@segzy14 could you please help with the number of page you first called chekitaut out. I was amongst most vocal against him and registered my disappointment in several posts since then and I even called @rotech to discuss it and find a way forward.
This was exactly what I meant in my initial post of people being reluctant to get involved so as not to be accused of being accomplices or condoning some act. Even the police would apply some sort of diplomacy and ensure lasting solution is made. I at least made some effort to settle both parties.

There is the court of public opinion. What is the bully here? That somebody defrauded a person and is been arrogant about it here and you expect some of us that has respect for ethics and code of conduct will not allow such person to go free, if he wants to dance naked we will play the blues and reggae for him here.

There are ways that are has more impact than court, so telling us go to court go to court is a defeatist and self centered approach.

Long ago, you cant say because you have repaid what you defrauded from a customer, that means the matter does not exist anymore.
We are talking about character here, not amount of money or how long it took you to repay the amount.
I know that some people always play soft on criminals, for reasons best known to them or just because they want to be seen as nice person.
Others just want the matter to ned so that they can get on with their own selfish interest, not minding whether the crook is just layin in wait for another victim.
And l can tell you for a fact, it is not just that one fraud that this Chekitaut has committed, he is a very bad business person but a lot of people just tend to overlook his antics because once he has their money, they have no option than to just abide by his gimmicks.

The main reason some elders don't want to unnecessarily get involved is such case is always complicated.
Some respectable people have already been accused of condoning and no vendor wants to be termed as accomplices for trying to mediate on the forum.
There is no doubt chekitaut was at fault from the various complaints here and he didn't manage it well.
If there are still people he is still owing, they should come out in the open so that he can be pressured to settle with them. All these casting aspersions on neutral individuals, snide remarks and accusations is derailing the purpose of this thread.
