BastardWike:No, ShopRite is located at Egbu road not Egbu town. But I see all as part of greater Owerri city. |
Amah70:I will respond to you later when I have enough chance. Let me read news, I'm here now to read news. |
Graysons:But truth be said, Rivers state is not only owned by the igboid groups. Ogoni or Ijaw man should be allowed to rule. I have the feeling that Ijaw man as a governor of Rivers state will work for the Igbos and right the wrong. He will like to change the impression that Ijaw and Igbo are enemies. He will like to prove the Igbos that the Ijaws hold nothing against them. All the other tribes in Delta and Cross river states allow Igbos (Ifeanyi Okowa and sen. Lyel Imoke) to rule them. So Igbos/Igboid groups in Rivers State should replicate such kind gesture and allow either an Ijaw or Ogoni man to take over from Gov. Wike. |
ekesol:The whole of Egbema, Ndoni, Oguta clan in Rivers state and Etche should be ceded to Imo state. Then Omuma and Obigbo should be taken back to Abia state. |
jaybenugo:Things like these dey sweet corpers die |
Logan23:Ijaws like claiming people and people's land. Whatever they see in Bayelsa state, southern parts of Delta, Rivers, and Edo including the riverine areas of Ondo and Akwa ibom states even when they are speaking different languages with them is ijaw. How can you say people who speak language different from yours but same with another is your people? Ijaws are the real land grabbers in the south and whenever you attempt to tell them that these people are your people they term you land grabbers, people who went as far as claiming Ndoki, Opobo and Bonny in Rivers State, Ekpeye and Ogba in Rivers and Bayelsa states. This their attitude is the reason why they are hostile with their neighbors. They have fought with the itsekiri, Urhobo, Ikwerre and Ilaje people of Ondo state, they have attempted and threatened Edo people with war. They use oil deposit, rivers and state boundary as yardsticks for determining their Ijaw ethnicity. Any Urhobo, Igbo, Benin or Yoruba town or land surrounded by Rivers with oil deposits is assumed by them to be Ijaw land. |
SlayerForever:There will be a river port in Aba soon. The plan has been concluded. |
Amah70:Guy, the grammar is correct. What do you know? In some cases you don't observe the rule of Concord which states that plural verbs must go with plural noun. And stop bringing Orlu in this your picture of madness. You are not from Orlu, you are an imposter. Your opinion here does not represent the option of the vast majority of Orlu people. Orlu zone has gotten it's fair share of imo state development and properties. Imo state schools of nursing are located in Amaigbo and Okporo, the immigration training school is located in Umuowa, Imo state University teaching hospital is located in Umuna/Owerri-ebeiri, Imo international market is located at Umuna. And there other new University facilities located in Orlu zone which were closed down by Ihedioha. How many higher institutions are located in Owerri compared to the ones in portharcourt?. Almost all the higher institutions in Rivers State are located within the greater portharcourt metropolis. Stop this your childish nonsense, because it is capable of attracting hatred to free-minded Orlu people from the other indigenes of Imo state who may feel that Orlu people are envious of Owerri development and progress. Every Orlu son and daughter sees Owerri as his second home, at least 48 - 53% of properties in Owerri are still owned by people from the same Orlu zone. |
RareDiamond:This is a good news I love it. When will the take Obigbo and Omuma back to Abia state? |
sirjoe1124:I'm not disputing what you said but just watch this and compare. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnDCVOaIX4I |
sonsomegrigbo:As usual na, craft out something bad and put it on the igbos. 80% of the things (Igboland is underdeveloped, igboman love money, Igboman stingy, Igboman greedy, Igboman too like show, Igbos no like themselves, Igbos are ritualistic, Igbos are not strength forward, Igbos are this, Igbos are that) said about the Igbos are lies, just crafted and marketed out of envy to pull Igbos down. |
Grgton:Hope is very confused. I wish this man will not continue beyond 2023. When I saw the caption, Urban renewal, I thought he is going to take it to suburbs around Owerri and also extend it to Orlu and Okigwe. There's nothing Urban renewal in this movement apart from destruction of the existing beautiful roundabouts and introduce whatever he thinks is ok. Imo should go beyond this type of politics it's pissing. What is wrong in creating more new cities like new Owerri phase II or another layout in Owerri? Government should be for continuity not for all round overhaul. Destroying existing things to build new ones on the same space is wrong. And also abandoning a project of previous administration and start a similar project is totally wrong. If Imo continues like this in time to come the state will look horrible due to abandoned projects, waste of funds, lack of progress and expansion. I have seen a case where Hope demolished an existing hospital to build a mall on the same space, demolished a tunnel instead of reinforcement which the demolition is still ongoing for several months despite the claim that the tunnel was not strong. All these are waste of Imo state limited fund. If Hope goes down tomorrow another person that will take over from him might start demolishing his malls to build hospitals on the same space and claim that it was hospitals that were there but demolished by Hope, he might equally destroy the roads and return the roundabouts with the claim that the roundabouts were the initial plans. Hope should be called to order. Imo state government is not his birthright, it's something Imolites asked him to hold for them just for a while soon they will collect it back from him and give it to another person. He can't stay there forever. |
