Thanks.
WES says 35 working days and thats about 7 weeks. I was hoping it could be shorter, so I might have to wait till January if CRS doesn't drop sad. My Uk degree took WES about 3 weeks in 2018 and yea no verification and all that.
God help us.
KlausMike:
Sorry to hear about your delay.

I recently (between Sept and Nov) evaluated degrees for my wife and younger brother.

My wife’s bachelor's degree from Adeleke University, with the entire process taking 7weeks. Her result was delivered to WES within 3 days. WES requested verification 3 times! thank goodness we had direct contact with the exams and records officer of her school

My brother’s Msc degree was from Warwick Uni and the entire process took a month. No verification was requested!

Hang in there! smiley

Its not even nice at all what we go through in this country. It is well. Lets just keep praying for the best. God will make a way.
Debbieeeeeee:
Sorry about your issue , Same problem I’m encountering with my husbands university. This whole thing has to be timeous. I’m praying for ASUU strike to end even more than the students in school

Hey guys, please how long has WES evaluation taken in recent time?

After about 4 months of back and forth and lies (even after paying a contact), Unilag just sent notification of result (in place of certificate) last week even though transcript has been there since 10th Sept. and counting 35 working days would mean January for ECA and i turn 30 in January sad
Our score this week with husbands IELTS is now 474, we were projecting WES to be done October if not for Unilag's rubbish and now CRS cutoff is getting higher, so upset sad sigh

I heard its 15 points extra. Is there hope of the CRS points dropping for the next draw like this. hmmm

Igethope:
Is it true IRCC will giving 30 additional points to those with Canadian education ? Some said it’s a technical glitch, while some said they have already got additional points .

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by AyeeshaB: 12:31am On Nov 12, 2020
Thank you so much. For someone not in the Industry, you did well.
I have actually done a totally new JD closer and less detailed/specific and also removed the acronyms smiley. I don't want to take chances.
Petroleum Engineer is totally different and also the NOC description is totally different, nothing I do is there.

For the 2112 vs 2211 its tricky because in Nigeria and most countries you need a degree to do some part of what I was doing, as far as I know, probably minimum of HND while the other part probably could be learnt on the job. So i would probably just adjust it to have more of one of the NOC's and choose 1, its tending more towards the Chemical Tech- skill level B.

Yes I agree May is not essential but it was part of what I did and helps to compensate for the "essential" ones that I did not do (very subjective depending on Industry)

Do you agree its better i make the descriptions for NOC 2134 less specific? I think its better that way.

Thanks again for your help.
Mmamaroon:
You were 100% right. Very detailed JD and WAY WAY WAY out of my league and not an industry I know at all...in fact the NOC items are looking similar to each other..but giving it my best "educated" shot.

General comment...do not forget to incorporate the lead statement. You might also want to check out other NOCs in the 214 series esp 2145 petroleum engineers.

NOC 2134 item 9 starts with "may"...my interpretation not an essential duty. Same with 2112 items 10 and 11.

NOC 2112 vs 2211 the first is professional and the second is technical like you already said. So would you be able to do the duties had you not gone to Uni and gotten a relevant degree but were learning on the job?..that's how I would describe the difference. Not that IRCC cares about the degree, but that just helps you pick between the 2, I guess. The very first JD shows this clearly C1 is analysing and synthesizing while CT7 is just conducting and assisting in. I may be wrong though.

Other comments in red below, please take with a SACK of salt!

• Supervision of interns, trainee Chemists and technicians.- C11

My major issue is the NOC description is vague but my work experience is specific and a bit more detailed and if a random person is reading it, may not be able to match them. Do I make my reference Vague like their description or just word it closer to their description?

There are also 2 other things in Chemist NOC that i did not include but I participated in. Major issue here is that i have almost equal amount of tasks done in both NOC's and a lot of things overlap/ are similar. Chemist is skill level A and Chemical tech is skill Level B.

Mmamaroon:
In general, each NOC has several duties listed as bullet points on the NOC website.
A) Number these bullet points from 1 to 20 or wherever it stops
B) put the appropriate number beside your JD duties and repost for review

This way you and anyone helping should be able to see if most of the duties have been covered....or not.

Hi Guys,

Please I would appreciate 2nd opinion on my NOC choices because its a bit confusing in my field and some descriptions are vague and may vary depending on Industry.

• Development of Commercial Evaluation Criteria for FPSO bidders.
• Review and Modification of Existing PFD’s and P&ID’s.

2. Please help me check against NOC 2112- Chemist and 2211- Chemical Technologist. (this is confusing for me because I have done tasks in both NOC's)

Role- Quality Control Analytical Chemist
• Daily sampling and analysis of raw, portable and purified water by checking parameters such as hardness, conductivity, pH using established
standard operating procedure (SOP).
• Sampling and analysis of raw material, semi-finished and finished products such as powders, tablets and creams using standard methods of

I need help please.

For my primary NOC (Chemical Engineering- 2134) I have just 2 years, 5 months and 26 days experience. This was after my Masters in Chemical Engineering.

