Efemena_xy:

What a story!

I'm impressed! But Baba Oyo, you mean this was your first time of you both meeting each other? Or maybe RR already knew (somehow) who you were??

Well, he didn't even know till I opened this thread. It was his top inscribed with the name that got me curious anyway and we started talking.
!!!Q
LOL @ Chillsauce, don't do politics o. Too dangerous and risky for a bush man like me. Maybe Royal Roy was in search of a wife.....LOL

Chairxover, you are right about the service we receive in Nigeria.

The bank was really crowded with people who had made transactions and they weren't confirmed.

To withdraw was totally zero too.

Check back in 2 hours, check back in 20 minutes, that's where I got angry and agitated.
Did you see extreme frustration from people with urgent and serious needs? It was so unbelievable.

I did a u-turn when it was obvious the bank was not making any progress for that day. It was pure torture.

I guess I will also learn to petition the headquarters maybe i get a quick response too before heading back.

Family / Re: I Met A Man!!!! by BabaOyo(m): 3:56am On Oct 19, 2013
^^^^^ You tried with your explanation.

Ile Oba to Jo, ewa lo bu kun!!

Literally, it means when the king's house got burnt, it added more beauty to the the king's house.

Realistically, the meaning is simply.....every dissapointment is a blessing in disguise!!!

Back in the centuries of our fore fathers, there was a king in yorubaland who was very good and nice to his people. He had the best of their interest at heart. He was well loved.
Someday, there was a war which ravaged his kingdom and everything got burnt including the palace.

He fled with his people into the wilderness for protection. He was devastated and he fell sick.

In a while, word went round that the Oba who had served his people dilligently was not feeling too well. And back then a king must not die outside his palace.

The people mustered all they had and decided to build the good king a new palace far away from home.

In record time, they built a new palace bigger and better than the one which got burnt. He got extra rooms, extra large compound and new furnitures donated from all the adjoining villages.

The Oba got so impressed and he got well.
The first statement he made after standing from his sick bed was Ile Oba to jo, ewa lo bu si

That was the origin of that statement.

Does anyone know the name of the king in history? Waiting!!!!

Ileobatojo..............Ewalobusi.

It's a very deep name with a very deeeeeeep meaning.

But what? LOL
Family / Re: I Met A Man!!!! by BabaOyo(m): 9:27pm On Oct 18, 2013
greatgod2012: Sincerely, sincerely, I'm impressed about this news and I believe we will all learn one thing or the other from it and spread the love.
What amazes me more is the religious tolerance RR exhibited, he was helping an Alhaji, and I'm damn sure that he's a xtian, without knowing that he was actually doing the help to a nairalander and not that he knew that the person he was helping is a Nairalander.
Another thing that is also worth observing is that, such kindness is already part of him, if he wasn't that kind before, he wouldn't be kind to Baba oyo the day he did, afterall he didn't know he's baba oyo.

This is a lesson for all of us and I believe that what happened between the duo is for a purpose.

May God bless RR and replenish his pocket and thanks to Baba oyo for sharing.

Baba oyo, e kaabo o.

#im highly impressed

Oluwatobiloba.....thank you so much. He was just being himself. He said I ought to be with my family after all the dissapointment we both faced.

I learnt something big from it.

Never discriminate when you can help. You never know who it is that is watching you.

Royal Roy: Oh ohhh!!

Mehn....I didn't think you noticed my top.

Short of words.
Thanks all. You are appreciated.

***runs off

Dude you did not know it was me.
You were not obligated to help me.
You only saw through my plight.
I know you are shocked, but I believe your good gesture helped a married man to sleep comfortably in his bed yesterday night.
I applaud you, Cos it was q rare thing coming from a stranger.
God bless your hustle. Really appreciate meeting you.
