Mr Obama's parents separated when he was two and later divorced.
His mother subsequently married an Indonesian, and the young Barack lived in Jakarta for some years before returning to the United States.
He saw almost nothing of his birth father, who moved back to Kenya and later died in a car crash. |

Saula Saka started as a bus conductor in Lagos in 1976 and later became a driver. He learnt the rudiments of the trade from Thomas Ashodumeto He joined the NURTW and rose to become supervisor of motor parks, The union’s branch PRO and later, the vice chairman of the union (Alimosho Branch ‘A’). He rose to the position of chairman of the caretaker committee. Romour mills have it that he makes a whooping N400K daily. 5 kids studying abroad. He has 5 SUVs out of which 2 are hummer.
Alh Saula Saka was the chairman of NURTW Lagos State, He was shot dead by unknown assasins on sunday night. May his soul rest in peace. interesting. I know for instance that there is GOOD MONEY in transportation! And naturally a leader in any FIELD will make money. He has done well but we all have different tastes. How viable is it to export plantains from Jamaica to Africa of all places? I would have thought it would have been the other way round.
Try the Nigerian embassy in Kingston. how was your visit? did you stay in tourist areas? I have been planning a visit but cancelled it as I imagine its too dangerous plus HURRICANE. |

terrible how Good Nigerians are in denial but the TRUTH is out there: "My brother, there is no posting in the police in recent times as the EFCC one. It is so lucrative that every policeman wants to be there. If I tell you how rich and wealthy EFCC operatives are, you will not believe. Most of them own posh houses in Abuja and environs, riding expensive cars and intimidating even their seniors in the force. Most of them have bought cars for their girlfriends and wives, and are living flamboyant lifestyles. Some of them even moved out of police quarters to private residences. Most of them plan to resign their appointments whenever they are redeployed. Do you know how much an operative gets in pursuing a case?" the sourced said. -- LEADERSHIP also learned that the officers and men are ready to appear before the police hierarchy any moment from today to answer questions and that they intend to use the opportunity of a possible apology to lobby for retention. |

Politics › Re: Atiku To Retun To Pdp, Eyeing Bot Position by babasin(m): 11:35am On Jan 07, 2008 |
The Action Congress (AC) has said its presidential candidate in the last general elections, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has no intention of going back to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after being allegedly offered the chairmanship seat of the party’s Board of Trustees. The AC also said President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua goofed by saying that his administration would not probe former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s eight years of waste and maladministration. In a statement in Abuja yesterday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, AC described reports that Atiku was planning to re-join the PDP as lacking credibilty, adding that it was a figment of imagination of people behind the rumour. The party said it would not make any difference if Atiku was offered the chairmanship of PDP's Board of Trustees and the post of the party's sole administrator simultaneously. According to the AC, “The people who are now planting the story of Atiku's possible return to the PDP in the newspapers or begging him to forgive them for whatever they have done to him were the same people who shamelessly shooed him out of the party he helped to found in the first instance. “What has happened that has now forced them to realise the worth of the man they maligned so unjustly? Why is it that they can't leave this man alone? In any case, why do they think he will abandon a party of progressive, patriotic and decent men and women like the AC for a nest of killers? “The PDP should leave Atiku alone and concentrate on ways to resolve its intractable problems, which have turned what was once a promising party to a disappearing behemoth." On the refusal of the Yar’Adua administration to probe Obasanjo’s eight years of misrule, the party said the statement was in bad taste, since several former state governors were currently facing trials over their actions while in office. “This administration has simply said through the no-probe statement that it is okay to investigate alleged corruption and abuse of office at the state level, as long as the Federal Government is left untouched, for whatever reason,’’ AC said. |

He only goes to the office from 8am to 4pm and closes all weekend long!!!!!!!!!! this actually pragmatic. most nigerian leaders that worked outside these hours(8-4) were only sharing the LOOT; I know this for a fact. Nigeria should learn to work within allocated time and take time to enjoy their family and relax; one of the reasons people die young and always aggressive. |

Thanks for your time. We intend to visit manchester. Still checking out affordable hotels there and will also like people that have visited manchester or live in manchester to be of help in suggesting one for us. We wish to be there for a week.
By sum total, do u mean now or when we are about applying because we will be submitting the in march/april when he is about going on leave. Presently, we don't have that kind of money as a balance in both accounts because of our building project but hopefully by then we should. If we don't then we will use a sponsor but we r trying our possible best not to. So if we have a balance of 1million or close to by the time of application a sponsor wont be necessary? Can the 1 million be from inflow and outflow of cash from either one of our account. He is submitting his salary account/payslip which is not his major account and i should be submitting my savings account which should be over half a million by then. I hope my account if up to or close to 1 million can cover for both of us?
Thanks a lot once again. I am no guru but the key to get VISA: are you going to come back to Nigeria? if you really building a house, this is good evidence but how do you show this? are you paying for the house-materials through cheque: they need to see out-flow and in-flow in your account. a balance of 500k is good. not many people in UK have a balance of £3000 after paying bills etc |