My first degree was Industrial Chemistry. After NYSC, I worked in a Pharmaceutical Company as an Analytical Chemist for 8 months.
I am confused about what NOC to use because Chemist (2112) and Chemical Technologists (2211) have similarities and I performed tasks present in both NOC's. Please can you help to see where I best fit.

Job Description:
QC Analytical Chemist
• Analysis and sampling of raw, portable and purified water by checking parameters in the laboratory according to standard operating
procedures
• Sampling and analysis of raw materials semi-finished and finished pharmaceutical products using standard methods of analysis
• Develop and maintain sample storage systems in the laboratory store room under proper storage conditions.
• Calibration of laboratory and factory equipment
• Preparation of Daily reports of laboratory analysis and quality control processes conducted.
• Ensured quality, health and safety standards were upheld during the stages of the production process by monitoring, routine checks, testing
and random sampling.
• In-Process control monitoring of processes such as mixing, drying, compression, blistering and packaging by conducting assays
• Research and development of raw materials, chemical formulations and analytical methods.
• Approved release of finished products from factory to warehouse after thorough quality checks
• Supervision of Interns, Trainee Chemists and Technicians

Thank you.

Hello,

Please has anyone here used the barter by flutter wave app to pay for UK PCC? Its showing that it works on selected sites, mostly e-commerce but I noticed people use it for WES and visa fees. I don't want to use my dollar card because my POF is there and i just don't want to touch it or have t transfer more money in if there is an easier alternative.

I would appreciate a response. Thank you.

Hello all,

I believe there is a part after getting ITA where you are supposed to talk about visa rejections and all that.
My husband was rejected twice for US visa but he cannot remember the reason, is this an issue? Is it okay to just mention you were rejected without the reason?
One was like 12 years ago as a group going for a school excursion and the other was about 6 years ago. Also, he doesn't remember the exact dates, just the year.

Currently in the process of doing his ECA (since August, no thanks to Unilag) and he just did his IELTS last weekend. We might be able to get ITA by end of November (with jus IELTS) so I am trying to sort out the Docs/info needed after ITA.

I would appreciate your help. Thanks.

Hello, Please I have another question on this. I have not filled the form yet so I am not sure what it looks like but at the part where you have to put the delivery address, does it require a name also? Did you put your name and the UK address or the name of the owner of the address?

Thank you.

MissMa01:
I received my UK PCC yesterday , I advise that if you are applying for one you should consider using a UK address to cut the delivery time by half and you won’t have to battle with NIPOST. I applied on October 12th.

Just a friendly advice.

Don't you need to have a job or have the financial capability to apply for spousal sponsorship? I heard the process can be cumbersome. I tried to research but the finance part is not clear.
But with 472 it makes sense to get the ITA and do Spousal Sponsorship if all other options have been maxed.

Kekereekun123:
465 cannot get you ita in these times. Let you or your husband max ielts. Or you learn french. Spousal sponsorship is between 7months to a year. Be wise

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by AyeeshaB: 9:53am On Oct 14, 2020
Thank you. I agree, i didn't read it that way too until a random post online in a forum confused me but I believe you are right.

The documentation I mentioned is to show the source of the $5620 i got paid for the contract job since its a large amount, I think they might like to know the source.
It explicitly says certificate so I guess we have to pray IELTS suffices and if not hope ASUU strike is called off and Unilag can sort out the certificate thing in time.

Mamaroon:
What is required for POF - pls see checklist, extract below. I do not read it as "money must be in the account for 6 months". #PersonalOpinion.

Nothing in personal history requires documentation.

I would think you need to provide proof of foreign educational credentials (as per checklist) of he will claim ECA points, I assume this is certificate...I have no idea if statement of result will fly for eAPR.

474 looks like a great score.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by AyeeshaB:
Thank you.
Yes I am aware hence my concern, my 6 months average balance is not up to the required funds but total balance is more.
I pan to submit the two statements. Are you saying 6 month Ave balance does not need to be equal to funds needed?

I didn't really plan to add the contract work anywhere, It was a one month job, but probably in my personal history if i decide to as its not something I can get references for. Its not really important in the grand scheme of things. I do have a contract letter i can upload to show where the funds came from.

I mentioned the delay is my spouses ECA but its 481 on my own (unaccompanied), but as accompanied its lower without my Husbands ECA and IELTS, so I am waiting for him to get those in order.

Another concern is if we need to upload my Husbands actual Certificates post ITA, because we are trying to use statement of result now for ECA and we don't know how soon he can get his certificates from Unilag due to the strike. If he does well in IELTS like a band 7, we can get like 474 and leave the ECA out of it. *fingers crossed*

Mamaroon:
IRCC didn't ask for POF to be in the account for 6 months, they asked for 6 months average balance as part of the bank ref letter....see checklist.

