Precolonial Africans developed alot of things,the problem was lack of writing knowledge to keep records,with the intervention of whites,the transfer of these knowledge was interrupted,so modern Africans could not build on them but had to follow white knowledge.

This is were Africa failed.
Blacks have not been able to follow white knowledge like the Asians because the majority of black tribes have a culture than can't cooperate with white knowledge.
