Not too many offer high capacity battery and would be of pocket loving price but with management you can make even a 1500mAh battery last pretty well. (Disclaimer....I do not back APC. My loyalty is to my country and its peoples)

1.Nigeria has been dependent on oil for a long time

2.Diversifying the economy is a long term thing....and PDP did nothing about it in 16 years.

3.And no.....selling non-oil products does not bring in much money, especially agriculture.

4.That leaves us with industrial development..and that is what I would be judging Buhari on.

5.That means prioritising power and mass transit as well as education.

1.What do you mean by improving living standards? Is it by sharing money so that people can import and live large......or is it by developing an indigenous industry which would provide jobs, revenue and cheap consumer products from food to cars....you know like Japan and China for example?

2.Dutch diseased economies like Nigeria are poor because they lose a lot of money importing things they can manufacture....leading to job losses. This is where PMB comes in....by addressing the industrial development of Nigeria...he can reverse these problems. Of course...it takes time....and with poor power supply....which PDP did nothing to improve....we produce half the power we need on a daily basis....

3.Where do you think we are getting the money to subsides fuel? From the oil money we make from exports. And that money is not enough any more. And agric is not a money spinner at all (Ask many African countries who rely on agric how they survive? Most of the time....they get millions in aid money just to keep the budget balanced).

Right now....Saudi and UAE....who earn far more than we do per capita.....are talking of removing their own fuel subsides....because they no longer have the cash.

Subsidy works....when you have the cash. And Nigeria does not have the cash.....and will never have the cash. You can pretend otherwise..you can even accuse me of having a banker as a relative(and banking in Nigeria is going to take a hit because of low oil prices)..but even if we got all our loot back....we still need far more. THAT IS WHY WE MUST INDUSTRIALISE!

Oil is a curse.

P.S.......Next time you respond to my posts....do not do so using intemperate language. Thank you.
UAE REDUCED subsidy by 24%, Saudi wants to REDUCE, not remove subsidy like UAE. "A source in the Gulf oil industry told Reuters that Saudi officials were 'seriously' thinking about reducing fuel subsidies gradually." D reason is not because dey can't afford it, it's because dey want to forestall "consumption inflation" which will affect d indigent among dem. Like I also educated earlier on, u can't just scrap subsidy without guaranteeing dat d standard of living of d populace doesn't nose-dive. In recognition of my informed view, Saudi plans to build a cheaper means of transportation dat doesn't rely on fuel. Dat way oil consumption will reduce and money will be saved because d lesser d consumption, d leser d subsidy on fuel. Nigeria can't use ur recipe, it has to use mine because it is PPP centred. We can't unilaterally REMOVE subsidy. who does dathuh? nobody! Not even UAE/SAUDI,d examples u erroneously used.

Point of Correction: Nigeria doesn't pay fuel subsidy from sale of agricultural produce. Look@dis, fuel subsidy stood@ 971billion in 2014!

About boosting standard of living which is d essence of govt after security, federal govt should create jobs, how they intend to do dat is their kettle of fish.

If oil is a curse, then d govt should find alternative means of generating income to sustain d national budget. Taxes and agricultural exports and Cutoms revenue are
viable sources. If u are in doubt crosscheck d revenue dat accrue to d govt from FIRS & Nigeria Customs. Another means of reducing subsidy & ova reliance on oil is to get d industries to work. He promised to do so, wot is he waiting for? I tot NNPC has been purgedhuh So y have we been unable to refine oil substantiallyhuh
CONCLUSION: Dis govt is confused&corrupt!!!!
NB: if u don't want to be insulted, don't insult others first!!!!!!

I don't expect them to. smiley

Largely because oil prices were elevated.....and the money ws rolling in. We were there before....in the 1970's, 1991 and now recently.
Really? So u are saying dat oil price dropped under Buhari's watch?? lolzzzzz... Nigeria began to experience oil shock in 2014 and not second quarter of 2015. If oil money is not flowing in, are there no oda means of generating incomehuh Buhay talked solo much about our dependence on oil, so wot is he doing to diversify d economy since he is there now?? Or is he clueless?? Respond to d issues I have raised.

Then we have to amend it. We no longer have the money because the price of oil has dropped. Oil subsidy is sustainable only when prices are good....it isn't when prices fall.
we should amend d constitution to syrike-out subsidy? lolzzzzz. Ur father must be d CEO of a bank. Be4 u talk about removing subsidy d govt should first boost d standard of living of d indigent who make up d majority of our population. Dat time subsidy may be removed. Subsidy is one thing dat every Nigerian benefits from d govt, which is a right anyway.

1.Most of the debt is from the administration of your hero GEJ.

2.The simple reason why we have the debt is because Nigerians do not want to pay N200 for fuel.(For once I do not blame the govt).

3.We do not have enough money to pay for subsidising fuel.....not yesterday, not now. It was clear a decade ago that fuel subsidy was not sustainable....but you people don't like fuel price increase.

4.Price of fuel is going to go up....until we have built more refineries to cater for our fuel needs.

