Abagworo: Stop spamming the thread with pictures of flood during a rainy day please. We need decent pictures. I don't know where your fiction of Imo people living in Onitsha is from. I believe probably Orlu people selling drugs at the headbridge who might number around 10 to 20 thousand are the only people from Imo State who can live in that slum because they are mostly traders too. In Nigeria, the most dispersed people are from Anambra but it does not mean anything than scarcity of resources and quest for more. Here are pictures from Orlu.abagworo i've been to these places in orlu but dont know the 2nd picture, where is that?... Pls shun this boy(chino), it was when i dont know him that i was engaging with him disgracing my fellow igbos from anambra, this boy must be a local village champion, no civilised man can reason the way he does. He is a stunch lunatic for crying out loud. I thought he was on probation why getting another identity, this is to show you that he's not responsible. Your engagement with him almost made me not to be happy with you atimes. Most of us know that what you are saying is right and correct. Those pictures of aba and onitsha you showed in the other thread are true and current. |
must you lie? I was at awada just last month abeg dont even tell me thats 7 years old pics be honest for once
my brother live chino i've known him by his gramma and know that he can not give any constructive contributions, let him be defending our bad government while they are siphoning our resources for their generations even unborn. Chino will never see good development in his area if he's claiming that what present govt is doing is right. I will continue to be giving my govt constructive criticism untill they live up to my satisfaction. We have everything it takes to be like malaysia(a small contry but fast developing), nigeria is the 3rd richest country in Africa while the 30th in the whole world while places like thailand, isreal, south korea, cyrus, georgia, kuwait, greece etc are better than us while we are far richer than them. So how can i defend my state govt with this sad mind. My dear i'm not happy with the state of things in nigeria. |
Abagworo: This is Mgbemena street, Awada and why can't it be like picture2 which is also a street in London? Places like Uyo, Calabar and even Port-Harcourt have good roads but still lack houses but all that is needed in Aba, Onitsha or Nnewi is just good roads and repainting of houses.abagworo thanks alot for these wonderful contributions. Our leaders are the highest travellers but they claim to be blind, our good cities like Aba and onitsha which require little attentions are just fading away. The only notable different between Aba and onitsha and london is just good roads and painting. |
Abagworo: The reason why I feel disappointed in both Orji's(Kalu and Theodore) is that Aba would have easily been one of the most beautiful cities in Nigeria because of its excellent symmetrical planning and the good houses well lined. All that is needed is just good roads, drainage, walkways and markings. Looking at the pictures below, you'll get an impression of my dream. The 1st one is London while the last 2 are Aba which could easily have been like London if the Government did the proper thing and individuals repainted their houses.abagworo you are right and no Abian can dispute that, we are disappointed in both but i think orji kalu was even better in Aba during his own time... I wish some Abian govt officials are on nairaland so that they can see the disgrace we are receiving because of their inability to put things right. Aba one of the then most important towns of nigeria during colonial era is now lossing it's glory. The dreams of jaja wachukwu, the 1st indigenous speaker of nigeria house of representative who move the bill that Aba should be given attention, michael okpara who did some upgrade both in Umuahia, Aba and portharcourt and even mbakwe who did the massive transformation are just dying. |
^^^ Ok!
please dont mind those people, they are yorubas. This is what the love to do, always derailing any thread concerning igbo happiness and progress. Ask them to tell you which part of ijaw they come from and what dialect of ijaw do they speak. |
I think Obi and Orji are the two Governors in the South East with the most 'local' mindset of all.....they don't seem to give a fuc/k about modernizing their cities and making them 21st century compliant! When one talks now, their cheerleaders (esp' Obis own) will tell you that they're not interested in planting flowers and greenery, but that they're laying solid foundations for the next in-coming gov't.....and this is after 6 to 8 years as Governor! Since they claim to be about more than just 'flower planting', ask them to show you the well equipped schools/universities, hospitals, world-class mass transportation system, intra-city roads (in cities like Onitsha, Nnewi, Awka and Aba), water works, respectable monthly IGR that reflects the states status as one of the nations commercial/industrial hubs, world-class hotels, and multi-national industries attracted since assumption of office (that the sitting Governor has no shares in)......ask them to show you these and they're left with a dumb look on their faces! Imagine, pics were taken of Nnewi, and this is what we can term the best of the best to show to the world? Is it too much to ask that -after 8 years as Governor- we should expect to see nice intra-city streets......well swept, with street lights, road markings and sidewalks (after all, this is what a LG is meant to do, and Obi has been in charge of LG funds for the entire duration of his tenure)? For as long as we accept this rubbish from all these criminals, shysters, conmen and visionless twerps forming as man-of-the-people , we should expect to be derided and mocked by others!
