Politics › Okorocha Appoints His Sister, Ogechi Ololo, As Commissioner For Happiness by AyoolaIgwe(op): 12:58am On Dec 05, 2017 |
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has sworn in 28 new commissioners and 27 Transition Committee Chairmen for the 27 local government councils in the state.
He charged them to prove their worth in the service of the state and her people. One of the commissioners sworn in by the governor is his biological sister, Mrs. Ogechi Ololo (nee Okorocha). She is now the state’s Commissioner for Happiness and Couples’ Fulfillment.
Ololo, who is married to Chuks, an engineer, was the All Progressives Congress’ candidate into the House of Representatives for the Owerri Federal Constituency seat in 2015 and she has served in various capacities since Okorocha became the state governor in 2011.
She had, before her new appointment, served as her brother’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Special Adviser on Domestic Matters.
Swearing in the new commissioners and the Transition Committee Chairmen on Monday at the Imo International Convention Centre, Owerri, the governor charged them to leave their marks in their respective ministries and local governments.
He urged them to see themselves as men and women on a rescue mission.
The governor added that they had come to be part of the success story of his administration.
Okorocha said, “You are the privileged group that has the opportunity to make names for yourselves. I want to remind all of you that this appointment is not business as usual. We shall not tolerate any sharp practice or corruption of any type. Neither shall we accept indolence or laziness. You have been called to duty to help us to achieve our vision in the Rescue Mission Project.
“At this moment, I charge you all to be good ambassadors of the Rescue Mission wherever you find yourselves. To the Transition Committee Chairmen, you must ensure that ongoing projects must be completed especially the schools, chapels etc.”
He reiterated that what his administration had achieved so far had exceeded all that the previous administrations in the state, both civilian and military put together, had achieved.
The commissioners sworn in and their portfolios are: Prof. Nnamdi Obiaraeri (Information); Lady Ugochi Nnana-Okoro (Agric and Food Security); Gertrude Oduka (Primary and Secondary Education); Dr. Jones Uzoka (Niger Delta Affairs); Uchendu Mark (Public Utilities); and Gerald Okolie (Rural Development).
Others are Dr. Cyril Okafor (Tourism); Emmanuel Ojinere (Trade and Investment); Chief Lasbery Anyanwu (Transport); Onwueyiagwu Valentine (Youth Development); Mrs. Ngozi Njoku (Gender and Social Development); Chief Josephine Udoji (Works); Achilike Nwawuike (Internal Resources and Pension Matters); Prof. Emenalo Chizoba (Tertiary Education); Nwamerenini Chukwuka (Labour); and Dr. Iyke Njoku (Planning, Budget and Statistics).
The Transition Committee Chairmen sworn in include Okechukwu Onyechere(Ideato South); Sir Anyehe Okeneme (Ikeduru); Julius Onyeneho (Isiala Mbano); Akas Paschal, (Isu); Steve Odoemena (Mbaitoli); Eke Chidi (Ngor Okpala); Aloysius Onwuegbuchulam (Njaba); and Paschal Onwukaike (Nkwerre). https://www.google.com.ng/amp/punchng.com/okorocha-swears-in-sister-as-happiness-commissioner/amp/

Safiaa: And this girl should increase her knowledge. A pussy doesn't expand by the amount of intercourse she has had. I can have sex with one man 100 times and another woman can have sex with 5 men, 5 times. So do we measure the size of a vagina by the amount of men, or the amount of times? It's absolute bullshiit. The vagina is a muscle, it retracts back to its original size even after childbirth. Not trying to promote 'oloshoism', but this mentality is ridiculous.
But I do agree with everything else she said. U still didn't get her point. 5 different men cannot have the same dickson size...itz just not possible. Having even if itz just one partner is not still advisable. Some guys are just mean. "Ilokulo laso werey." Datz how dat one guy will use her. |

