OdenigboAroli: This claim of Abia doing better than Anambra in healthcare should be backed up with a proof not some beer parlour mouth off. I see anybody that speaks ill of Obi as an iidiot and an enemy of Anambra. What Peter Obi did for us will linger forever. Obi rehabilitated many hospitals, built new ones and news medical/nursing schools. Nnigga, respect your age so little children will not insult you. Obi laid a very solid foundation for the development revolution that is going on in Anambra today. Obi dug out Willie Obiano from nowhere, supported him even while people called him names and ridiculed him because of his choice of Obiano. I remember when everybody was calling Obi a fool and Obiano a puppet. These people are the same people praising Obiano, while castigating Obi. Ogini ka emelu uwa di mma.....But,may God punish any mouth that speaks ill of Obi and may you life never see justice ! May people lie against you and send you to early grave because of your lies against the man that showed us the way! As my God will punish your mouth that always speak ill about Abia state.. You are blind and will continue to live in the world of blind, so up to today you've not agreed that Obi chopped you people mugu, was it not your saint Obi that Chief Umeh exposed how he was collecting 10% contract sum of every contract he awarded in Anambra state while as a Gov? Pls and pls, don't ever compare Anambra with Abia because Abia surpasses Anambra in all ramifications, T.A. Orji is far better than Obi in city beautification, rural roads, education, healthcare, youth empowerment and commerce. I can't speak of industry because TA Orji did attract any new industry to Abia state while Obi brought the HERO lager beer. While people may believe Obi to be saint is because you always defend your own even when he's leading you to hell just because of the extreme love you have for your state. While reverse is always the case for Abians and Imolites who criticise their govs even when they are working. Guy, apart from Ngige and Obiano, Anambra has never produce a gov., I'm even looking at Obiano with 1 eye close because most of his works are billboards. Advise okijaAmaka to stop uploading pix here cos all he/she has been uploading are slums, old buildings which are bringing shame 2 ndi Igbo. Anambra generally is a run and I'm praying that God will help us and rescue just 1 city from that state. My Advice, stop defending and praising your Govs, that thing they are lavishing is not theirs but your money. Criticise them so that they will work for you, I know you love your state more than the future of your children but try for the security of your children future. |

oneeast: There is nothing to show in terms of real development even after Okorosha borrowed and wasted over 200billion. Imo thread is replete with the same old pictures from page one because there is nothing to show. There is no growth in the state. That was why nobody bothers to discuss anything here. Enyi go and rest nobody is interested in this your cooked stories. Rochas did not borrow any money and he's the best gov in the whole of SE, go to Imo state and get the 1st class information. Stop envy, it leads nowhere but to destruction. Lets learn how to appreciate good things, by the way your state is not better. |

Abagworo: Owerri, Orlu, Nkwerre, Anara etc is like one big city without connecting roads. Believe me if Okorocha completes Owerri to Akokwa this 1st tenure and then Completes Owerri to Anara and the Anara to Orlu via Amaigbo, a new city close to the size of Lagos must have been born.
On a side note Owerri seems to be the only City in the Southeast without sand deposits on its road. 2nd may be Umuahia which is also neat but smaller. Owerri is more beautiful than Umuahia, agreed. But in terms of sand deposits, Umuahia is more free than Owerri |
Politics › Re: Few Pics From Imo State by B2mario(m): 5:44am On Nov 03, 2014 |
millionaireman: Truth is that Nigeria through military governors and PDP-imposed governors had led the southeast for decades - except Gov Okorocha. SW has since been voting to liberate their states from imposed governors. Anyhow, do you not notice a worse Third World scenario once you enter Aba from Akwa Ibom or Rivers state, or once you enter Onitsha from Asaba? Southeast states need governors that begin with counting 1 before 2 - if SE governors establish the best hospitals without first providing their subjects with treated pipeborne water, is it not like counting 1 before 2? Good sanitation begins with having clean water. check your history very well, Igbo military officials like Ike Nwosu, Ike Nwachukwu and co ruled states like Lagos, Oyo, Kaduna etc. You mentioned coming to Aba from PH and Akwa Ibom, Onitsha from Asaba but fail to mention Enugu from Lokoja, Umuahia from Ikot Ekpene, Owerri from Aba and Onitsha. Tell the respective govs of the 2 aforementioned cities to pay appropriate attention to them instead of attributing the failure to SE as a whole. You and i know that Enugu, Owerri and Umuahia are one of the best cities in Nigeria according Nigeria standard. |