my brother your point is straight forward, i'm not against anybody criticising T.A orji because he's living 'below' or will i say' without' the expectation of people of Abia. But if it's what i'm seeing in anambra(ie whenever i go to the state), T.A orji is far better( the only dual carriage road obi built in awka is zik avenue while non is in nnewi and onitsha, but i heard he want to dualise upper iweka which i dont know if he has done) because he dualised many umuahia city roads like missionhill, libray and akanu ibiam road, bende road, new secretariate by-pass, aba road, built many roads in umuahia, built 3 ultra modern markets, built new 2 complex 5storey secretariats and another one which will be 12storey building is ongoing and they have reached the 6th floor with the skeletal work, equiped ABSU and built new lecture blocks atleast ABSU is still one of the best state university in W.Africa, built many hospital and teaching hospital at roadside in umuopara going to owerri, built many schools both primary and secondary but not like the ones in imo state just classroom blocks, distributed up 1000 taxis to youths but we termed that one compansation to his supporters but it was free of charge, dualised aba/owerri road and built garden at osisioma junction in aba, built many rural roads that's why Abia state has no problem with rural roads, he's now beautifying aba/ph express road with pedestrain bridges in every 10poles though i dont support the idea, he attracted many modern hotel in umuahia like biena aires, vera roy, de helson, eastern comfort etc, and in Aba like benidol, luxery city towels though Aba has many hotel before now because of Abiriba people who invest more in hotel, he also install street lights in umuahia, building new ultra-modern government house, attracted a very modern estate (adedebu housing estate), attracted shoprite and this new modern mall that's attracting peoples attention they want to build in aba, built catholic church for MOUAU students though federal university, he signed agreement with akwa-ibom state govt to dualise Aba/ikot-ekpene road. We dont have problem with T.A orji in area of umuahia and rural roads but the problem is Aba, he's not doing well in Aba, building road while he knows that aba drainage system needs to be revived. Because of this many roads he built in Aba did last just like in faulks road, ukwu mango, eziukwu road etc. But recently he started work in Aba just like peter obi and he's now working to revive Aba city drainage so that he can make Aba one of cleanest city in nigeria since this big mall is coming to Aba, though ASEPA is trying before now atleast umuahia is one of the neatest capital city in nigeria while you hardly see any heaps of refuse in Aba, and they have designated places they dropped their bucket while their men are always at work. Yes! Another problem we have with T.A orji in Aba is that he has never built any road in across express while the place is fast developing, people are building 5storey, 4, 3, 2 and 1 without no single road and major people doing business in ariaria market reside in these places like abayi-ariaria, umuode, umuocheala, umuojima, umuocha, niger-stone etc. But he's doing well in oil producing areas of like the ukwa west, east and obingwa. |
remark D: lol my brother, they can't help themselves... they love Igbos and hate them too.... they don't know what they want - they say Igbos should leave Lagos which they wish and claim is "Yoruba land" lol.... but any sign that shos needed infrastructural development in the east... you see them becoming analysts to start pointing out why Enugu doesn't need an international airport or why Aba is not a good place to build a mega mall but Lagos and Ogun.... (again where they want Igbos to evacuate for them)...... I mean... what do you call that kind of problem....the problem is something i can not understand even up to now. |
Hmmmmm, he failed to mention the affected states. |
agbameta: Emotions, sentiments and holy ghost don't build anything without human competence, honesty and credibility.my dear what change are you talking about, please shun the matter because your arguement is not constructive, many construction companies in nigeria are scam even your popular julius berger, the main thing is how you inspect and follow them up. Your criticism is not just because of the construction company but your hatred for SE. Please already we have many companies here in Aba; NB, uniliver, PZ, Guiness, coca-cola, 7up, valumbra, bonemax, tonimax, saclux, dutch, NNPC, clover etc, they are numerous. So man rest! |
Abagworo: I believe that since Ariaria market has more than 50 to 100 thousand shops, then this one is possible. Its just a matter of moving few lines to the complex.you are point! |
Way to go SE..keep moving in this direction and you will reinvent your land. Please, tell the developers to not forget a fire station for the mall. A mall that size will suffer huge loss if there is fire outbreak and no quick response on hand to control spread.