engrtee:The only problem they have is that they are too good. Hope you are ok now? |
modsfucker:Continue deceiving yourself fool. |
modsfucker:Clap for yourself. This is what you lots know how to do, writing rubbish in the name of Igbo so as to attract rubbish and negative reactions to the Igbos. A LGA chairman or a governor has no right to say whether his people or land belong to Biafra or not, it is only a referendum which is the real voice of the people that can tell the true wishes of the people. Forget about all these shouts, it's not today that we've hearing things like this. In Nigeria, people are more afraid of Fulanis and Fulani in power they can kill their own blood just to please the fulani. It's only Igbo youths and ijaw youths that can stand and agitate for whatever they believe without fear or favor even when they are being killed by the military. And mind you, Igbos have never taken Biafran agitation beyond Igboland. Anywhere you see Biafran agitation, it's done by Igbos indigenous to that area. Igbos don't encroach into another man's land like your people. It's only uninformed people like you do not know that apart from southeast, Igbos are in states like Rivers, Delta, Cross river, Benue, Bayelsa, Akwa ibom and even in Edo state. In Rivers, they occupy places like Oyigbo, Omuma, Etche, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, Ahoada east and west, Opobo, some part of Bonny and Eleme and even the 4 LGAs of Ikwerre. In Delta State, Igbos occupy Aniocha north and south, Oshimili north and south, Ndokwa east and west, Ika northeast and south and Ukwuani. In Cross river, they are found in places like Abi, Obubra, Yala etc In Benue state, Igbos are found in Ado, Oju, Obi, Okpokwu and in a very small number in Ogbadibo In Bayelsa state, they are found in Yenagoa (Ekpeye clans) and Sagbama (Ogba clans) In Akwa ibom, Igbo is found in Ukanafun (Ndoki clan), Ikot Abasi (Opobo clan) and in some other places. In Edo state, they can be seen in Orhionmwon (many Ika clans). |
Abagworo:The man with good heart, the only man that gave the poor the opportunity to go to school. |
melodyogonna:Better for you. Stop buying to propaganda, it's not good. Rochas did well in Imo state. |
melodyogonna:Iiar, which of the building and where in Imo state? You people should stop creating wrong impression on the internet |
DrGoodman:My brother, I wonder the kind of humans we have in Nigeria. Is it that these people don't know Enugu too well, but commenting and mentioning places as if they know just to create distraction and wrong impression. |
ckenneths:Otigba o ka na eti? M chere na boys siri ya lawazie na ya etizina. |
hammer3:Guy, stop this. It's getting too much. Are you trying to compare Anambra state with Lagos? What is the allocation and revenue generation strength of Anambra? Federal government excessively empowered Lagos to be what it is today. The only state that is a little bit close to its wealth is Rivers State. |
fergie001:Faulks road is ok now. No flooding, and it is now connected to Aba-Portharcourt expressway. |
kimjongJezebel:I tire for Nigeria and Nigerians. Where is the love and the spirit of one Nigeria. Since I was born till now that I'm heading to my 40, I've never seen a president of Igbo extraction and someone is forcing me to love and believe in a country that hate and has been frustrating my people. In 1999 they promised us 2003 and that was why my people abandoned Ekwueme project and supported Obasanjo so as to get Yoruba support enmass when it will reach our turn, in 2003 they promised us 2007 that we should support Obasanjo and allow him to complete two tenures and hand over to an Igbo and most of our politicians campaigned against Ojukwu of Apga saying that any vote to Ojukwu is wasted and a betrayal to Igbo project 2007 that we can not play the game alone we need the support of other Nigerians from other zones and we voted Obasanjo enmass leaving our son and selfless leader. In 2007, they told us that the initial arrangement was that power will be rotated North and south not West, East and North that we should exercise patient and support Yar'adua and wait till 2015. And we voted Yar'adua enmass leaving our two sons Ojukwu and Orji Uzor kalu. All of a sudden, Yar'adua died and Goodluck from southsouth took over, and 2011 when he seek for re-election, we did not only supported him but we see him as one of our son. And in 2015, we supported him because we think it is his constructional right to complete two tenures as Obasanjo did and it is totally wrong for you to leave someone who is trying his best to fix the country and support another person who you have tested in 1985 and suffered brutality in his hands. And in that 2015, both Buhari and Atiku promised to hand over to an Igbo person. But the tune has changed to the extent that some uninformed and uneducated self claimed politicians will wake up and go to the media and be shouting that Igbos have never worked for the seat, that they have never worked together with other zones to actualize their ambition. But the questions are: - is Obasanjo from southeast? Even his people rejected him and went for chief Falae but my people voted him enmass - is Yar'adua from southeast? Even his people from the north rejected him on the condition of health issue and supported Buhari but my people and southsouth voted him enmass. - is Goodluck Jonathan from southeast? we voted for him to the extent that none of our prominent politician contested so as to allow him get block votes from the southeast. - is Atiku Abubakar from southeast? We gave him block vote despite the fact that there were low turnout. And the reason was because of these promises and not fulfilling coupled with Biafran agitation, every Igbo man was like is Atiku going to be different from others? It is Nigeria that makes Igbos to lose hope from the country and Yorubas are being used as catalyst, why should they be vying again when they know that they have ruled ruled since the return of democracy in 