The transfiguration, which was seen by Peter, John and James, bears no real resemblance to what Jesus Christ said in Matthew 16 vs 21 - 28 , so I don't agree with the reasoning that the transfiguration has to do with what Jesus Christ meant there in Matthew 16. And we have no evidence that James did indeed see the second coming before he was murdered.

The bulk of the Bible is about Duties Imposed by Law and examples of those who carried out their duties and those who did not.

And thus, all the admonishings in the Bible fall into one Law or the Other. That is what I have seen and now know and therefore I speak from thence.

Aside the transfiguration and ascension into heaven amongst other signs, John also didn't die before seeing the kingdom and all its awesomeness as revealed to him in the book of revelation. There were many things which were not recorded but the ones we know were recorded in view that they were enough to make us believe that Jesus is lord!

I believe the key is in the word "See" as used in that verse.

We know John, and Peter, for instance, did "see" the Son of man coming in His Kingdom, before they died.

27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

The one about"not tasting death" is not in my hand so I go on looking for my other duties which Christ called on me to do.

The "battle" you claim is against the flesh is in fact that of self-control which you deny. Jesus Christ taught us that by submitting and obeying His commandments, knowing the Truth, we each overcome Sin in our lives - John 8 vs 31 - 44 where a lifestyle of sin/iniquity is of the flesh. And self-control, through knowing of the Truth is the only way prescribed by Jesus Christ to be set free from slavery to sin. - He taught us no other way

Now, as for your battle against the world, Jesus Christ proclaimed that He had already overcome the world. But here you claim that you are fighting battles in the world against agents of darkness, and I am asking you where Jesus Christ taught you of this and how He taught you to fight things.

Jesus Christ did not write what is written there in Ephesians and since He alone commands us - we are called to do as He says for us to do , everything else is meaningless - I stress that we do it by His Word. So?

Sure, those that are in the light r3cognize the darkness just as those in the dark recognize the light -Matthew 5 vs 13 - 16. So where did Jesus Christ suggest that those who live in the light and recognize the dark - those in the dark fight against those in the light - must fight against those in the dark?

Satan came to Jesus Christ, to tempt Him, and Jesus Christ rebuked Satan. Did you know that not even God's Angels can rebuke Satan? This is confirmed even in the book of Zechariah and Jude 1

Jesus Christ said those who follow Him, those who are His friends are those who do as He taught them to do- what He says. And Jesus Christ never taught His followers to go chasing after devils in His name. So, I ask again, If you are truly in the light .I.e. in Jesus Christ, what business do you have with the darkness?

Jesus Christ never taught anyone that demons were responsible for sins nor did he suggest that they caused men to commit sins so where does this mind of yours come from?