If it were me, I would submit my USD bank ref letter and my bank statement for 6months (even though they didn't ask for this). You may add an LOE to explain where the USD deposits are from (conversion from NGN and contract work, btw hope the contract work is going into your personal history post ITA), if it makes you feel better. Alternatively, you may leave it out and explain only if you get an ADR. The VOs have been known to come back to ask for 12 month statements from a few people so I'm not sure the money not being in your account for 6 months is a reason for delaying your entry into the pool....... if the CRS 481 is without hubby's IELTS and ECA.

RealTrump:
Your problem is that you have no problem. Check "gift deed" on page one. Also, wait for your husband, you are not under pressure of losing points.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by AyeeshaB: 6:21pm On Oct 13, 2020
Hello guys. Please there is something about proof of funds that I have been trying to figure out. So please look at this scenario:

My Mutual fund from one bank had deposits over time from my earnings and large deposit from severance pay. Between July 16th and August I had about 5.2M and then I withdrew about 2.2M to change to dollars and deposit into My dorm account in another bank.
By August 20th, 2020 , I deposited $5,280 into my dorm account bringing my total balance to $6,819.
I worked as an independent contractor and got paid $2810 twice within two weeks directly into my dorm and the last deposit was on 2nd October, bringing the total as at that date to $12,439. This amount is sufficient and I still have 2.8 M in Mutual funds and about 800,000 in another savings app.

However, Ive done the average for both bank and mutual fund for 6 months statement if I was to get a statement from July 16th 2020-January 16th 2021 and it does not show average of the required sum for the 6 month period. But if I had left the 5.2 M in my mutual fund in July, I would have had more than average of the required sum by January.
What do I do in this case, I am confused.
I got laid off in May and still in the job market so I don't have any salary or inflows coming in like that.

My CRS is 481 but I have been waiting for my Husband to do IELTS and get ECA which is being delayed because of Unilag strike amongst other things and I might end up doing unaccompanied.
Do I even need to wait till January to upload documents because now I am inclined to enter the pool based on the date i have the required average balance?

Is there a way to explain this when submitting my documents? I would appreciate your advice.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by AyeeshaB: 12:26am On Oct 11, 2020
Tweet at them, send them a DM on twitter, they usually respond 3-7 days after. Also try calling them, they wont pick up until after about 30-45 minutes (you would be on hold), I spent 3,000 calling them before I realised this and would cut after 20 minutes. Have enough credit for an hour, maybe around 2,000 Naira or use a calling app.
blummey:
Thanks, but need a contact mail for wes, i used the cintact form on their website but they have not responded. It's more than 3 weeks now.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by AyeeshaB: 7:42pm On Oct 06, 2020
With these scores, I calculated you CRS as 411. You are probably making a mistake and adding that you have Canadian work experience. In the CRS tool, number 6(i) should be "none" (Canadian experience) and 6(ii) should be the number of years of your work experience. Also 4(b) asking for Canadian degree should be "none"
You would have to improve your IELTS to about 7,8,7,7. you would jump to about 483.
BFWestAfrican:
Hmmm. Please, help me calculate so I see where I may be wrong.
My TCF Canada results as 1st language: 14, 525, 530, 15.
IELTS: 6.5, 7, 7, 7
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by AyeeshaB: 5:56pm On Oct 06, 2020
With what you described your score should be 441 with max work experience (3 years) and max IELTS or up 456 if you have a family member in Canada. It can only be up to 470's if you have Canadian experience or Canadian degree.
Check that you have used the tool properly.

BFWestAfrican:
Good Day all. I need your advice, please.
I studied in the UK. I didn't do the traditional Bachelors, then Masters. I did diploma courses, advanced diploma ( NVQ level 5), then a level 7 diploma (post-graduate). I am currently doing my masters with Anglia Ruskin which should be completed by early 2021. I am 35 (you can see age is not on my side)
I assume if I send my current diplomas to WES today I will get the '2 or more degrees...' (I am right?)
If I wait to finish my masters, then do ECA and be able to open my EE account before June 2021 when I will turn 36, then that would be fantastic. But I am being realistic.
If I start the EE process now without my masters, my CRS is 471. Îf I wait till I've got my masters and I am 36, my CRS is 473.
What would you advise me?
By the way my NOC will be either 1241 or 1411 with over the requisite number of years of experience. Which of the 2 might favour me more?
Thanks in advance.

Please how were you able to reach them?, I've sent countless emails and made calls for weeks now to no avail
They acknowledged transcript 2 weeks after it arrived Canada but did not acknowledge the Statement of result that Unilag sent along with it to replace certificate and the profile still says upload certificate. Im currently on the phone on hold, over 30 minutes now and I emailed over a week ago, nothing.
Getting a hard copy or statement of result/certificate now is not even possible as Unilag is fully on strike, I'm tired.

Francieuche:
This recent WES timeline and delay is so annoying.... No update, we are sorry and they claimed UNILAG didn't put my wes reference number on the dhl package so since they received it they saw just tracking number and didn't work on it but they have acknowledged it And since Sept 1st till now no status update that it is received nor anything...
I have messaged them on Twitter nothing yet...

Foreign work experience means outside Canada.

Please how do one pay for WES with this limits we have on our cards?

Secondly, foreign work experience means working outside Nigeria?
