Politics / Watch the video to see Nigeria's progess! by Babygirl4(f): 10:06am On Jul 02, 2007
http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/127

I came across this video of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala's speech and I believe every Nigerian should watch it and be inspired.
There's hope.
Rome wasn't built in a day.

Romance / Re: How Do You Know When Your Man Is Cheating On You? by Babygirl4(f): 2:17am On Nov 02, 2006
Madea (Dairy of a mad black woman) says "if you think your man is cheating on you girrll, nine times out of ten he probably is!

Women have that intuition only if they don't want to believe it.

If my man cheats on me, he's gone, isn't worth it. I can do bad by myself.

Forum Games / Re: Funniest Thing That Happened To You Today? by Babygirl4(f): 4:49am On Aug 26, 2006
I was pulled over by a cop cos I was goin 70mph in a 50mph zone. I started crying, not intentionally but it worked. The cute white guy gave me a warning; actually my violations were so many, my registration was expired and I was driving in the middle of the road. He said if he was to give me a ticket it will cost almost a $1000 (where I go get dat kind money) and he knows I am just a college student. Needless to say I will try my best to never go over the speed limit. Hillarious!
TV/Movies / Re: Grey's Anatomy: Does Anybody Watch It? by Babygirl4(f): 11:11pm On May 17, 2006
Watched the season finale on Mon 15th May and I screamed when Meredith and McDreamy were making out. Idon't support Meredith leaving the gorgoeus vet for Derek who won't leave his wife for her. Its just going to be like wat happened to her mother and chief.
I pitied Izzie so much when her beau died, is she quitin her job for real? I loved the guy too.
Alex proved useful.
I hope Bourke gets the use of his hand back.

Religion / Re: Is There Anything Like Spiritual Attack? by Babygirl4(f): 5:15pm On May 11, 2006
Is that what it's called - sleep/temporary paralysis? I used to experience it when I was in boarding house in naija about 3 years ago.

Afeni you say its a pleasnt surprise? Never looked at it that way. Its just strange. My only consolation during times like that is I don't fear death. But imagine being buried alive. I guess I worry too much. I'LL TAKE CUE FROM U AND MAYBE JUST RELAX IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN.

Yes, I believe there is spiritual attack. Everything that happens in the physical has been permitted spiritually. It's just like the wind - you don't see it but you know its there. But I also know that power pass power. Jesus power Super Power!

At times people give the devil too much credit. If you know who u are in Christ and that you are the apple of God's eye and that He watches you ceaselessly then FEAR NOT, HE HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD!

Romance / Re: He Wants Me To Keep Our Relationship Private by Babygirl4(f): 5:41pm On Apr 13, 2006
Things have changed. We've been together for a month and now he's showing me off to the whole world.
I took whitelexi's advice, asked him and he said he just didn't want people all up in our business at the beginning, he wanted us to get to know each other more.
I guess my case was an exception, thanks for the pieces of advice y'all.

Romance / Re: Do The Words "i Love You" Still Mean A Thing To You? by Babygirl4(f): 9:50pm On Mar 29, 2006
"I love you" means a whole lot to me. I don't use it anyhow and I don't expect people to say it unnecessarily to me.

I do not believe it when guys say I love you on first meetings (even if it's true) because actions speak louder than words. Show me love over time, let it grow and then when you say it, it'll be a verbal confirmation of what I know.

I'd rather not say "I love you" than say it and not mean it.

Romance / Re: What Does Love Mean To You? by Babygirl4(f): 7:10pm On Mar 24, 2006
Love is of God

Love is not judgemental
Love is lending a hand to a stranger in need
Love is knowing which sacrifices are worth it and making them
Love is not biased, Love is recognizing someone's pain and being there for comfort
Love is opening your heart to those who want to give
Love is not selfish,
Love is putting another's heart above your own
Love is not blind, Love is being able to look in the mirror and know you are someone special Love is not complex, Love is sincere smiles
Love is not distant, Love is a heartfelt hug
Love is the one true gift we have to share with anyone, anywhere, in an unlimited supply.

You cannot say you love God that you don't see, if you don't love your fellow humans that you see.