1999. Some of their elders had cautioned Tinubu to drop his 2023 so as to allow an Igbo man to rule but it seems that he did not take it. It is now clear to us that there was an agreement reached between the Hausas and Yorubas as rumored, "Never Allow Igbo Rule Again (NAIRA)". Then how do you want us to believe in this country. After 2023, I will destroy my PVC and will not vote again. I can't be supporting people while they can't support me. Banza! Is like Nigeria is playing with the intelligence of the most intelligent people. For those that were not born before 1999, please browse election results of Nigerian elections from 1999 to 2019 and confirm everything I've written here. The saying that Igbos have never supported or worked with other regions is quite laughable. Supporting Buhari should not be used as the basis of judging, we supported Goodluck Jonathan and knew it too well that he was going to hand over to a northerner possibly, Atiku. We benefited in his government in terms of appointment likewise the Yorubas benefited in Buhari government and has become the richest zone in Nigeria according to 2019 bureau of statistics. Today no Hausa or Yoruba is singing of zoning because they've all benefited from it. It was zoning that brought Obasanjo, it was zoning that brought Yar'adua, Goodluck Jonathan entered there by luck, it was zoning that brought Buhari and it was zoning that made PDP to make Atiku Abubakar their flagbearer the last election. |
oneeast3:Will you tell me where I must be. Boy is like you are still a baby. I don't see nairaland as you see it. I see it as a news forum where I come and read news and comment when necessary. |
Mod, stop bringing me here. Who always bring me to the comment box of this thread any time I'm logging in? Nairaland officials take note and let my account not be hacked. cc: seun |
Osagyefo98: |
Ebenezer2021:That guy is not even Igbo, be mindful of the enemy's tactics on nairaland. |
Blackking98:Guy stop quoting this guy, he's not an Abia man. |
garfield1:Tor, whatever you think. |
garfield1:Rochas wanted to do as you said but some of them betrayed him, especially Eze madumere. He started working with Uzodimma right before now. |
kikake:Look at an imposter telling me about my home. |
kikake:This last paragraph has shown the reason why you've always attack Rochas and discredit most of his good projects on social media, just because of his presidential aspiration. "Tinubu paid agent". Oga, I don't have time for political campaigns, I've grown beyond that. I'm saying the truth the way it is with picture evidence. I'm not doing any campaign for Rochas or your Tinubu. Prove to me here, if the pictures and video I posted here are not true. You've now proven that the main reason of your attack on Rochas is because of his presidential aspiration. What concerns Nigerians with how he did his work in Owerri and Orlu. The most important thing that matters is how was life in Imo state during his regime? - He gave free education to all levels to Imo indigenes - He created 20,000 jobs + 3,000 jobs (which were sacked by Ihedioha i.e only 3,000) through his imo youth must work policy - He created an amnesty program to reduce crime in the oil rich zone of the state - He built houses for widows in all the 27 LGAs of the state - He created many roads - He established 10 new higher institutions - He built 27 general hospitals and 4 specialist hospitals - He built Imo international cargo airport - He built a state of art federal high court - He built a state of art federal prison - He built a state of art police headquarters in Owerri - He built Imo international conference center (ICC) - He built a state of art Imo investment center - He renovated Imo state Secretariats as shown in one of the pictures - He built new government house - He built the only ecumenical center in the whole of eastern region - He built traditional rulers' Secretariat which hosted Nigerian traditional rulers in 2018 - He built freedom square and hero square with a hall of fame - He built several 10 lane roads in Owerri and 4 lane roads in Orlu - He built Bongo apartments and Akachi apartments - He built state of art community markets in various communities of imo state - He dualized Owerri to Orlu road as shown in one of the pictures - He dualized the federal road from Orlu to Akokwa, a boundary town between Imo and Anambra state - He started the Owerri to Aba express road before it was taken over by the federal government - built many bridges linking communities - He built two stadia in Orlu and Okigwe - He built two tunnels and two flyovers - He built skill acquisition centers in several LGAs of the state - He gave out free taxis and buses to imo indigenes - He gave free school uniforms and writing materials to Imo pupils, very too many to mention. He still remain the best in Imo state leave media blackmail. Rochas is a philanthropist and he extended his hand of charity to Imolites. Prove that everything I said here is not true let me give you picture and video evidence right away. Right inside you, you know that Rochas did every well but you won't accept because you are working for your paid masters who see Rochas as a threat to the political ambition. I'm not talking of politics or presidential aspiration here, I just want to debunk the lies that have been flying on air. I can't be having headache over another man's ambition, Rochas does not know me and will not care to know me so continue with your media political campaign. I don't care Umahi is doing well today and he is free of any media blackmail because he has no presidential ambition but as soon as he declares that, most of you that are praising him today, using his work to compare that of Rochas will still turn against him. But one thing you failed to know is that life is being ruled by destiny, what will be will be. If Tinubu is destined to be the president nothing can stop him so stop tarnishing someone's image just because of his ambition. |
