Regarding the post on the bad side of Canada though I agree with some of the writer's thoughts I also disagree to an extent.
Canadians are actually competitive. Canada is currently ranked 2nd in this year's winter games. Maybe Canadians have a liking for the winter Olympics compared to the Olympics. Doesn't stop the writer from changing this mindset and encouraging more competitiveness in the Olympics.

I noticed he's right abt people not speaking to others in the subway or buses but he can actually change that perception. If he consistently speaks to people in subways, who knows he may just pioneer that act.

Finally Canada actually offers us an opportunity to start afresh in a well organized country. So we shd understand the system and make the best of it. Canada is truely far from perfect but each and every one of us has a role to play to make Canada great.

Hello, vcole. Have been following your posts for a while now. Trying to make up my mind on whether to move or not. Please, can you explain the easiest way for an aspiring immigrant like me to practise medicine in Canada and the costs involved? Haven't seen a detailed explanation of that since I started following. Will appreciate. Thanks
What I'll also advice any doctor coming in is to keep his/her job back home and take the necessary exams. You can now move permanently after getting a job

So cos of confusion yesterday, I found myself in Fort Saskatchewan (the story get as e be) I live at Edmonton

If only my Oga knew that his wife don turn indigene for Canada, he go dey respect me wella, lol.

Fort Saskatchewan is quite small and village looking. Looked like an industrialized area. So those not sure of where to go and like small towns, Fort is for u smiley

When I realized I was a long way from home, fear come dey catch me and I started imagining all sorts, like police pulling me over and arresting me for not having an ID (forgot my wallet at home) I imagined the vehicle breaking down on the highway with no help and me and my pikin will be stranded then Oga will finally catch me that I no Dey house, lol.

I wonder what town I’d find myself “mistakenly” soon.
Na the story we wan hear. Ur battery run down like before. U suppose dey charge ur phone well, this no be naija nah.

Happy sunday e-fam.
I need your responses please. Very unhappy at the moment. Before I got to know about this informative thread on the canadian immigration program, I engaged a law firm (paid heavily for this). After I got my ITA (CRS 452), they demanded for an outrageous sum again. I then terminated the contract. I claimed the 15points CRS for sibling cos my husband's younger sister resides in Canada. Now, looking through what they filled, I found out that they claimed that I have a sibling in Canada and not my husband.
My question is this: should I decline the ITA and make amends, or continue with process and write an LOE.
HELP ME WITH YOUR RESPONSES, IT WILL GO A LONG WAY.
You don't need to decline ur ITA. Go ahead with ur application. While filling your eAPR make the necessary amendments and add the proof of relationship. They would verify the information you put.

Maternal please take a couple of steps down. That I came here for advice does not validate your conclusion that my home is an unhappy one. Note that I am not being defensive here. It take two persons together to steer my family's ship and I choose to have it that way. You can stop now. Thank you.

No mind maternal. I wonder why she carry the matter for head. Who told her that the marriage is unhappy. Abi she don turn psychic.

I ve noticed there are some feminists on this thread. One thing abt these feminists is that they take things to the extreme when it concerns them or the female folk without considering the male folk. The annoying thing though is that despite their claims of being feminist you never see them toast a guy or recommend that a female toasts a guy or better still propose to a guy. Hell! I'll love for a lady to walk up to me and say she likes me.
No way! you don't see them think like that. Like let's make most things a shared responsibility btw the male and female.
Rather they want to literally grow balls like the males and do as they please.

Hello guys. Nice to see the thread progressing good. So since I landed in Canada in October I decided to study to pass the much dreaded medical exam (MCCEE).
I took the exam this January and it wasn't bad at all. Still waiting for the result but I know I'll get a very good score.
Just want to encourage other doctors to take the exams. The Canada Qbank questions used in preparing for the exam is actually harder than the exam itself. So just try and go through the questions twice and aim for a high score.
Presently trying to get a job while I wait for further tests. Getting other health jobs like pharmacy assistant, office assistant isn't looking easy. I'm trying out the Acces employment program in Ontario.
Would appreciate any advice that would get me something to do.

