. |

What's with the UNNECESSARY dissing? I don't tolerate nor accept all condescending opinions laced with hatred and unpatriotism. The gears can and should be better, but remember this are PEOPLE risking their lives for country, so you wouldn't have to. Give them the respect they deserve. Got insults to hurl? Hurl them act the ruling class that has failed the military (while not exempting the corrupt military bigwigs). Besides the Travor is The SBS's standard issue, which is well suited for their primary task: on BOARD COMBAT. |
SIGN THE PETITION. Help enforce the CHANGE... Good morning all. |
You've successfully defined Awkward. But you should have had plan B... SMH no shock absolver for this one. |
My jaw is still open. Wonder what evil inspired these? Hope the inventor got a taste of his master piece. |

As much as I am up for merit based appointment, efforts should be made to ensure a degree of Representation of our diversity. |
Don't mean to be a wet sponge, but I expected more opening this thread. SMH. Good for them though. |
Some folks my think my comment offensive but its what I think is the truth... Most Igbos calling for Biafra on the bases of discrimination and underdevelopment have what I'd term a "lack of social awareness, with a touch of low self esteem". when we consider the workings of this country we can keenly note that majority of the problems of the states are caused by the states and their POOR local leadership, whether in the North, South or whatever. But one factor that differentiates the various regions is the Northerners don't bother complaining (they just accept it as an act of God), the South Westerners blame their state government and demand accountability, while the Easterners blame Nigeria. Where your state has failed in its duties please hold them accountable, and where the Federal government has failed, hold them accountable, and don't mumble everything up and blame the entire country for the problems encountered. The South Westerners have managed to evolved in their democratic dispensation and know how to wiggle through the politics to get their desires met. I mean what is wrong with Igbo politicians mingling with other politician and making deals fot the betterment of the region. My BIGGEST regret for the East is the loss of Dora Akunyeli (pardon my spelling). God rest Her soul. Many easterners like to speak of the conspiracy by the Hausas and Yorubas to control federal power but they fail to answer this question...How many Credible candidates of Eastern descent have ran for President? How many candidates can the Igbos truly unite for? As a result of the victim mentality and self ostracization they forget there are states that probably share their sentiments and can parley with to drive home their interests. The mare mention of states like Benue, Kogi, Nasarawa, Niger, and Jos the minds of most Easterners (and also South-South, and South-West folks) automatically think HAUSA. The listed states represent the so-called North Central... and are not Hausas, they are people with distinct cultures like others in Nigeria. I have not and would not blame country for a state problem, all Nigerians need to learn this and not just the Igbos alone. The reason the Hausas have made it so well on the federal scene is because they have done their homework and maintain a uniformed font as regards regional interests. My advice is "CLEAN UP YOUR HOUSE" and the rest would fall into place. so you know I WOULD HAVE STAYED UNDER THE RAIN AND SUN TO HAVE A CONSCIOUS/RESPONSIBLE PERSON AS DORA TO BE PRESIDENT. ETHNICITY BE DAMNED!!! |
if there is anything I've learnt in life it is... NOTHING GOOD IS ACHIEVED ON THE BACK OF HATRED. Nigerians be WISE, I have loads of Igbo friends, cousins, and uncles. slowly but surely Nigeria will become a FAMILY. I believe the coming generation should be empowered to decide their fate free of the hatred and anger been spun from the past. Phyno and Olamide are hitting it big together... while some myopic people are drawing their kins back. There is no limit to what we can achieve TOGETHER. #NIGERIA_AWAKENING |
"The commander said the Combat Aircraft MI-24 was being used in the operation and that the command was expecting the arrival of another fighter jet, MI-17" . Nigerian journalists and their lazy reportage.. ![]() Makes me wonder how many lies are stuffed in this report. SMH |
9jii:If only Nigerians had this same mentality and actually practiced it... |