millionaireman: Self criticism is important. These ugly scenes shown by Chino are from SE states - not just from Imo state.
Nigeria has since created the type of Biafra it wants for the SE, but we do not seem to see it; whenever one is entering any of the SE states from outside the SE, one immediately gets the feeling of entering a worse Third World country.
SE leaders need to deploy available resources into providing infrastructure for the masses - such as pipe borne water, roads, educational, primary and tertiary health, etc, instead of going for vainglory projects, mostly in their state capitals. Oga, you lied by the above. Tell this to someone who has not gone beyond SE. |

MyTime3: I didn't want to comment on this thread all along but the level of denigration some folks are ascribing to Imo State is really annoying, irritating and thought provoking.
Imo State and Owerri in particular has witnessed tremendous changes in terms of roads and infrastructure in the last few years. I visit Owerri regularly (at least once every week) and I have seen change right before my eyes. So many new roads have been constructed in New Owerri e.g. 1st Inland road, 2nd inland road, 3rd Inland road, C.B anyanwu extension, Sun city hotel road, etc. just to mention a few. The bypass from new Owerri to Douglas road and other newly constructed bypasses are master strokes that helped decongest the Assumpta cathedral-warehouse junction traffic.
n.b: I'm not a fan of Rochas administrative style but I dare to say he is doing very well from an unbiased perspective. #youcantfightfacts
Plz guys I know 2015 elections are around the corner but lets give due credit to anyone that is performing... every country in the world has good and bad places. You don't need to post only the worst sites (maybe already corrected) just to overshadow or counter the good sites.
For verification purposes, I will appreciate if the pictures can be accompanied with date and location of capture to avoid misrepresentation of facts and maybe objectively draw the government attention to them.
Thanks. Long live Imo State! Long Live South east! Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria! |

Onyegecha: If you notice, my dear, i do not throw insults on people and i will not let you draw me down that lane of infamy. I will not keep quiet and allow anybody truncate the truth in the land of my birth. That is why i bother to respond to posts like yours. My question remains, who owns the university at Ogboko? Does it have a name? The so-called university at Mbaise, what is the stage of completion right now? The Imo college of Advanced studies,(built by Rochas) what has become of it now? What has happened to the school of health technology Amaigbo under Rochas? I may not blame you(that is if you are merely one of his victims) because we are up against a great scammer who can deceive even the very smart. If Rochas has surpassed Mbakwe like you claim, why do Imo sons and daughters troop out of the state in search of livelihood? Mbakwe built many viable factories. By now, Imo would have been the toast of the nation. The truth is bitter. Rochas has taken us back by sooo many years. Stop selling these lies because they may haunt you for many years to come.
You said you pass through Imo state regularly. Do you honestly think that is enough to make you an authority in Imo politics? Think again, my brother.
For your information, i don't even understand the mechanism of banning and unbanning people on this forum so quit barking up the wrong tree. My dear please I've said it before, i don't have time for this argument. 2015 election in Imo state will prove who is the liar. |
Politics › Re: Few Pics From Imo State by B2mario(m): 1:50am On Oct 27, 2014 |
This was your candid testimony millionaireman: Friend, you may wish to go back to this thread, observe that my comments have been for even development of all parts of Imo state, and not concentrating development only on the present Imo-one-City State of old Owerri and New Owerri cities, no to an ugly phenomenon where all five tertiary institutions in Imo state are located to the convenience of just one area of the state, and thus reserve the advantage of cheaper and mass tertiary education only for Owerri.
On this matter of roads, I harp on channeling of Orlu flood waters to a valley so that money spent by us Imolites on building roads in Orlu area shall not be a waste in a few years from now. Building the channel gutter is job of state government - never that of federal government, as abagw. here misinforms readers. Some of the roads Sam Mbakwe govt built in parts of Owerri still remain good, because the state govt provided drainage system in the city.
I said it earlier, Okorocha govt has done a lot regarding road development all over Imo state. If one continuously harps on ensuring that the roads last long wherever in the state they are built, that must be welcome.