Abia state already has a good fire service. |
Sloan: Ol'boy you don blow wind show fowl yansh o! The guy seems to be trying to get into politics or attain some political office. He is Deltan, does not seem to have even attended any rated university in Nigeria but LBS and a few courses in China and US, and he will organize the construction of 5,000 shop market in Abia? What is in Abia, are they richer than his home state of Delta or Orji has told him he will finance it? Question, questions, questions! An established brand could be believable but the pedigree of this man is unknown to me at least! But if anyone wanted to construct a real mega anything at a cost of a few billion (mostly bank money, I guess) which bank will give you money in Nigeria to go and build in Abia while neglecting Lagos, Abuja, PH, Ibadan, Ogun where the money really is? Their GDPs and IGRs are much higher than all the states in SE and above Abia. Does he want to spend 100 years to pay bank the loan?Hmmmm, i cant articulate what you mean or the level of your reasoning. What do you mean by GDP and IGR? If you have heard or been to Abia or Aba in particular you wouldnt have said this, Aba that has many reputable companies and big market before now. If the man is from Delta state it has nothing to do with business, by the way, the owner of the reputable farm, songhai farm which is one of the best and biggest in africa is from imo state but he has the headquarter in Port Nova and branches in Rivers state, Delta state etc. Even dangote and his group who want to build an ultra modern petro-chemical company in Ogun state that will cost 9billion dollars is from kano, so why not in kano? |
geeez: To understand the level of their mentality better, see what they claim is an ultra modern marketMy friend stop showing us the height of your illiteracy and tribalism, that market is just a timber market at ahiaeke umuahia. And he built up to 3 new modern markets in umuahia, the new timber market, the spear parts market a.k.a mgbuka and umuahia main market. And for your information shoprite has commence the building of its branch in umuahia. |
agbameta: Over 5000 shops,? The largest mall in the world is in China and it has 2000 shops.when jesus said he will destroy and rebuild the jeruselem temple people like you laughed at him. So nothing is impossible let's just wait and see, God is really coming to rescue we, the Abians. One thing i love about T.A orji is that he has never said anything he will not do, though is works are minimal but most are what he said and he do them to an end. |
Abagworo: Contrary to your belief, I'm not an APC supporter. Maybe you've been biased in your views. When Soludo joined APGA and people thought he would get the ticket, didn't you notice how me, other Igbos and even non-Igbos were happy for Anambra? Its still all over Nairaland for you to see. I've been a critic of Peter Obi and I also am not in support of him imposing a successor when his own track record is abysmal. I praise Rochas because I've seen sudden changes which if Peter Obi had done in Anambra or Orji in Abia, the levels would have been different. I'm in support of any positive change or impact on the masses and not party. Ngige will definitely make more impact than Obiano who will be slow and dishing out cash to Churches, schools and village heads as dividends of democracy. Doesn't Nnewi deserve a road like this?please abagworo which new road is that? |
biafranqueen: Onitsha was the big market back in the days but the Nnewi people were the ones supplying the market with the industries.you are on a big point sister. |
ketoprofen: i dont think so.during zik time, sir luis odumegwu was the richest igboman and was also financial sponsor of the then NCNC |
ifyalways: Interesting .you are on point, anambra should go for tested and trusted, well guarantteed for development. As we normally say, the devil you know is better than the angel you dont know or wish to be with. |
gratiaeo: Imagine human being compelling Enugu with Anambra State.Chai, my people are perishing out of ignorance. |
1. Nwokem why not go to abia market thread and continue this your madness?... No informed person like me can display madness in any form. So check yourself very well. 2. What Obi has achieved in Anambra will take the Okrocha the next 30years to attempt..that is a known fact!.... Please read meaninig into what you said, we have eyes to see so dont spur falsehood in the name of being sentiment. 3. Anambra hosts 1/3 of Imo population, the last we checked there is no single Anambran living in entire Imo state..... Imolites are known to be the highest travellers in igboland, atleast they helped in development of our state as they are doing in other places. 4. What has the clown okorocha achieved if not that he has borrowed over 100 billion with nothing on the ground to show for it..... Have you confirmed this from a right source or you are just saying because you heard. Rochas owes no dine to any bank, this is outright falsehood crafted by opposition to destroy Rochas govt. 5. Development does not start and end with road tarring in the state capital, what about other indices of development: health, education, employment, industrialization, in all of these Anambra is a force to reckon with..... Rochas is far much better than Obi in all these areas you mentioned. Why is everybody capitalising on industry, is hospitality industry not part of industry?.. Hotel is a hospitality industry which earns money like other industry, consult your economist to know more about industries. 