Hi, I'm not an Upwork expert but I have a few suggestions that might help.

You need to work on grammar and punctuation on your profile. For example you use I an i interchangeably. You should stick to the capital letter. And there are spaces in places where they shouldn't be.

1. Yes. Geegpay works with Upwork as long as the name on your Geegpay Virtual USD account is the same on your Upwork profile.

2. Yes. Geegpay supports ACH transfers.

3. As at today, Geegpay's rate is 691/$ (I think they have the best rates around).

I tried this method using grey.co USD bank details by selecting the bank transfer from to US to US option in Upwork but the transaction failed. I was told the USD Balance in grey.co only supports wire transfers which is very expensive. If you still have Payoneer funds, is it possible to add the USD bank details from grey.co in order to transfer the Payoneer funds to it? Will they support that transaction?

I don't think that will work. Grey.co doesn't support ACH transfers so you'll need to convert your Payoneer funds to GBP before sending to Grey.

I haven't tried Upwork to Grey but someone said it doesn't work anymore.

If you submitted NIN during registration, you should be fine.
They rarely review funds sent from reputable companies/platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, etc.
If possible, you could also try connecting the USD account from geegpay directly to Upwork if you're using your real details, it should work(don't know much about Upwork, I use Fiverr).

I can attest to this. Withdrawal from Upwork to Geegpay works and the funds took about ~2 days to arrive.

Making money is one thing. Keeping and using that money is another thing entirely. Not knowing how to do the latter can be very disastrous.

When registering names, always work with historical data or trends to get ideas, unless you want to keep guessing.

Have you seen a sales report containing "Emergency Electrician" before? or is it a current business trend?

For any business to thrive it has to have the ability to prefer solutions or meet the target's needs, and that is why it is essential to search for end users before registering any name or starting any business at all.

See below a simple google search for that term and what result it brought forth.

Look at the right side of the screenshot and see other suggested search terms, nothing like "EMERGENCY ELECTRICIANS"

I hope you get the point I am trying to make from all this.

4. Saas - Building products and collecting monthly
5. Commission/sales: Selling a temaplte/plugin in a market like placeor Shopify commissions from Apps/Theme
6. Startup - Own a Startup or business
7. Tech Writing: Writing articles to promote tech products
8. Content Creator


I have listed everything, not to sound pessimistic, I don't think everyone might achieve this, because of the attitude, and unseriousness. I've seen a moniker learning how to code for months and just insulting others. The serious ones will ignore the comments and move on.

But this is how you make money online, and also these things are hard, it involves constant reading, and constant comprehension.

airsaylongcome , DrLevi and tensazangetsu20 have all mentioned it, you have to code and practice daily, there is no shortcut. Tech is not as rosy as people paint it, it's brutal, you don't meet up and you're sacked.

Yes!. It is a mandatory fee you must pay to activate an account with Wise. It's just like applying for an Africard with UBA, You must pay card activation fee. And with Wise you can't pay in naira because it is not a naira account/card. The easiest way is to find a legit Wise funds exchanger here on nairaland who will send the required amount to your wise account via the Email you used while opening the account and you pay the equivalent in naira depending on the exchanger rate per dollar....

You can get it at any NIMC registration center. Just make sure you show them a sample of exactly what you want.

Try to get the Improved NIN Slip (it's very small like an ID card but it is paper and has a Barcode on it). That worked for me.
