Descartes: Producing a president by a particular region, does it amount to development in that region?
Its not about a region producing the President, its about the average political opinion of that region being relevant.

Because of the love for GEJ, I've seen people actually support Buruji Kashamu and politicians like Omisore (all because they were endorsed by GEJ and not because they know anything about them).
Politics › Re: What Is The Future Of GEJ Supporters Beyond 2019?? by ba7man(op): 4:03pm On Aug 03, 2014
It would really be disgusting to see those same GEJ followers now licking a Youruba or Hausa man's bu-ttt after all the insults and mocking they've heaped on them.
Politics › Re: What Is The Future Of GEJ Supporters Beyond 2019?? by ba7man(op): 3:59pm On Aug 03, 2014
As usual, I see some myopic individuals that still don't get it.

The actions might be based on individuals but the reaction has a far wider reach.

Majority of GEJ's supporters are of SS and SE stock. Prior to GEJ's election, there was a wave of sympathy on an individual from that region being president around the Country. That feeling has long dissapeared.

Supporters of GEJ, with the way a lot of you have acted since its realization of GEJ as president, do you think your opinions will be respected again??

SE supporters might never smell that position with the way they've acted so far and though the SS still have a bargaining chip of being "oil" producers......but it may take a while before they are permitted to take that shot again.

Enjoy it while it lasts because once it ends...........The politicians and supporters that came with GEJ will fade away.

aresa: That one is a troll, been ignoring that loser for a reason..
I seriously hope GEJ supporters have a very good plan up their sleeves because a lot of them don't see beyond 2019 if GEJ makes it that far.

They only see 2019 or whatever, they don't see the big picture so they gladly mock and create enemies for themselves.

They better pray that Nigeria ceases to exist by then because the political scenery won't be favourable for them beyond GEJ's exit.

I don't remember yorubas rubbing people's noses in when OBJ was President or Hausas doing likewise when Yar-adua was in charge.

Their expiry date is certain for sure.
Politics › What Is The Future Of GEJ Supporters Beyond 2019?? by ba7man(op): 1:43pm On Aug 03, 2014
GEJ till 2019!!!!

This is a popular slogan and supporters of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan do not hesistate to announce it to anyone that questions the action of our President.

Yes, this slogan is aimed at strengthening the goal of GEJ's re-election but his supporters might have created more enemies than friends while enjoying their "5 mins of fame" in the political scenery of Nigeria so the implications of their actions is what we seek to discuss beyond "2015 or 2019".

Which brings me to this question, Supposing GEJ is re-elected and he rounds up his term in 2019, "WHAT NEXT FOR THE SUPPORTERS OF GEJ beyond 2015 or 2019"??

They obviously don't like the Northerners and South Westerners much so how will they come to terms when "their SON" is no longer in the corridors of power?? Abacha's praise singers faded into oblivion so its a common trend.

Its a common knowledge that the further you can see into the future, the better you can plan ahead and determine the right path to forge ahead so this thread is open for meaningful discussions of what their possible options are after GEJ's tenure.

The sweet thing about majority of these weird posters on NL is they came with GEJ and they'll leave with him.

They even advertize their final expiry date.......2019, that's if they don't expire by 2015.

I wonder who's nuts they'll hang on to by then, they seem not to have a plan beyond 2019.

This is a continuation of your irrelevant, upside down and ignorant comments.

Low on indices doesn't mean you shouldn't develop, it doesn't mean you shouldn't grow your infrastructural, it doesn't mean you shouldn't invite the private sector to create economic environment needed for you to generate money to improve the same indices you are talking about.

That tax money to improve indices doesn't grow on trees, it comes from tax generating infrastructures like this airports so you are still not making any damn sense..

How was your indices and power situation when Abuja airport was built?

How was your indices when GJE and Oduah splashed billions on worthless airports all over the country?

How was your indices when your enugu airstrip was repainted?

You are just like the rest of your bitter, angry and disgruntled village losers in this thread, you all are from the same cage spewing the same bigoted running and bad bele.

Ibnsultan: Insecurity intensified with the election Gej. WHYhuh Kidnapping intensified with the election of PDP. Why huh Oil bunkering intensified with the election of PDP why?? Terrorism intensified. With the election of Ebele why Bombing(okah) started with the election mr Ebola why.
GEJ might not be directly responsible for the situations listed above but they intensified when the perpetrators realized GEJ couldn't do sh*t but "Condemn" them.
Politics › Re: The Insecurity In Nigeria Intensified With the Emergence Of APC. Why? by ba7man(m):
I believe they got stronger during the period they kept bombing and killing people........and GEJ kept "Condemning", Keeping silent and "ignoring" them.

