No doubt the university buildings are good to the sight and the clean environment complements its beauty. Most of the things Nigeria took pride in like economy, education, health, basic amenities, even security are now things of the past. Regrettably, i used to be among the several OAU undergraduates then who did not see beyond our noses and erroneously believed we had the most beautiful university on the continent. No additional cash inform of allowances to that amount (24k monthly) bro; except occasionally bonuses like during Christmas, Salah, Easter and co. For any increment to that, the person will wait until his/her first promotion (and that will be in three or four years' time). I work with Lagos State government, trust me i have the first-hand information when we talk about civil service.
