@ OP---I understand where you're coming from. The dynamics of Facebook is different for everyone. Some people take it as a Dating site. Some use it for business. Some people are there to catch up with "friends" and all that. While some are there for all the reasons.

Well, the guys asking you for your number (like it's a compulsory thing) are the "Dating site" people. You can't really blame them.

That's why I don't add random people on my FB. I have to know you to a certain level before I can click "accept"---even if we have 100% mutual friends.

I can happily give ALL my FB friends my phone number--So, there you have it.