zendy: As you all are busy calling each other names,Igbos and Yorubas alike, the real enemy is out there killing you all every day. I'm a proud Igbo and Biafran supporter but even I know that there is no reason for Igbos and Yorubas to ever fight. We seem to forget that originally, the people of the south-west,south-east and south-south made up the quassi-country known as 'The protectorate of Southern Nigeria' and we were prosperous and at peace. Everything changed when we were merged with the 'Northern vandals' in 1914. And for those who do not know, the 1914 Amalgamation document has a clause that says that after 100 years of the Nigerian 'experiment',any people who want to opt out can do so. Nigeria stopped being a legal entity as of 12 midnight,31st December 2013. The Yorubas, the Igbos and the people of the south-south now have the legal right to form their own nations so what are we fighting for? I for one do not believe that the Yoruba people ('one Nigeria lovers') have it in them to seek an Oduduwa nation but I know for certain that the Igbos and the people of the south-south would declare the republics of Biafra and the republics of the Niger-Delta respectively this very afternoon if they could. Of course,we expect that the Northerners will not like this and may even try to stop this by force of arms which will lead to civil war. The problem the Yorubas are going to have is if they join with Northerners to fight. This time around,it won't be like Biafra of old. No super power nation gives arms to Islamists these days. The art of warfare has changed and Northern Nigeria simply got no chance against a combined Biafran -Niger Delta force. But if the Yorubas join the North, we will be raising a Biafran Flag over the palace of the Ooni of Ife by the time we are done!!
You started well but your ending was crap.

Any crap tried on our home soil will be termed an invasion and then, you'll realize Igbos are far from their homeland in the South west.

If you had witnessed the way people were being killed in the recent Ife-Modakeke war, you'll realize that that particular location you want to raise your flag is what will spell your doom.

By the way, you're surrounded by Yorubas in that location with no where to run.

Ore was a junction town but it still offered an escape route.

Ahuitzotl: In the era of the Cold war where western countries were wary of stepping on the toes of world powers, that they didn't support meant that biafra never had any military assistance whatsoever...stop obfuscating truth with fat lies...Biafra never had any fighter jets nor bombers how much less the logistics to strafe Lagos...but we cannot talk of Nigeria which had squadrons of fighter jets and bombers retroffitted with napalm who had Egyptian pilots with strict orders to fly low over the canopy of palmtrees to bomb not only military formations but markets, homes and refugee centers.
Squadrons of fighter jets??

If only you knew how Gowon begged Britain to supply him with Jets but they refused. That isn't accurate.

Did Nigeria have Jet fighters then?? Yes but just a handfull.

Biafran troops did bomb Casino Cinema in Yaba Lagos, an upper middle class residential district then.

Imagine what they would have done if they had more.

You see, both sides had their "murderous" desires but it was the better equiped side that went through with theirs.

Why (Always) attack yoruba land when the aggressors were Northerners?? (That's a question that needs answers) I'll soon open a thread on it.

Your troops weren't fighting a Holy war, they were also guilty of anti-war crimes.
Politics › Re: Are Igbos And Yorubas Ready For War? by ba7man(m): 9:43am On Aug 01, 2014
That's always what puzzles me about this whole Biafran issue.

The Northerners sh*t on South easterners and they attack the South west.

Now, the North still keep sh*tting on them and they insult the south west and wish for our downfall.

Never for once will you hear them mention the North.

Talk of misplaced aggression.

Ahuitzotl: Biafra was not recognized by any western country,so how come you 'dropped' in portugal and belgium as our supporters?? We fought Nigerian Army who had Egyptian fighter pilots on American and Russian made jet fighters armed with british made napalm bombs as air cover and interdiction force. We understand you mean peace but don't come dropping lies as you expect us to swallow them....
Because they didn't officially recognize Biafra doesn't mean they didn't get their support.

Biafra carried out air strikes on Lagos civillian locations, Nigerian troops did the same on the battle field and Biafran Airfields.

Ahuitzotl: Fought the Nigerian Army consisting of pilots from oshogbo or artillery technicians from illesha or had foriegn military 'observers' from cotonou??....Not every one here can be fooled with your revisionism which is a natural pastime of the yorobars..
Britain and USSR supplied arms and trainning to Nigerian troops. Belgium supplied arms to both sides, france and Portugal was on Biafran side and supported their war effort. USA supplied no one and provided no assistance.

But on the battle field, Biafrans fought Nigerians.

That silly attempt to invade Yoruba land just happened to be the Igbo's "waterloo" since the South west had taken a neutral stance since the start of the War.

Just remember that we're peaceful in the south west and we welcome everybody that's willing to contribute positively to the region.

Igbos in the S.W know this and that's why they keep coming to live amongst us (which we have no bones about it).

Simple.

Igbos fought the Nigerian Army not British, USSR, UK or Uganda.

But amongst igbos, I personally know the states where a lot of Igbo posters are from because at one point or the other, they've insulted other igbos or claimed superiority over them. Eg.(Anambra indigenes insulting Imo indigenes)etc.
