amdman: So I got my IELTS result today and I have the following:
Listening 8.5 Reading 9.0 Speaking 8.0 Writing 7.0
The writing has brought my score down to 426 instead of the maximum 429. Any need to appeal the result particularly as am not ready to enter the pool (awaiting evaluation)? If you are sure u did better you can try remarking. Some peeps here hv gotten higher scores after remarking. |

Zutlin: Please, for POF, can I use my uncle as the gifter? I'm afraid cic may want to know why an uncle would gift me such a large sum of money. The money is actually coming from my mum but her 6 months bank account statement will not support such a huge sum of money and I don't want to open doors for plenty questions from cic.
House pls advice. Thanks. your uncle can also act a gifter. note that on the site its actually your 6months bank letter they require, so your parents can also gift you the funds. find attached a copy of the gift deed |

I'm thinking of funding it to complete my POF but I'm wondering if this will be okay because I do not work or live in America. Just go on vacations, opened the account during one of my vacations. Please house let me know what you think. Thanks everyone. well you can but just know you ll have to provide a letter from the bank detailing your balance in the previous six months |

TDELTD: The more i read through this thread, the more i get scared and worried that i have not done something right. Here is my predicament.
In my personal history tab, all i have is my Uni and previous jobs (it mentions activities within the last 10 years). I initially did not make any mention or reference to NYSC in my eAPR but i am having second thoughts. Here are my questions
1. Is it ok to refer to my NYSC as just the 3 weeks spent in the orientation camp and claim the rest of the NYSC year as work experience? - Reason i ask this is that my first job is where i did my NYSC and its in that work experience i am claiming my NOC because it is actually what i studied in UNI. The reference letter from the organisation does not refer or mention anything about NYSC.
Should i get them to write another reference letter which will divide the 1st of the 2 years at the organization as NYSC and the other as a staff position?
2. I recently just got approved by 2 professional regulating bodies. Is it necessary to include these under personal history? If yes, under what category in the personal history section?
3. I have scanned through 4 passport cycles, do i need to include all visas from each and every one of my passports or will the last 10 years suffice?
PS: If you are reading this and you have successfully gone through the eAPR phase please, please send me a message,i really really need your help and a little bit of your time. refer to your nysc as employment, you can use unemployed for the first 3weeks does the personal hx ask for regulating bodies, i believe its more of your activity during a time frame depends on wat information pops out in the upload passport section. |

Eghosa123: Hello All, I'm using deed if gift for my pof. Is it okay to show the money in a savings account that I don't have activity on? I have a loan on my salary account and I don't want any interference with the POF so I'm not using my salary account for it. I believe its ok, did the same |

1)Digital Photo - The final frame size of the photo should be at least 35mm x 45mm. The photograph must show a full front view of the head and tops of shoulders. The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31mm and 36mm. The physical dimensions in pixels must be at least 420 x 540. The final size of the image should not be less than 60KB. mamatwiny: Hi , Please I checked my Hubby's noc and the job description DT fits his skill is noc 2264 which is rated a grade b.
Is there any disadvantage applying via trade ? He has a degree as well as Intl certifications for the job.
I was denied Canadian visa ( student permit ) 3 times abt 4 or 5 years ago so am scared of being the primary applicant. My job skill is a grade A
Do grade a applicants get faster it's than grade b? Can we apply seperately while including each other as spouse? Please advise.
How do you guys get letter of reference from the company you work? I don't think my employer will want to give such reference for immigration. They only give letter of introduction to embassy for visit.
Hubby has 7 years experience with different coys with max of years per coy...oil projects. Will he have to get reference letter from all d coys? 3 years work experience within 10years is sufficient. U just have to convince your company to give you the reference letter |

4really: Hello Guru and Great people in this house. I want first appreciate the effort and contribution you guys and putting in to nurture people like me. I also want to say a big Congratulation to those who got ITA yesterday....... wish you guys the best in the next phase. Please,i have some simple questions though confusing to me but i trust your judgement hence i took it to this platform.
Question.................. i've been working in a particular establishment for about 8 years now but has covered two NOC within this period. My first duties and position was done for 5years of which my academic qualification suit the job but i was promoted and assume a new job duties and position 2years ago, but my qualification is completely different form the new and current job though they are both Skilled B job. Can i choose my previous NOC which is related to by qualification in my EE profile? It is mandatory to pick the current job NOC for my profile? Is there possibility of having two NOC in a profile? It is acceptable to have a single employment reference showing history that capture both different NOC?
Thanks for your answers. You can choose the previous NOC just one NOC in the profile yes the employment letter can show both NOCs. |

oohunt: I am in a fix. I am having difficulties getting a reference letter in the NOC I chose. I used to be a contract staff in one of the IOCs and they are not even listening to me.
What should I do now? Should I include my NYSC which was 12 years ago?? you cant use your nysc. It has to be within 10yrs. |
