I totally disagree with you, some of the so called corporal punishment is nothing but child abuse.
Some, not most right?
A pupil comes late to school, the teacher applies 12 strokes of the cane, how is that humane?
Next time don't come late to class--- (lol), Plus I'm sure the teacher told the pupils previously that if they come late they're gonna get their a$$es whopped. So----
I went to school where teachers victimised pupils for anything from not bribing them or the in the case of the female ones for refusing to sleep with them.
Now those are unacceptable! These are the kinds of situations where the lines showed be drawn.
Teacher beating a pupil over 24 strokes for asking another pupil to return his eraser during an exam. How can that be sane?
The rule says "No talking during the course of the exam". Why are you talking and sharing then? I think 24 strokes is too much though. 3 is ok.
There are other ways of disciplining errant pupils, and may i add that the teachers i actually respect are the ones that hardly flogged yet they have the respect of the students.
Actually students love the ones that flog (not necessarily flogging) out of love (with good intentions) and yet respect the students. Students "step all over" the ones that only respect them.
Discipline is not all about flogging till there are lacerations all over your body.
Ok. Your philosophy.

I bet you didn't read my post very sef. Like I said--too much of CP can be bad. Plus if it's imposed with good intentions, I see nothing wrong with it.

Pain is memorable---Nuff said.

LOL--- Funny stuff!

There's no big deal in letting "your people" know your IQ score; he let us in on some intimate facts like "I had no shoes" already.  I seriously think we have a right a know (not that it's gonna change anything).

BULL4uckingSH1T!

Seriously? Abeg Abeg Abeg --- all that one na balls jo! They're just yanning dust! It'll never work! They want to start giving time-outs? I laugh in my language.

I strongly support Corporal punishment so far the intention is to "correct"/out of love.

There's a point CP gets unnecessarily augmented: that's where the line should be drawn.

An attempt to Completely eliminating CP doesn't make sense.

^^Hi wifey kiss

@topic

Many of these appointments are uncalled for IMO.

We have ministers (sometimes 2 ministers) already advising the president on these arrears and all the these ministers have special advisers too, apart from the permanent secretaries in their ministries. To me, we are only wasting resources and paying people for doing nothing at the expense of our development.
Hello there/dear. kiss

You never jam. I'm sure the special advisers have private advisers.
PoliticsRe: Special Advisers to Jonathan. Only one Igbo Man by BABE3: 6:28pm On Jul 07, 2011
"Special adviser on Boko Haram issues" should have been included.

Mrs.Asma'u Abdulkadri, has a lot of work to do. Gender Issues is a huge deal. She has her work cut out for her.

Wtf is "gender issues"--? if I may ask.

So can these fools get their country now---It's high time they did.

It's obvious they aren't ready to stop their BS anytime soon--- and there is a high chance they are gonna succeed in whatever goal they're trying to achieve--- hence, there is a need for "Sane northern Nigeria" "Northern Nigeria" and "Nigeria"

LOL @ them threatening the "normal" Muslim leaders not to remain neutral or else they'll kill them.
@ poster

i feel that she has lost faith in "marriage" with you
you deflowered her, but didn't marry her and it is now 2 years gone by
Ask her to marry you and see if her behavior changes to being loyal to you
"I read this here your post" some days ago and withheld my tongue so your words could marinate in me
it is my firm belief that she wanted you as husband
she is now seeing her vjj as non-virgin and seeing herself as non-wife material to other men because you had her virginity
the more time passes the more it is becoming transparent to her "in her mind" that she will have problems marrying because of the taught "virgin wife" syndrome around her
"call me crazy" - but it appears that it is dawning on her more and more that her vjj is cash register opportunity - since husband in her young mind is "out of the question" because the deflowering didn't lead down the path that most girls are led to believe that it will lead to, which is the bridal alter
i believe that your answer lies in asking her to be your wife and being serious about it
that's my 2 cents - i could be wrong - but what harm is there in your taking that route?
you sound very angry and upset - which tells me that you love this girl - what do you have to lose by asking for her hand in marriage to her family and to her?
huh huh huh

Interesting spin.

Too much technology/social networking is not good!

Facebook = a medium for unavoidable stalking.

As soon as you join all these social networks you should know that you're extremely vulnerable to "publicity stunts". Your "personal life" is out there, and you should know that ANYBODY--(i repeat) ANYBODY can use those information against you/for you.

Only the brave should join FB.

What should you do? Call Mark Zuckerberg.

The devil possessed her? Na today? mscheww--- Yeye pastor.

She stabbed herself multiple times? Haha? How can one stab oneself multiple times? Her pain threshold can't be that high na. She even had time to pull out some internal organs and cut off body parts in the process. Oga o. She must be terminator's sister then.

He must be on crack to think any sane person will believe this story.
