One of the health attendants that
attended to the Liberian that died of
Ebola virus in Lagos went to the church
last Sunday to testify to the goodness of
God in her life. The testifiers were 10 in
number and she was no. 4 in queue.
When it was her turn to share testimony,
she testified that she is negative to Ebola.
When it was time for her to return the mic
to the Pastor to call on the next person.
Pastor: Don’t worry, give the mic to the
next person.
Next person: (shifts back) nooo give it to
pastor.
Ebola testifier: Pastor, take your mic, he
is not collecting it.
Pastor: Give it to the sister behind him.
Sister: Shuuooo! I don forget my
testimony, may be next week.
Ebola testifier: Pastor, if you are not
ready to collect the mic, I will put it on
the floor (going back to her seat)
Before she turned back to where she was
sitting before, everybody in the church
has jumped outside for their life.
Ebola patient do have chance of survival,

PoliticsPolice Service Commission Promotes Eight To Digs by b3llo(op):
The Police Service
Commission has approved
the promotion of six Assistant
Inspectors – General of Police
and two Commissioners of
Police to the rank of Deputy
Inspectors – General of Police.
The AIGs are Dan’Azumi Job
Doma, Mamman Ibrahim
Tsafe, David O. Omojola,
Solomon E. Arase, Christopher K. Katso and
Salihu Argungu Hashidu, while Hilary Opara
and Sotonye L. Wakama were promoted from
the rank of Commissioner of Police. The
promotions are with effect from 19th August
2014. The Commission also re-affirmed its earlier
decision that promotions from the ranks of ACPs
to AIGs would only be done after its interviews
with the affected officers.
The Commission had earlier at its 6th plenary held
on 12th August 2014 reviewed the time limit
within which aggrieved police officers can lodge
complaints against punishment meted to them to
thirty (30) days from the receipt of the decisions.
It has also availed aggrieved officers the
opportunity to appeal directly to the Commission
where an action on its decision is not
implemented by the Police authorities as directed
by it.
The Honourable Chairman of the Commission, Sir
(Dr.) Mike Mbama Okiro, while congratulating
the newly promoted officers enjoined them to see
their elevation as opportunity to serve, imploring
them to use their wealth of experience in uplifting
the Nigeria Police Force.

CultureRe: Pls I Need Advice On How To Go For My Marriage Introduction In Igboland by b3llo(m): 5:04pm On Aug 11, 2014
chinelo5: Marriage in any culture depends on several factors; the lady herself, the lady's immediate & sometimes extended family, the village, the state of origin etc.
when my husband came for "iku aka" i.e "knocking on the door"(introduction), it was a very relaxed atmosphere. I made all enquiries and confirmed everything myself by speaking with my dad regularly. He only came with drinks, his brother and a very close friend from the same state as mine.
My dad (God rest his soul) reduced the items on the list(even though the original list was no biggy). His reason was that no man can compensate him enough for his daughters hand in marriage. To think that my husband is not Igbo yet my immediate and extended family welcomed him with open arms. This is why I said in the beginning that it all depends on the lady in question, her family etc.
don't be afraid, don't let tribalistic morons discourage you. I'm also from Alor in Anambra.
Traditional marriage in my village is simple smiley
I desire to marry an Igbo girl but from what Alor pple are saying about their tradition, they should be my choice. Am from Gombe hope your people will welcome me
