Reuben Abati, I honestly donot envy you. How will you defend Tony Anenihs appointment. The man you once called an "old troublemaker" in your editorials? SMH Frawzey |
Obama said "All I had done in the past had come back in full circle". I love leaders that have a past - an interesting past that could spring up a conviction in your heart of heart that he is the ONE. Until nigerians separate sentiments and tribalism from destiny, we would still remain in the murky waters of corruption. God bless Buhari. I will vote for you again as long as you remain on the political terrain. Touching story I must say. Frawzey. |

Whenever things go wrong in a society, women are the first target. Some cultures have made women not more than glorified nannies who just come to this world to take care of kids and die in silence. Its ridiculous! Gender dynamics varies in each culture but its very important to note that women should not be victims of the law. Were these Indian women sleeping with cattles? Ofcourse the women were sleeping with men. Why weren't the men banned from using phones? Yes, because women are weak and easy to manipulate, abi. Shior. The ban has been put in place by Sunderbari council, which is in a Muslim-dominated area in the north east of lndiaApart from culture, religion is also one big factor in this. For instance, a simple check on most Islamic nations of the world and one would see that women are subject to some "laws". They really do not have a say. For instance, Saudi Arabia, which is the "holy city" (capital) of the religion, has a law that prevents women from signing for their kids surgery. I mean, your son wants to undergo surgery and your wife is not allowed to sign the papers! Until she receives permission from a male guardian (Husband, father, brother, nephew or eldest son). Can u just imagine? Also women are not allowed to drive, partake in sports, vote during elections, work in selected places. The law also says women be given strokes of cane like men if they flout the law - sharia law. Do you know what that means? A woman simply is born to do nothing but wear aprons in the kitchen,"tamba" for pikin in the toilet and serve men. In Iran, there are courses ladies (students) are not allowed to study in the university. All because they are women, a barrier has been placed upon them. Other religions that also have such laws are causing more harm than good. Truly, women must be allowed to achieve their dreams and use their talents. They must play their roles at home without being held in any form of bondage. I hope this sends a message to men who believe women are "weaker vessels/dummies". We must rise above the ills of our culture and religion because women are the salt of the earth. We should let them add spice to our lives and the world at large. Frawzey. |

*sighs* This is where I hate you- death. Death, if you could kill Chime, Azazi and Yakowa on the same day, what are corrupt politicians, boko-haram sponsors and the troublemakers of this nation still doing on earth? Ehn? All these have killed millions of people indirectly by stacking billions meant for the masses into their personal accounts. Maybe you are saving the best for the last. Please this time next year, let them be gone. Why? Because the carcass of those children who have died of hunger is begging for revenge, the blood of those who have died on bad roads is clamouring for justice, the souls of those who have been killed by randy policemen cos of N20 is hankering for revenge, the spirit of those mothers who died during child-birth cos of the poor state of our hospitals is crying out loud for justice (while the politicians go abroad for medical attention), the family of those who died from carbon mono-oxide emitted from generators are in sorrow. Death, you got have enough reasons to act! Just do the Ghana thing and let's have peace. Frawzey |

Its quite hazy... Is it right for a Governor and a Former Security Chief to use a military helicopter? Plus I still don't know what right have they to use a military helicopter for a trip to an unofficial funeral ceremony. I hope they survive...atleast to answer these questions. Frawzey |
jammyng: What a talent! Wish i had such. What you have is enough. Use it. Op, these days we hear of Nigerian,Chinese and Indian women making a difference and becoming successful. Where are the arabs in all this? They cannot be found because their laws have succeeded in making women dummies. In Saudi Arabia, women are not allowed to sign for their kids surgery talkless of driving a car. Some are not allowed to move around without a male escort. Ehn? In Iran, female students are banned from studying some courses in the university. All these kill their talents. I hope they learn from even Nigeria when it comes to women empowerment. Frawzey |
Gun control! Gun control!! Ha! When will they scrap this law? Data shows that 12,000 people are killed from shootings every year because of this stupid "arm-urself-mentality" in the US Meanwhile in Japan, 9 people die every year from shootings because its against the law for any citizen to have a gun. See the difference? From the lunatic who sent people to their early graves at the theatre to this one. There is no Xanadu or Shangri-la in this world - "freedom" comes with some ills. They should just scrap it. May their young souls rest in peace. Frawzey |
floriana: Honestly this is unfair. The person that should be getting this very well delivered and very effective slap should have been GOLDIE. That way, we would all have felt a sense of relief for her ridiculous representation on BBA. I wish I can locate that security guy, take him to an event Goldie is attending so he can administer his trademark slap. .Wishes of a new f-o-o-l. Frawzey |
Now let's see if 'em GEJ goons will call Sahara reporters FAKE on this one. OP, I'm sure Okonjo will now know what it means to have a legion of unemployed youths in a unsecured environment. If she's learnt her lesson, she will do something about it. Frawzey |

So the Feds decides to buy assets which is QE4. They buy banks assets and the Feds pay banks in cash, making money available to banks so that investors would be able to lend at a very low interest rate due to floods of cash. $45billion every month + the initial 40billion (QE3). Honestly I think this is just to cushion the fiscal cliff. The fiscal cliff entails that the US govt wants to cut $600 billion from the budget (to pay debt). So let's assume Obama and the congress don't agree on a different way of raising that $600bn and they end up cutting that $600bn, then it would reduce government support, subsidies, create job losses and investors will pack their money enter another country like China where labour is cheap. I pray they make a deal on this fiscal cliff so that it would assist this QE4 of today (asset purchase). If they can make the deal, yankee's economy will be stronger than marble. God help them. Otherwise na recession be that. Frawzey |