This is one of the reasons i have not taken the opposition party PDP seriously.
Most of the economic backslashes we are experiencing now was inherited. The opposition will be quick to point out how bad our economy has degenerated forgetting that some of us are more intelligent and reasonable to know that the economy of a nation does not start crashing in a matter of months. It is a build up of failed policies and programmes cluelessly initiated or poorly implemented.
They're always quick to point to the positives of this present administration as a programme conceived and initiated by the GEJ but will distance themselves from the mess they created. What a hypocrisy!
Nigerians have no option than to wait patiently for PMB led administration as he clean the aurgen table left behind by the crooked and perversed government of GEJ.
To set the record straight, more than 50%of this debt was carried over from the previous government making the present administration to start from an indebted position.

Bizarre! # Robbers force # LAUTECH
# students to have # sex with one
# another
# WOW...this is sadly # sad in a university!
Within few minutes of settling down in a secluded place – off the campus – where Bimbola (not real name) agreed to narrate her ordeal to our correspondent last Monday, the dry white handkerchief she was holding became soaked with tears.
She tried to stop weeping for a while, but she couldn’t resist it, and the more her friend – who followed her to the meeting – tried to calm her down, the more she struggled to hold back her tears. What she passed through in August was painful, unimaginable and dehumanising. In fact, she might not be able to forget that night in her life.
Ever since the incident, everything about her has changed, according to her friend.
In the night of August 13, 2015 – around 12 midnight – she said she and her roommate had returned from a night reading class in preparation for their forthcoming exam in November, locked their room and were about to sleep when they heard their hostel mates jamming their doors, screaming and walking up the hostel stairs.
Before they knew what was happening, the men were at their door and expectedly, they forced the door open. “Come out now or we will kill you,” she recalled what the men told her and her roommate, and with fear and trembling, the girls did their bidding.
Three hefty fearful-looking men, clad in black polos and jeans, armed with guns, machetes and axes had stormed their hostel – located in the Under G Area of Ladoke Akintola # University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State – and demanded that all the students, both male and female, should # gather in # one room.
While one of the hoodlums stayed with the students, pointing guns at them should they ‘misbehave,’ the other two locked the entrance to the hostel, ransacked all rooms one after the other, stole the students’ laptops, money, debit cards, tablets and mobile phones.
But even after stealing all their property, the robbers were not done. The next command they gave the students was what Bimbola has not yet got over with.
She narrated, “They raped some girls in our presence, but not only that, they asked us to start having sex with ourselves. They called from among us a guy and a girl and asked them to have #sex with # themselves, right in
# everybody’s presence. They threatened to use their weapons on us if we didn’t cooperate. Then they asked all of us to strip naked. Since it was in the night, most of us ladies already had only our night gowns on, while most of the guys were just putting on boxers. They said we should all be naked. When they were satisfied, they called another pair of students to do the same thing and told everybody to watch.
“For about # three hours, they dehumanised us, humiliated us. Unfortunately, nobody in the next hostel knew what was going on; if anyone knew, they would have helped us to call the police or the Student Union Government officials.”
But what was more pathetic about Bimbola’s story was that she didn’t just witness the whole action; she was also asked to have sex with a guy she never
# dated. “Everything happened like it was a dream. They pointed at a guy I knew as my # junior and asked him to do ‘it’ with
# me . When I refused, they slapped me and I fell. I had no option than to # do it. I looked at my roommate and she was already shedding tears for me. How humiliated I was!” she cried.
She further told our correspondent, “It was not a night to remember. I # wish I could # erase it from my # memory . My friend and I returned to the hostel that night after reading in the school because our exam is fast approaching. If I knew something like that would happen, I would have stayed in the school till the morning, but I needed to prepare for the following day’s work. I had just finished having a shower when my roommate and I observed something was wrong.
Since July when they resumed for the semester, the students of LAUTECH have been witnessing robbery attacks and rape by the same set of unknown men – who call themselves ‘Three MOPOLs’ each time they barge into their victims’ hostels.
Though the institution is non-residential, individuals and private organisations provide accommodation for the students around the university.
The Welfare Officer of the Student Union Government of the institution, Ridwan Okedara, said he could not count the number of calls he had received ever since the incident started occurring in July up till about two weeks ago. He said it was unfortunate that the hoodlums had yet to be apprehended.
He said, “I’ve received calls in the past four months almost every passing night about this incident. Victims and eyewitnesses usually say the robbers were always three and they would tell them they were the ‘Three MOPOLS,’ but we are not sure if they are not even more than that. For instance, there were some nights when I received calls that the robbers were operating in the Adenike Area (a popular students’ residential area near the school) and I would quickly call our security officers to go to the said hostel, but few minutes later, I would receive a call that they were operating somewhere else.
“Before the security people could get there, the robbers would have left and we would hear they had started operating somewhere else. We don’t know their tactics yet. From what we have heard from eyewitnesses, they would enter a hostel, pretend as if they were looking for somebody and before the students knew it, they would threaten them with guns and machetes and ask all of them to be inside one particular room after collecting their phones, laptops and money. They ask the students to strip off their clothes – both male and female, then ask them to start having sex with themselves. They could call a male from say 200 Level and ask him to have sex with say a 400 Level female student.
“These robbers rape our students and then ask the students to have sex with themselves. We’ve heard a case when the robbers used white handkerchiefs to wipe the private parts of the students after the act. We are also suspecting ritualism here. They go to hostels anytime from 8pm to 1am and from eyewitnesses’ accounts, there was usually no light anytime the hoodlums carried out their operation.”
This is exactly what another victim of robbery in September by the same ‘Three MOPOLs’ said, who spoke with Saturday PUNCH on the condition of anonymity at a restaurant outside the school premises.
Meanwhile, Okedara has information about some of the hostels where the incidents [rape and robbery] had taken place, but pleaded to be kept secret to avoid undue stigmatisation of the victims, which is perhaps understandable.
The other victim who spoke with our correspondent said, “It was very dark and there was no light to see their faces when they came to our hostel. They told us they were the ‘Three MOPOLS,’ and mere looking at them, we could not imagine how they were able to gain entry into our hostel and ordering all of us to go inside one room. We were told to take off our clothes and they raped some of the girls. They didn’t rape me and they didn’t ask me to have sex with anyone, but they stole my laptop and phone. It was traumatic. It was like experiencing hell that night.”
The President of the school’s chapter of the Women Against Rape, Sexual Harassment and Sexual Exploitation, who is a nursing student in the institution and also the Vice-President, the National Union of Campus Journalists, Israel Fawole, said the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and the national body of the Women Against Rape organisation had already been informed about the issue and that they had taken interest in the matter.
He further said some of the victims had been taken in for rehabilitation at undisclosed locations due to the trauma they had experienced.

