Business / Re: Please Help!! I Am Planning To Start A Printing Press.. by Babs612000(m): 7:54am On Nov 08, 2016
Israelconcepts:
Hello..I am planning to start a printing press that will specialise in the design and printing of banners, fliers, posters, calendars, business, jotters cards, wedding cards, invoice and customisation of Tshirt, mugs, handbags, etcI have been learning graphic design for a while but I lack basic knowledge aboutthe printing aspect.1.please,can you give me the comprehensive list of machine/equipment I need to start it up.??2.which printing machine(s) will you recommend??3.basic pros n cons in running d business..4. I have a budget of about #750k..can i really start somewhere with such amount.??Please, I want all the experts here to be my mentor..Please,I really need your candid advice..thanks..
Starting a printing press with all what you have quoted above will not be possible with N750k.
1.You have to think about the cost of a shop.
2. cost of a single colour machine with can print A4 size like 201or 211 will cost you about N650k if you are Lucky to get and on the digital
Machine Xerox colour C60/C70 will even cost more than that, talking of 1.5- 2 million.
3. Gen set because of electricity problem in Nigeria Will cost you about 400k.
My advice to you is to start with customise printing like the T shit, mug caps, plate which are all heat transfer printing and may add screens
Printing of about two to four colours Carousel manual printing machine.
When you have job on invitation cards, jotter, wedding card etc you can go out and run impression on M/C.
If you need more information e-mail me.

You've gotten it all wrong.
These so called structures helped curb insecurity and environmental degradation as the shop owners take care of their environment. I've been in the estate for the past 26 years and I can tell you categorically that this exercise will lead to serious insecurity as guys of the underworld now have a free atmosphere to perpetrate their acts.
No responsible government takes away people's source of livelihood in the name of urbanization without providing any alternative. AMBODE got this wrong!!! [/quote ]

It is a shame that you said that government takes away people's source of livelihood, were those shop approved by the government, are they allowed to build an structure in government land, even if they have bought the flat they have no right to build anything there, for building water tank beside your flat is illegal not to talk of converting a room to a shop.please kindly go through the agreement that they signed before moving into the flat.
I have a friend that has been living in Oja bus stop in that estate for over 27years, l was there about five years ago and l saw the conditions of that environment l was shocked with people building illegal structures around the building.
Most Nigerians are Lawness people you can never alternate ANY THING If you buy a government flat in UK not to talk of building a shop.

Ok.

What about bricklayers. In Ikorodu, is it N50 per block and is the mixing of the cement included.

I was recently given a quote of N300K to lay 3,500 blocks, mix cement, and hang the gate.

3,500 blocks * N50 = N175K

That leaves N125K for the remaining work. This is extremely high compares to a fence and gate I just completed in Ibadan.
. You said it already extremely high tell him to work out how he got N300k.l think you should add N30k for digging,N10k for mixing of cement for the gate and N175k for the 3,500 Blocks.

Obanikoro is a BRAVE MAN , we solidly behind you sir. The youth of this country would support you anytime any day.........
. It is a shame and l pity the so call youth that will support a criminal that looted tax payers money.
All the youth should remember that those criminals never send their children to school in Nigeria. How many months has obanikoro been in US?
Most of the youth can not even eat two times a day, no work for them with their first degree,MA,and PHD but obanikoro children will have no problem to establish millions of Naira business with tax payers money.
The so called irresponsible youth that are supporting the criminals have no good road in their area,no light, no water and they forgot that obanikoro and others looter live in Lekki, ikoyi and Abuja where they have 24/7 light with their gen set and security.
The youth need to think how their life will be better and stop supporting tax payers looters.

I think you can only do 3 coursed with 600k.

I am forced to disagree with d 1.8m expense.

From the picture am seeing, let me give a rough estimation, correct me if am wrong tho.

Block ....3500*200=700000k

Labor for block setting since they 9" Hollow ...4000*60 naira per block =24000

Cement used .....100*2200=220000

Wooden truss members...... 150000

Roofing sheets,[lets assume an area of 250sqrm] i.e 250*200=500000

Labor for carpenters=200000

Let me stop here. But not forgeting iron bending works, supervision,....other expense aswell.
From the above, the sum total is over 2milion naira.
Is N60 per block not too much thus N3,500 for bricklayer and 2500 for Labourer per day in Ibadan .