Romance › Re: Which Of These Two Is A Better Option For A Purposeful Union? by AyoolaIgwe(m): 8:13pm On Jan 11, 2017 |
Toks2008: COURTSHIP OR DUE DILIGENCE?
When it comes to starting a purposeful affair with a possible marital union we tend to apply caution and we will try to know about the other person hence we say we are in courtship.
But in my opinion I don't see courtship as a prerequisite for choosing a spouse but I would rather go for due diligence.
While courtship is regarded as a period where two people in a romantic affair gets to know each other in order to have a proper understanding of who they are...due diligence can be said to be an outright investigative process to clearly ascertain the persona of someone.
Yes we know that neither of the two guaranty a great marital union, many people could pretend during courtship no matter how long the courtship lasts, but due deligence will reveal a better picture of who that person is.
In fact I believe that the secret to the longevity of our parents marital union is due diligence where the two families of both bride and groom meticulously take time out to know relevant details of the family as well as the person their son or daughter intends to marry.
For me I will go for due deligence rather than the flimsy charade called courtship which is just a means of wasting your time and indulging in endless sexual gratification.
While most Men will choose courtship,I will employ the ladies to go for due diligence on the man they intend to marry to avoid time wasters and baseless courtship that is never a sure pass for a good union.
I don't know if this makes sense.
Happy new year Nairalanders. Due-diligence comes before courtship. The two processes don't hamper each other. |

kITATITA: 1. Get a Judge to swear in Barrow on January 19. 2. Barrow to form his Cabinet 3. Get ECOWAS, UN and other countries to recognize Barrow's team as the authentic representative of the people 4. Declare the government of Jammeh as illegal and order his arrest through an international warrant as regards point 1, which judge will agree to do dat? President of Nigeria picking a judge to swear in the President of another country contravene the principle of sovereignty which is still very much relevant in the current Political World Order. 2 to 4 are feasibile but one isn't. And points 2 to 4 rests on point 1. So which way |

Phace: President Muhammadu Buhari has imitated moves towards the actualisation of the mandate given to Gambian president-elect, Adama Barrow.
According to a statement issued by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Sunday, in the discharge of his mandate as the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) mediator for The Gambia, President Buhari has activated the process for the execution of his task.
The statement recalled that one of the outcomes of the just-concluded ECOWAS Summit held on December 17, 2016 in Abuja was the decision to designate President Muhammadu Buharias the Mediator for The Gambia with Mr. John Mahama, the out-going President ofGhana as co-mediator. It said the Summit also gave the terms of reference to include ensuring the safety of Barrow, the political leaders and the entire population; upholding the result of the presidential election held on December 1, 2016 and ensuring that the president-elect is sworn into office on January 19, 2017, in conformity with the constitution of the country.
According to the statement, on the direction of the President, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama is leading a Mediation Support Team (MST),working with the team of the co-mediator, President Mahama. The committee has begun immediate consultations with leaders in the sub-region as well as with international partners. main task of the Mediation Support Team is to undertake the first phase of the preparatory and support work that would lead to a high level meeting of the mediator (President Buhari) and the stakeholders,” it said.
It added that Buhari remained optimistic that a peaceful resolution of the problem,in line with the laws and the constitution of The Gambia was possible before the January 19, 2017 inauguration date of the new president.

Education › Why Yoruba Is Great by AyoolaIgwe(op): 7:07pm On Nov 02, 2016 |
*GOD BLESS THE YORUBAs* There something I cherish in the Yorubas & it is their simplicity. Yorubas can be very simple & humble after achieving soooooo much. The simplicity of d Yorubas is foolishness to Igbos &South-Southners. Igbos can be very pompous & full of themselves which explain d reason their daughters marry when they're already close to menopause & their sons marry at old age when their Yoruba counterpart is done with schooling their children. When you look at the population of the Yorubas relative to their pompous brothers in d South/South &South/East, you see d reason y the Yorubas hv a voice in deciding who sits in Abuja as president or vice-president. They hv d population which gives them an edge in politics. Our brothers in the SS&SE should retrace their steps and take life simple. Simplicity is everything. Before I sign off, I recall seeing a comment on nairaland in which a girl (from d S/S said she'll rather remain single all her life dan be a 4th wife to any man. Hmmmmm...she didn't say it cos she was a Christian but because of dat pomposity dat leave ppl like her single @45. It takes a man from a tribe dat cherishes simplicity to give his daughter in marriage as a 4th wife not withstanding his status as Commander-in-Chief, GCFR. #BEwise |