PoliticsConfirmation Brouhaha by AyoolaIgwe(op): 1:14pm On Oct 29, 2015
There are indications that senators belonging to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and those belonging to the All Progressives Congress (APC) are preparing for a showdown over the confirmation of some ministerial nominees.
The ministerial screening came to an end yesterday, October 28, and after the screening the PDP Senate caucus held a meeting in which they reportedly took a position against the confirmation of Rotimi Amaechi, Vanguard reports.
A source alleged that they vowed to withdraw their support for Senate President Bukola Saraki should he force Amaechi’s confirmation.
Amaechi is in the bad books of the PDP for his role in the defeat of the former ruling party, the PDP in the 2015 general elections.
The PDP caucus are also against the confirmation of the ministerial nominee from Cross River state, Usani Uguru. This is because during his screening, he said “God forbid” to a question as to his membership of the PDP
.
After their meeting which lasted for just thirty minutes, the PDP senators refused to speak to newsmen.
READ ALSO : Amaechi’s Screening: Senate Acted Within Rights – Presidency
However, some who spoke on condition of anonymity said the meeting resolved that before Amaechi’s confirmation, the Senate ethics committee report must be considered.
One of the sources also said the PDP senators resolved not to allow Usani Uguru to be confirmed today.
It was gathered that another meeting of the PDP caucus would be held before the confirmation.
Meanwhile, APC senators are said to have scheduled a caucus meeting this morning before commencement of plenary where they will be fine-tuning their strategies to push through all the nominees.
After his screening was deferred twice, the former Rivers state governor was finally screened on Thursday, October 22 by the Senate and the exercise left PDP senators alleging betrayal by the APC
.
During Amaechi’s screening, the PDP senators refused to ask him any questions. They resolved not to consider Amaechi’s nomination unless the report of the Senate committee on ethics and privileges on the petitions filed against the former Rivers State governor was brought forward for consideration first.
The confirmation process of the ministerial nominees is expected to be held today. The ruling of the Senate president will be final and can only be challenged when a senator calls for a division. It is at this point that PDP senators may challenge whatever decision Saraki takes on Amaechi and Uguru.

Reports reaching us have it that the election of Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state, has been upheld by the Oyo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
According to The Nation, the tribunal has dismissed the petition filed by Senator Rashidi Ladoja, the governorship candidate of Accord part against the All Progressives Congress (APC) man.
The judgment read by Justice Mohammed Mayaki, who headed the three-man panel, confirmed that Ladoja and his party “failed woefully” to present evidences on the allegations of rigging, electoral malpractices, violence and non-compliance with the Electoral Act among others, beyond reasonable doubt.
The report informed also that the delivery which lasted for four and a half hours, resolved all the issues determined in favour of Ajimobi.
All evidences presented by all Ladoja’s witnesses, saying they were not specific to incidents as claimed as well as failed to prove the allegations beyond reasonable doubt, were also rejected by the tribunal.
This seems to be a season of tribunal decisions, as the recent development is just one of the many decisions taken by the courts.

SOME OF D JONATHAN-ADMINI
STRATION ACHIEVEMENT.
1. Promotion and practice of true democracy by creating an enabling environment where people from diverse backgrounds and with divergent views and opinions can be accommodated. Under the watch of Goodluck Jonathan administration, the APC was registered by INEC as a mega opposition party big enough to challenge the PDP at both state and national levels.