5. Anambra state is not all about painting the state capital and other major cities, rather we are building the entire state, the cities, the towns are all receiving maximum attention unlike a state that I know that has been painting and planting weed on the shabby roads built over 30years ago and left other parts of the state to be dungeon, inaccessible, underdeveloped, timid etc..... Rochas work is beyond painting of roads and planting of flowers he's building many dual carriage roads and roundabouts, he's truely working which outsiders are also seeing it. Rochas work goes beyond the three major cities. The dual carriage road of: the aba/owerri road runs across many rural communities, the owerri/orlu runs across many communities and small town like Umuaka, the orlu/mgbidi road will also cut across many rural communities, the orlu/akokwa roads runs across many small towns like mgbee, urualla, osina and akokwa with roundabouts at every junctions, the okigwe road also cut across many communities, mbaise is also receiving attention with a roundabout at ahiara juction. |
hmmmmmmmm, hmmmmmmmmm, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! |
happy independence anniversary! But i'm expecting more good things from nigeria... So what do you think? |
happy independent anniversary! But i'm expecting more good things from nigeria... So what do you think? |
Chiemeka orizu: Well I was in nnewi(my home town) yesterday....I was outrightly astonished@the level of development I saw. Gov obi is really trying, though I am not his fan. So proud to be from this part of anambra state...nnewiyes, nnewi is really the pride of East when it comes to individual riches/wealth.... Without nnewi, anambra would have....... Yes, you understand what i mean. |
ketoprofen: Am not from nnewi but Nnewi is d area of my alma mater.you have right to support any party of your choice, so abagworo should not be crucified for that. But i, myself i believe in personality not party. In my wonderful opinion, i think Ngige is the best candidate since soludo is no longer in the contest. I hope to see when anambra will be like hamburg city of germany with nnewi being the industrial power-house. How nnewi people are industralising their home of origin is something of emulation, i think orlu people, abiriba, nkanu and even ishiagu should do like such. |
bestview: Nwokem go and sit somewhere. Anambra is a state with many cities and towns, we are developing all of them simultaneously. We are not doing window dressing and washing the face without washing the body just like that clown okorocha is doing in imo state, even with all the massive loans he has borrowed there is still nothing on the ground for the poor people of imo state to show for it. Anambra is developing all sectors, which is why MDG and development partners are reckoning on Anambra as the place there is light and improvement so far.Hmmmmm, you have mind to have say something like this. How can a right thinking man compare Rochas or sullivan with obi complete 8yrs of nothing. Pls leave sentiment out of this, we all are igbos who love ikemba and should be happy to identify with Apga but to be sincere Apga has failed and need to be dropped. Dont criticise Ngige because of party affiliation it has nothing to do with if he'll work or not. If anambra is good as you claim to be, you should not be the only person singing the praises rather visitors and passer-bys will equally do just as they are doing in the case of akwa-ibom, enugu, imo etc. You are now shouting ikemba, but how many times did anambra people disgraced and failed him politically. He contested for senate in 1979 what was the outcome? even in 2003 presidential election when your folks came out openly to say that ojukwu did not believe in nigeria so what's the need for him to contest, and this was done just to get obasanjo face. You know it too well that when ikemba was alive he was so much respected and adored in other igbo states than anambra state, anaghi ama dike mgbe odi ndu ma o wu mgbe onwuru. Did ekwueme belong to zik party when he was given VP slot and many igbos voted for shagari living zik and his party. So if ngige belong to yoruba party live him because it doesnt start today, i think we have grown above that party politics. |
so this comparism has never stopped. Abagworo i've noticed that you like this, what again do you want, everybody believe that your imo state is far better than many states so lets spare this and this is the major reason why i dont want to open any thread for Abia state because these likes will come and tell me how more bad Abia is, which already i know. Afam do your work or i will take that moderation work from you. Inno thanks for your few pictures, i promise by next or 2wks i'll get some pictures of Umuahia for you all. |
but ngige would be a good administrator going by what he did in anambra state for just 2 and some months. |
i weep for them |
nice pictures but label them for more clearification. |
