Guys please i just accepted my offer to Memorial University Newfoundland for MSc programme... like seriously i dont even know what next to do, though the next step is supposed to be study permit but the criteria requires bank statement which right now i dont have but hopefully to get later.

I need advise can i skip that step and move ahead with other steps or is it better for me to find a way around it now and later when i actually gets fund means i could replace.

Thanks.

elimsme:

Memorial has a very crappy admission procedure, You might have to mail the department or the school to know the decision they made. If not, you might have to wait for abt 2 months before they send the hardcopy of their decision to you...

Thanks alot... I really appreciate, will send both the graduate School and Department an email. I applied for Winter 2018, and after the Decision Made on my account they added another TErm... Fall 2017/2018 to my application list (e sweet me sha that means September 2017) just need to know if its a Yes or a No.

Health / 7 Coping Tips For Parents With Special Needs Kids by aykay45(m): 12:04pm On Apr 27, 2017
Young kids need a lot of attention and love. For children with special needs, they need more attention and love as the situation can be a very challenging one for both parent and child.

One does not really understand what these parents go through unless the cap fits you. As someone with a physically challenged little cousin whom I watched grow, it was and still is very challenging for the parent. What I admired the most about them was the fact that my uncle was always helping out in caring for his little one, he seemed to be the most loved child of all, with a fairer complexion than the others and quite a handsome look, who wouldn’t love him.

The truth is if you have a child that is physically challenged, they need the extra of all the love and care you give to others. Here are some coping tips below

1. Have a full knowledge of your child’s condition: In other to save your child from a lot of trial and error treatment and advice you may get from people about his condition, there is the need to go the extra mile to get adequate information about his condition. After your child has been diagnosed, try to do a follow-up study and research about his condition, ask questions and get second opinions from health experts in the field. Having a lot of knowledge about your child’s condition will help you in caring for that child the right way. Be current with the latest trends and new development about your child’s condition. You are your child’s first doctor so you need to be abreast of the latest research on new ways to help your child’s special needs.
2. Remember you are not alone: No matter how you feel about your child always know that you are not alone. There are other people like him out there, who have passed through his present stage and are probably better off now.
3. Extra love: Shower your child with more love. You are you child’s superhero and so he sees you as the only strength and protection he has, so you should always be there for your child no matter what.
4. Have lots of patience: No two children even with the same challenge are completely alike, so as a parent, you need to accept the pace at which your child’s development and learning abilities are going. Whether fast or slow, he needs your encouragement whenever he hits a milestone no matter how long it takes. Never compare your child with others. He is unique.
5. Play with your child: Even if he is unresponsive still play with him, come down to his level and play with him, over time he will interact better.
6. Control your anger: Never hit your special need child out of anger, learn to control your anger towards him. He may not necessarily understand why you got angry and so may still repeat that thing you are angry about. It is not his fault that he is the way he is, so do not unleash your frustration on him.
7. Teach independence at the right time: Independence should be taught but at the right time, when the child is old enough. However, complete independence may not be achieved so at every point when necessary the parent and family members should be there to help.

bammy2050: prof Einstein...To me,it seems u r only being sarcastic 2wards UIL's students...I was admitted on merit as far back as 2011...I'm sori 2 say,if u feel merit cant work 4 u,then it wont.....I av tons of friends dat made it to UIL witout entering kwara state 4 once in their lives,b4 d lists were released....Tell me d most transparent skul in Nigeria nd let me ask u if they dnt produce graduates wit 3rd class nd pass year in year out(At least they admitted d best brains dat applied )...Wit 50 nd 99.99 u all av equal chances of being admitted since d cut-off is 50% (I hope u nw see d essence of familiarity)...Dnt be decieved 50 is d cut-off nd nt ur magnificient score...A graduate wit a CGPA of 3.50 nd 1 wit a CGPA of 4.499 r both second class upper division graduates...
I love ur point, tnks but lemme correct u on sumtin... CGPA is computed in 2 decimal place so a std wt 4.499 wil b approximated to a 4.50 and issued a first class, except its a 4.494 and below... #Fact
