You are 100% right ![]() |
@Mukina Salam Nice post. May Allah reward you abundantly. |
@pilgrim.1 Do you care to do likewise - open a Bible to see for yourself! Any good English translation will tell you that Jesus is the Light, He is the Way, He is the Life, and He is the Son of God.What should we look for in the bible? Sister, Jesus was the way, light for his community during his time and he told you that he is the light of the world as far as he is in the world meaning that if he leaves, another light takes over. |
@pilgrim.1 I learnt that you are afraid to answer my very straight forward question on if it is true that Jesus died on the cross. To help you get your bearing, I have decided to use another method to let you know that he didnt die on the cross.Lets read on. Matthew 12 v 38: Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. V 39: but he answered and said unto them, ‘an evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign (a miraculous sign), and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah. V 40: for as Jonah was three days and three nights in he whale’s belly, so shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the earth of the earth. Let us ask ourselves, what is so special about the miracle of Jonah and what was the sign or the miracle that Jonah performed that Jesus proposed to emulate? To discover this miracle, we go to the book of Jonah. God commanded Jonah to go to Nineveh and warn them to repent or He would destroy them. Jonah feared that they might not listen to him and rather than going to them, went to Joppa and sets sail to Tarshish. Read the other part of the story in the book of Jonah. Jonah therefore volunteered: Jonah 1 v 12: take me up, and cast me forth into the sea, shall the sea be calm for you, for I know that for my sake, this great tempest is upon you. Now Pilgrim: Was Jonah dead or alive when thrown into the sea? When the fish swallowed him, was he dead or alive? From the belly, he prayed (dead don’t pray). Was he dead in the belly or alive? Was he dead or alive when the fish vomited him on the third day? If your answers to the above are in affirmative, it means that Jesus did not die when he went through the ordeal. Please in what way is Jesus like Jonah? Thanks |
@pilgrim.1 Here is your sister's ()Babyosis) quote: Yes babs, the Holy Spirit has been in existence since creationShe confirmed it that the Holy spirit has been in existence since creation. Now if the holy spirit has been since creation, how come 'another' comforter to come would be that same holy spirit that has been in existence since creation? How many wouold we be having? Jesus made it known that if he did not go, the spirit would not come and that if he leaves, the spirt would come. This shows that the spirit to come has never been in existence and would be a a new creature to come after Jesus. Think and get in touch again. ![]() |
@pilgrim.1 When you learn to address the issues I offered you, then I can attend to your request (if you learn not to "demand" anything from others).I anticipated it. You will always ignore question that seems too hard for you on the pretext that one answer yours first before you will answer another person's. If I may ask you, can you bring me threads where I have been asking you to do same before I would answer you? |
@pilgrim.1 I have learnt that you quickly revert to the idea of someone not giving you intelligent question when you have no answers. If you care to read, read post 4026 of yours and when done, let me know if your bible has abrogation or not. We all know the difference between "an angel" and "the Holy Spirit". The one question that I have been asking you is to find me where 'Allah' ever referred to Muhammad as either of them! All we have read are endless excuses for your denials - and if you do not mind much, can you please save all those excuses?I have been asking you a very straight forward question which is: Has the holy spirit been in existence since creation or not? |
@pilgrim.1 You should read this thread from the beginning before accusing me of dodging your question . The topic is on trinity and my question has been in line with the thread. You have been deceiving people with this hallucination of John that 'in the beginning was the word and the word was withg God, and the word was God. You should be able to defend all you have been saying all these days. Tell me the Greek word for God in that particular verse or you dont have where you can cull it from again? |
@pilgrim.1 Okay, just one kweshun: WHERE did Allah tell you that "The Qur'an has abrogated Bible"??Are there no abrogation in the bible? @David & Pilgrim.1 Read Babyosis' quote: olabowole, since they've answered you well, can you please tell us the geneology of the koranic Jesus and how his conception occured ?Do I need to trade words with you Pilgrim.1 considering upbringinness, your lack of respect etc? Lastly, is angel different from holy spirit because I will serve you verses on annunciation where a spirit told Mary about Jesus and another verse mentioning angel! |
@pilgrim.1 Has the holy spirit been in existence since creation or not? |
@pilgrim.1 Answer my simple question |
@pilgrim.1 Lol. . . you didn't make yourself clear - and my question was direct. If you're not intersted in what I raised and discussed previously, what are the excuses all about? Trying to buy more time?Since you afraid to give me that of the book of Exodus, can you still give me the Greek word for 'God' in John 1 v 1? |
@pilgrim.1 Please present something fresh and stop dancing on one leg. This issue has been discussed and tharshed with several times in several threads with all your denials whitewashed. If there's nothing else you can present because you no longer have materials to plagiarize, then take a break and stop wasting your internet resources. Is this simple question too hard for you to understand? Did he die on the cross, I want to serve you fresh facts from what we have been discussed so far. So did he die on the cross? |
@pilgrim.1 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."You are confusing yourself because the bible translators wrote holy spirit and if it going to be holy spirit, has it been in existence or not? |
@pilgrim.1 Lol. . . in what way have I tried to deny Jesus? Sorry, I don't belong to Muhammad's ummah who denied that God is FATHER.You understood my question. Did Jesus die on the cross? I want to show you something in that your bible with regards to his statement on the same issue? |
