FoodRe: How Do I Grill Fish? by aydelicious: 8:27pm On Aug 01, 2015
sheweezy:
Good morning people. Please I want to grill fish and I need recipes for grilling and the methods of grilling. Then is microwave with grill advisable or I should use gas cooker with grill.
hhmmmm let assuming that the kilo of the fish is 1000g or 1kg
the recipe ingredients you are going to use are
=> 1kg of crackerfish
=>2 levels of teaspoons of salt
=>1 cube of Maggi
= > small amount of ginger
= > small amount of garlic
= > 1 big onion
=> 5 levels of teaspoons of grounded pepper
=> 250cl of groundnut oil
=> half level of teaspoonful nutmeg
= > half level of teaspoonful fish spices
=> half level of teaspoon of curry
=> 1 level of teaspoonful of thyme
=> with orther spices you may like to add to it

To cook it
cut your fish in size you want, remove the intestinal, clean it with water and Let the water drain out of the fish Then add it in to a bowl and place it one side.
Now grate the onion, garlic, ginger together but some people like to chop it;when you have done that:
Add it to the fish, and rub it with the fish, now add the salt to it and rub it as well.
The thyme, the curry and nutmeg will now adding to it and use your hand to stir it together.you now add the cube of Maggi to it and the 5 teaspoons of grounded pepper to it and the fish spices and then the spices you want to add to it,you will still use your hand to stir it again
Lastly you will now add the groundnut oil to it and stir it as well . When you have done that, you now need to put it in refrigerator and you wait about 30 or 40 minutes, after that you will now put it in to offen and grill it about 25 minutes or 30 minutes . that is it.

FoodRe: Share Your Experience Of Using 'fork And Knife' To Eat for the First Time. by aydelicious: 6:02pm On Aug 01, 2015
Lundii:
I don't know why humans are just making life difficult for themselves.
I was at an event two days ago, and I was served a mouth watering dish, but only fork and knife was provided without SPOON(can u imagine).
I don't know how to use it and the painful part is that it was a round table with two girls close by. Well knowing the type of person I am, I asked my friend for suggestion and he asked me to be myself. That statement was a motivation, I just dumped the knife, used the fork as spoon and used my hand to clear the chicken.
Well I am a Nigerian and I just pity people making life difficult for themselves in the name of civilization.

Why don't u share your own experience.
I don't know what to say anymore but Bros, you are funny oooooo.
FoodRe: Need Some Food Inspiration?try This: Macaroni In Cashew Nut Cream-fully African by aydelicious: 5:50pm On Aug 01, 2015
pulcherima:
Ingredients:

- 1 cup Macaroni

- 2 tablespoons Cashew nut paste

- 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil

- 1 tablespoon ground Tomato

- Ground fresh Pepper to taste

- 1/2 medium size Onion (chopped)

- 1/2 cup fresh shrimps/mushrooms

- 1/2 cup boiled cubed Chicken

- Seasoning to taste

- 1 cup Chicken stock or water

- 2 tablespoons chopped Basil leaves or Curry leaves

Direction:

1. Boil the macaroni till soft and set aside

2. Grind the Cashew nut until smooth. Cashew nut has quite some oil, so you may want to intermittently pop the ground cashew nut into the freezer to freeze the paste so when you grind again it moves smoothly in the blender

3. Dissolve the cashew nut into a smooth paste with about 2 tablespoons of warm water and set aside

4. Heat up the oil fry the onion, tomato, pepper, add seasoning and salt to taste.

5. Add the shrimps, chicken and chicken stock and cook for about 5 minutes

6. Stir in the cashew paste quickly and allow to boil for about I minute stirring through. It is advisable to keep some little quantity of cashew paste nearby in case you need to further thicken the sauce.

7. Chop up the basil or curry leaves

8. Stir the macaroni and curry leaves into the cashew nut sauce.

9. You could return the whole pot to the fire for 1 minute stir well to warm things up. Serve the Macaroni in Cashew nut cream hot.

Hello all,
i really want to know how to cook beans in more than 3 ways and I know we have great cooks & chefs in this section that can do justice to cooking beans. so here i am to learn. I searched the food section for a thread dedicated to beans but couldn't find any.

Please feel free to give more than one method. give step by step guide and try to use common names when naming your ingredients so people who learn from this can easily get the ingredients by their names.

Thank you.

RESTAURANTMANAGER:
OWNING A RESTAURANT

Before you open your own restaurant there are many aspects that need to be addressed, to assure success. Here’s a list of available resources to help you in your new restaurant start-up.
Deciding if Owning a Restaurant is Right for You
Restauranting is hard work. It may seem glamorous and fun, but it all will summarized down to hard work. Anyone in the food business will tell you about long hours they put into it. It’s important to understand all the various jobs that are involved in running a restaurant. From recordkeeping, to production to PR, as the owner you are responsible for it all.
“Oh, I’ve always wanted to own my own restaurant!” people will always say. “It must be so fun!” Restauranting is more of a calling rather than a job. And even those who think they are called to it, are often times completely unprepared for the amount of work and stress that comes with being a restaurant owner. Of course, there are a great many benefits to being your own boss.
I feel it.

RESTAURANTMANAGER:
Restaurant Marketing
MARKETING
Advertise your grand opening, and be sure to notate and correct any problems that arise when they occur, so that you may improve service and become more efficient. Open your doors, and make some money.
If you are trying to market a new restaurant and you do not have a large marketing budget, these tips are for you. You will be shown you highly effective ways to market a new restaurant for very little money
1. Step 1
*Free samples, yes free samples.
The first thing you want to do is make a list of close area businesses, offices, retail stores, and service shops. Anywhere near you that people work and eat lunch. Then set a goal of delivering samples to two places a day with a menu for free, until you hit each place on your list.
2. Step 2
*Free door to door delivery.
Yes delivery, the easier you make it for people to get and order your food the more daily sales you will ring up. Start with walking distance. Offer delivery to all of those places you brought free samples.
3. Step 3
*Discounted meal gift certificates.
Offer those businesses discounted gift certificates that they can give away to customers or employees. Offer N1200 gift certificates to them for N600. Yes, you will lose a little money at first but it will drive traffic to your business.
4. Step 4
*Follow up with your new business relationships.
When you add a new item to your menu, make sure all of those places get free samples. Honestly if you give out free samples to those businesses every month or every two months as you increase your territory, you will build a ton of business.
Tips & Warnings
• When taking samples you do not need to bring 20 meals. Bring your specialty in small sample servings.
• Try to do the entire sample with menu deliveries yourself for the first couple of months. So you can build strong relationships with the other business owners or managers.
you are right with what so ever you said.

RESTAURANTMANAGER:
Its true that it is quite hectic, however a systemic approach at running a restaurant will cut down drastically most of the stress. For example the restaurant should be divided into sections or department depending on the size of the restaurant, there should be someone responsible for each section or department. A restaurant manual will go a long way in becoming a road map for such a restaurant, both for new and old staff alike. I wish you the best.
hhmmmm, these are wisdoms