millionaireman: Which university? Whose University? - The madam did not ask lie lie question - she asked de right question.
Who does not know the politics of location of tertiary institutions in Imo state? No court can grant the Ogboko university facility to a private organisation.
Truth is that if ORO leaves office without opening the university, next govt is most likely to convert it to a poultry or even a zoo. But Ogboko and neighbouring towns may not like ordour from poultry/zoo. Mr. Man your case is quite different from the case of Onyegecha(mrs/miss). Your problem is that you want Rochas to open a multi faculty university in Orlu and environs but you've never denied that Rochas has tried in the area of education, industry, road network(both urban and rural), cities expansion and beautification , health, hospitality, trade/commerce, etc. Atimes if i look at your case, your agitation seems to be just because you want your Orlu to be as develop as Owerri and compete with it in all facet of life which everybody can wish for. But Onyegecha will tell you that outrightly Rochas is a scam and has failed imolites, which i don't like. She has said repeatedly that imolites are facing worst road, worst education in Rochas regime and that Rochas has failed imolites and should be kicked out of office in the next election while the same Rochas is the best gov Imo state has ever produced, he has surpassed Mbakwe. Mbakwe did not build any University(pls ask gov. Ike Nwachukwu, he's still alive), his work then was centered only at Aba and Owerri, he did nothing in Umuahia(Michael okpara's home, where he said they broke his father's jaw of wine), Orlu(Collins Obi's area), Ohaofia and Okigwe(Amadi ikwechegh can tell more from his grave), but today the same Rochas Mrs. Onyegecha called a scam is building 2 universities in Imo state, one at ogboko and the other at Mbaise, I'm sure of 2 polytechnics, one at Orlu, former TESEIC and other at mbano, many colleges and schools(eg, the school of health technology at Okporo), he revived Avutu poultry, imo Ada palm and Oguta wonder lake, he's developing Owerri and at the same time paying serious attention to Orlu and Okigwe. Mrs. Onyegecha is a heartless liar and i believe she's a staff of Nairaland cos she has banned me many times because i said something good about Rochas which was true and was what i saw with my eyes. She has been trying to cover the main truth and can lie without conscience. No right thinking person can have the gut and say that Rochas has not done well in imo state cos the things are there for one to see whenever one is passing imo state. I pass imo state virtually every week and i know that before the inception of Rochas govt there was nothing like Malaysia mkt in Obowo, relief mkt in Owerri and Mgbidi, Orlu shopping plaza, Okporo shopping plaza, new Orlu building material mkt, no single dual carriage road and street light in Orlu and Okigwe, nothing like Heros' square, no free education, no University facilities at Ogboko and Mbaise, no school of health technology facility at Okporo, no skill acquisition centre at Okporo, no Imo anthem, no free school uniform for school children, no children parks at Orlu and Owerri, IMSUTH was almost collapsed, Rockview Hotel building was an abandoned property, Owerri was not the way it is today, no much rural roads(though Udenwa tried in the area of rural roads). So Mr. Man don't question me if i don't want to engage her. She's far from Imo state and can not ask question from people within. |

Abagworo: You ask too much questions. The Orlu/Owerri highway is longer than The Owerri/Elele highway. 305 schools with more than 200 completed. How many did PDP of 1999 to 2011 build? More than 500km of roads completed and another 300km waiting. How many did PDP construct? The truth remains intact as shown by my pictures earlier on this thread which I doubt if its of any use to repeat them. Imo State is the only State the Governor walks freely along the streets and drives around clearly seen. Government has been demystified and Keke operators, children, market women have access to the Governor.
In Imo State people can be aggrieved and enter or block Government house gate and the Governor or his aid will come out to address them without Police men or any arms. Can #bring back our girls! Protesters be allowed to block Aso Rock not to talk of Jonathan coming out personally to addess them. In Imo there is real freedom. Can D'banj snatch mic from Jonathan and his details will leave him untouched? |