@babyosis You may read Surah Imran about his conception and other things you may want to know |
@babyosis Did you see how babs and olabs have been swinging from topic to topic, thread to thread with bruises to show for it.Have they? I didnt run but left you to deceive and satisfy yourself before coming in. Lest I forget, in order not to deflect the thread, two threads will be opened soon in which your attention will be highly needed and not beating about the bush in those threads. You aint see nothing yet. ![]() Till I come your way, enjoy. So back to the topic ![]() |
Moslems should learn brotherly love (for EVERYONE) and tolerance above all. Thanks for that piece of advice ![]() |
@mdsocks We hear you oo,The Surah is An-Naml (chapter 27) It has two 'Bismillah', one is at the head while the other is in verse 30. Maa Salam ![]() |
@pilgrim.1 Are you asking about 2 verses now. . . or one?You understood me perfectly. You may kindly supply me the Greek word for 'God' and 'god' in the two verses. Thanks |
@pilgrim.1 If you still do not want to admit that the verse was not referring to Holy Spirit, has the holy spirit not been in existence or not because according to that verse, we learnt that comforter would come after Jesus meaning that the comforter has never been in existence but would be coming and we read from the bible that the holy spirit has been since creation. So how many would we be having if one is in existence and another would becoming? Thanks |
@mdsocks Salam brother. I am perfectly okay but putting one or two things together .You will definitely hear from me very soon? |
@pilgrim.1 Let me use an illustration:Is that from the bible or Quran? (b) Muhammad spoke of Jesus second coming - FACT.Jesus spoke of his coming as well or will you deny that? (c) even if Jesus has not yet "come", it is FACT that He still exists - FACT.Is that from the bible or Quran? Can you see why your question about the existence and coming of the Holy Spirit really does not bear any weight here?It is very glaring that it can never be for holy spirit If it does, it still does not divert the FACT that:Ok (a) Muhammad is NOT the ComforterHe is and will always be because the verse mentioned another comforter meaning that Jesus is already one and 'another' means one similar to Jesus and in what way os Holy spirit similar to Jesus? ( b) the Holy Spirit is the ComforterThe holy spirit has been in existence since creation and cannot be the 'another' comforter coming. The 'another'comforter would be a fresh being that would be like Jesus and if you still try to smuggle in Holy spirit, how many would we be having since one was in existence when Jesus made that statement? (c) Muhammad was never referred to by anyone as either:Read my above explanation. Did Jesus not say that he didnt come to annul/abrogate?? |
@pilgrim.1 Is this your own dribbling gimmick of tersely admitting your blooper of Moses speaking Greek? Grow up babs787, your posts are sounding ever so childish - and until you have a firm grip on yourself, there's no need wasting scholarship on you.You are trying to deflect the thread and it wont help you at all. 1. Since you are denying the greek word for god in that verse, please was the bible written in greek or not? 2. If there is greek bible, what is the greek word for 'god' in that verse and what is also the greek word for God in john 1 v 1? Thanks |
@pilgrim.1 Babs787, please stop ducking behind your finger. Only one request I made - quote the verse where God said He abrogated any verse of the Bible - then we take it from there. Don't force those terms into the Bible where they do not exist. Here is my question again: Didnt Jesus say that he didnt come to annul any law and what is another word for annulment? |
@pilgrim.1 Insert QuoteIn case you missed my question, here it is again Are you evading my question? Did Jesus really die on the cross? I have something for you when you reply please. Are you trying to deny Jesus? |
@pilgrim.1 So sad. . . Allah never referred to Muhammad as the Comforter nor the Holy Spirit; It is very true that Allah never referred to him as the holy spirit but can you please tell me if the holy spirit has been in existence since creation or not? If you are trying to say holy spirit would be coming after Jesus, how many would we be having since one is already in existence? |
@pilgrim.1 You are denying the abrogation in the bible just because God didnt mention it and please my question again: Didnt Jesus say that he didnt come to annul any law and what is another word for annulment? |
@Pilgrim.1 Don't you see how you demonstrate you truly have no heart for a discussion? Please where did Moses speak Greek? Why not quit playing game with me? Can you please tell me the greek word for God used in John 1 v 1 and when God told Moses that he would make him god. If Moses didnt speak greek, you should still be able to tell me the greek word for god in that verse. Do you have the languages the bible was written before that of English language? |
@pilgrim.1 Are you evading my question? Did Jesus really die on the cross? I have something for you when you reply please. |
@pilgrim.1 The simple questions to address is this:Your response determines that. But let us read your net quote WHO was He referring to as the "Comforter".Good. If Jesus was referring to only one spirit, how come another is coming when we have one existence. Since you claimed that the prophecy is for holy spirit being the comforter, has it been in existence since creation or not? |
@pilgrim.1 You are making me laugh here. You are confused just because Allah mentioned abrogation but Bible didnt do that. Now you tried to explain some biblical verses and I read it that you flopped in your explanation. There is a difference between "fulfilling" a Law and abrogating or substituting it. Even in civil law, the case cannot be confused. In no instance did Jesus ever claim what Muhammad made 'Allah''' claim in the Qur'an - if you have a genuine argument, please post the verse where Jesus clearly said He was abrogating any verse - in just the same clear way that Muhammad put in 'Allah's' mouth as you quoted from your Qur'an.Didnt Jesus say that he didnt come to annul any law and what is another word for annulment? Keep going in circles and when you are through, explain the biblical verses to me where Jesus changed the teaching of Moses. Thank you |