Just because you were one of the lucky ones that got away with not uploading your IELTS and ECA doesn't mean you should mislead others. You could have just written your experience as opposed to discrediting other people's advise ( calling it false).
New comers please always try and refer to the CIC website as they constantly update what documents they need from you. Please attach your IELTS and ECA to your degree certificates, it's what IRCC requires.
There's no point in being refused for something you could have done right.
This journey is draining enough....
I wasn't lucky to get away with it. I uploaded what was asked in the document checklist. I won't regard that as luck but following instructions.

Please upload your IELTS,ECA and Degree Certificates together.

NONE MUST BE MISSING HERE PLEASE as Applications have been refused for this.
People keep saying you must upload Ielts and ECA. Pls that's false. The only certificate required is your University degree certificate that was assessed during your ECA. I didnt upload my Ielts n ECA. However if you feel better uploading all no probs.

I need a little help. I am preparing my reference letter template to send to HR. Can it be addressed to "Canadian Embassy"? I don't want to tell them it's for immigration purposes and they won't do a "To whom it may concern"letter.
You can address the letter to the Canadian embassy.

I really am starting to think no one is working on my application. I have been on IP1 since july 7. They said IP1 is where they do completeness check. I mean how long does is take to determine if someone submitted all the required documents which I did of course. Been on IP1 for a month and haven't gotten any status update since then and this is really bothering me.
Criminality check is also done in IP1. If you submitted multiple PCCs it could be prolonged. Other background checks are also done here. You can order your GCMS notes for a better update

Depends on a number of factors that includes the neighborhood, the city, whether or not you want to share with a roommate
Sharing a 2 or 3 bedrooms can cost you as low as $400.
Renting a studio can cost you as low as $500.
A 1 bedroom apartment may go from $600 to $900

How easy is it to get a studio apartment in Ontario with a monthly rent payment

Nothing is cast in stone with CIC! No gift deed here but hanging at NA, same for some people I know. Besides, they would ask for updated POF or issue a letter of procedural fairness for you to explain your POF if they have any doubt in that regards, not leave you hanging at NA. Speed of processing depends on a lot of factors which no one can unravel actually. Also, rejections can happen after IPI, that's when they check work experience claimed and match it with NOC, rejections can occur for choosing the wrong NOC or for not being able to verifiy work experience amongst other things.
True talk. It appears though that the limiting stage is the review by visa officer. One just has to wait till 6months then make enquiries as to the cause of the dalay.

What are the checks that go on after medicals passed and IP1? Can a rejection still happen after IP1?
Its unlikely to get a rejection after IP1 if you are not a security threat. I have noticed that a lot of applicants have been left hanging at NA after IP1. My theory is that the visa officer wasn't fully convinced regarding proof of funds especially for those who use gift deeds. I don't believe a gift deed issued outside Canada would be adjudged as binding. People should provide adequate explanation for funds gifted to them. I would advice that people still waiting for ppr keep their pof handy in case an update is requested.

Dear house, please I'm back to ask two questions.

Congrats to those who received PPR. Please, specifically can anybody state the BGC for applicants their companies do not have any internet presence ie LinkedIn, Google, Facebook, anything internet but Ref letter was submitted in CIC format and company name reflects in applicants bank statements as pay stubs? Have they contacted anybody in this situations employer? I believe they use corporate affairs commission website to check as well

Secondly, has anyone with Ontario Nomination got Medicals passed lately or got PPR? Is it same 3months or less processing time frame to gt PPR for Ontario nominants too as what we all are seeing? Thank you. Presently PNP is the slowest to be processed. Use this tracker https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-e-apr-tracker-express-entry-permanent-residency-application

Ontario Nomination May 20th
ITA May 25
Aor June 14( yet to see movement in application)
