Israel will do what is necessary abi? You're quoting scriptures too. The same scriptures that gave you stories of their suffering because of their foolishness. Stup!d then, stup!d in the 20th century and now trying to be stup!d in the 21st century. They won't go unchecked. That's nature. You need to get your head out of your a$$ cos I don't know how a set of people who are sapiens like you will be top priority to a God you serve and it will be fine with you. That's lack of mind power at its finest. You make your religion look weak with that BS. Righteousness2: |
Your myopia is astounding. Think about things you know compared to that which you know you dont know and then things you have no clue you dont know. That's ALOT you dont know. That's the reason for the admonition -Judge not! NyenwePHC: |
GoTV:The benefits of cannabis far outweigh its alleged risks. Do well to read about these things. Thankfully, you have internet access. Google and read. Ignorance does no good. |
There is no sin unforgivable. None at all. What kind of God do we think we serve? |
Interesting read. |
Hello, What is the cost of clearing these trucks 2011 Toyota tundra 2014 Toyota tundra Shipping line is Grimaldi |
Will you be selling water-soluble fertilizers? |
Hello, Do you also sell the stand for the rain gun? |
Pavore9:Yes, I am |
bamigee:You don't need to sterilize the soil unless you are going to plant a tomato variety that is not bacteria wilt resistant (bacteria wilt is an untreatable disease preevalent in the south west). Some varieties are wilt resistant (as well as other common diseases) and will do well planted directly in the ground. Sterilization, on the other hand, isn't a bad thing. You eliminate unwanted microbes but at a cost. If it's worth your while, then it ok to do so. |
DuduEkun:I would think that should say something about using these sheets here in Nigeria. It's clear that temperatures do go uncontrollably high. |
RIDICULOUS!! Too many points to fault. I won't even try |
Ok, that's cool. Hope it doesnt get too hot in the nethouse though cos thats the main problem. I am using shade nets over the greenhouses and that has reduced the heat but the plants still get the needed sunlight. The effect of heat etc is more noticeable when you plant semi-determinate seeds |
@jethro2 Is the top of the nethouse covered with net or plastic sheet? |
Pavore9:Yes, I am |
Just a footnote regarding Dizengoff kits: They will NOT give you 5 tonnes or close. (VERIFIED) We should discuss at some point the use of Greenhouses in Nigeria. Which are better for this region? Nethouses or greenhouses?? Unfortunately, some of us have to learn the hard way because there's either no research or access to research information regarding these issues. |

These fertilizer ARE organic. I have bought these fertilizers and used them. They are totally organic. N P and K are in both organic and inorganic fertilizers. In order to have standards, its also important to know the NPK content in organic fertilizers. Hence, the indication on the bags. I suggest, OgeOnanuju, that you also indicate the composition of the organic materials in the fertilizer. I think that is what people want to see. |
I'd like to buy some. What's the source of the breeders? |
Is snail farming really that common that it is difficult to sell reared snails? Snail meat is not very cheap. Is this why it is difficult to sell or because it is not readily available? |
Hello Ronnie, 007power has a point. The open market will make your tomatoes worthless.the good thing is hydroponic tomatoes will be of such high quality that the standard market will gladly pay N500/KG for them all year round. That being said, will your Greenhouse give you that many tomatoes to justify your capital? Kindly pay attention to the factors surrounding Greenhouse tomato production. Every little thing matters. They don't say it enough. Nigeria is ripe for anything right now. Just make sure you produce a lot of tomatoes to make it worth your while. BTW, hydroponics in Greenhouse production is a lot more complicated than normal Greenhouse production (with soil). If you are going with the former, kindly let me know if and when there's great success. |
Thanks guys |
Hello All, I am about to embark on a farming project which will of course entail sourcing for various seeds, tools, chemicals etc. What i found out while checking online is that there's no online marketplace for these things. Also, there is little or no information on companies or brick and mortar stores around the country where farmers can get this information. Nairaland also has little information on these items i believe are essential to attaining high levels of productivity on the field. This brings me to my question which is..... WHERE CAN I GET AGRIC TOOLS, SEEDS AND CHEMICALS SUCH AS PLASTIC MULCH SOIL TEST KIT SEED TRAYS, PEAT, NETS ETC SOIL CONDITIONER PRODUCE CRATES IRRIGATION EQUIPMENT: PUMPS, DRIP KITS, RAIN GUNS FERTILIZER: ORGANIC (SOLUBLE AND NON-SOLUBLE), INORGANIC (SOLUBLE AND NON-SOLUBLE) CHEMICALS: FUNGICIDES, PESTICIDES ETC ? There's definitely more to add. Pls do! The answers, i know, will depend on location so for me, locations are anywhere in Lagos and In and around Sango Ota, Ogun state. if i have to go farther to get these things, i will. Info on MARKETS around the country with a CONCENTRATION of things AGRIC will be nice too. The items that i'm in dire need of are plastic mulch, Organic fertilzer (soluble and nonsoluble) Seeds trays and peat I'm sure this will be beneficial for many people. Your contribution will be appreciated. Thanks |
Hello, Can these goats be reared here in the southwest without problems? |
Hello akanbi2k, I'd like to visit your farm if you don't mind. My farm's closeby in oke odan. |

ogb5:will do |
Hello all, Does anyone know where plastic crates for vegetables or fruits can be acquired in Lagos or the south west? I haven't been able to find any seller in the country. Relevant information will be greatly appreciated. Attached are pictures of the kind of crates I'm looking for.

I'd like to know the distance and time from the main road to the farm land. |
the Amorc teach brotherhood and tolerance. "Know thyself" is a profound statement. It's fundamental to any man's development wholistically whether or not he knows or agrees. The teachings of Jesus christ are also profound but we all know what the church has turned to in nigeria (no need to start from the roman times). My point is, the message is more important than the group. The world is filled with great teachings coloured by the messengers bias. All you have to do is take in the information and ask your SELF if it rings true. Your innerself/holy spirit/higher self knows the answers. See why you should "know thyself"? |
In my opinion, mile 12 should be a farmer's last option because that place requires little or no standards at all. If you don't have high quality produce, maybe it's fine but whoever has high quality produce should think of getting it to consumers who require that value. It's not a walk in the park but it can be done. Like several people on here have said, the second most important part of farming is marketing. If you pay more attention to it, there will be tremendous benefits. A collaboration of forward thinking farmers can come together skip a step or two in the value chain. You realise that the prices at which consumers get these vegetables are much higher than what the farmer sells for. How about we find a way to side step the opportunists (the mile12 sellers especially) and create a somewhat standard and decent market. Bottom line, a new market has to be created. |

As a born again Christian who is meant to speak the truth at all times, i think this is wrong in all ramifications. Ondo has many natural resources that can be harnessed other than growing and selling weed. These are things you won't find up north and other Muslim nations yet Saudi Arabia is one of the richest countries on earth. We are not yet growing weed but our image outside the country has been battered by incessant cases of drug trafficking by our brothers from the east. I hope the Federal government kick against this abominable thought so as to preserve the dignity of we Christians
