PoliticsRe: Naira Redesign: Consider Nigerians’ Suffering, Soludo Tells Buhari by backnbeta(f): 11:10am On Feb 17, 2023
Felimax:
Suffering now to enjoy it later!
Leave the policy alone.
Bookmark this page. Save this post. This is a policy that will have a long lasting negative effect on the well-being of the populace. You will remember this when the struggle for cash gets too unbearable even after a new government gets therr. This is a problem they created for an assumed urgent problem, without careful thought. It will take grace and very good brains to sort things out. Their candidate will be installed for sure, but unfortunately he doesn't have the capacity to solve the problem. I hope they'll be humble enough to call on technocrats and listen to them when it gets out of hands because this naira issue is sure heading south
PoliticsRe: Buhari Out To Truncate Democracy - Governor Ganduje by backnbeta(f): 9:20am On Feb 17, 2023
“What is the source of our first suffering? It lies in the fact that we hesitated to speak. It was born in the moment when we accumulated silent things within us.” – Gaton Bachelard
The silence of selfish polithiefcians is more deafening than the noise of the oppressor. Let's all speak up now!
PoliticsRe: New Naira: Buhari Cannot Overrule A Supreme Court Order – Ozekhome by backnbeta(f): 9:19am On Feb 17, 2023
WibusJaga:
.

It is left for lawyers to argue on that, but Mr President has spoken & that's final for now. cheesy

)
You are happy today because you think trampling on democracy will help increase your candidate's chances. But what you fail to think about is the aftermath of his dicta. The fact that you didn't speak up will haunt you because When there is oppression and dictatorship, by not speaking out, we lose our dignity.
BusinessRe: Naira Scarcity: CBN, 15 Banks Working On President’s Directive – Emefiele by backnbeta(f): 10:35pm On Feb 16, 2023
Treassured:
It's a Welcome Development🤣🤣🤣

Buhari and Emefiele are acting In the best Interest and Welfare of Nigerians.

Nigerians are loving It and not Complaining.
Yeah, but not for those of us who sweat it out to earn what we earn. I honestly can't afford to lose 30% of my income because I have plans for my money
BusinessRe: Video Of Nigerians Arriving CBN Office With Sacks Of Old ₦‎500 And ₦‎1,000 Notes by backnbeta(f): 10:28pm On Feb 16, 2023
People (especially abokeys) who stole money will still carry the money to CBN, CBN will take the money from them, credit their accounts, without querying them. So, why the hullabaloo? Just stressing people, making them carry load upandan undecided
PoliticsRe: President Buhari And CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele Arrives Addis Ababa by backnbeta(f): 10:17pm On Feb 16, 2023

BusinessRe: Naira Scarcity: CBN, 15 Banks Working On President’s Directive – Emefiele by backnbeta(f): 10:15pm On Feb 16, 2023
grandstar:
The entire scheme is a complete failure because best practices aren't followed.

First what is N200? In very sane climes, that would be a coin.

Nigeria at this juncture needs a N5,000 note. The Naira is close to becoming a 4 digit currency. When the N1,000 came out, it was worth around $8.00

It is always best to follow best practices. This present Naira redesign should be now be used as a case study on how not to attempt such anywhere in the world.

I doubt even countries that suffer from hyperinflation suffer from a shortage of physical notes
I'm telling you!
PoliticsRe: Falana: Nigerians Were Not Given Much Encouragement By Buhari's Speech..... by backnbeta(f): 8:06pm On Feb 16, 2023
The speech was not to comfort us, it was an order, an affront, and a threat. I pity Southerners post election... the agenda is Atiku and if it works (which is likely), we will unite by force to ask for our naira back
CrimeRe: Lady Gets Beaten Up Inside A Bus After She Said Tinubu Will Win (video) by backnbeta(f): 8:01pm On Feb 16, 2023
So many animals in human form! Why won't I be able to openly declare my support for MY preferred candidate? This is democrazy and I hope it's a skit. I support Sowore and I should be able to say it anywhere. If I like Tinubu and you want to bully me into saying otherwise, there'll be dire consequences...and I don't mean the usual online ranting
FamilyRe: Minding Your Business The Nigerian Way by backnbeta(f): 6:58pm On Feb 16, 2023
It's safer to mind your business- this is Nigeria! Not minding your business can get you a rent Free space in prison, police cell, six feet under. Besides, there's too much stress everywhere, nobody wants to add more to it! The only time I don't mind my business is when a situation is life threatening...I can't stand it, I poke my nose. But beyond that, I try to resist getting involved in people's lives.
PoliticsRe: I Begged Mrs Shettima For ₦‎2 Million - Remi Tinubu by backnbeta(f): 5:54pm On Feb 16, 2023

BusinessRe: Naira Scarcity: CBN, 15 Banks Working On President’s Directive – Emefiele by backnbeta(f): 5:52pm On Feb 16, 2023
How many pieces of this 200 were in circulation prior to your mop up? Why are you not talking about printing more new notes when we can only have access to 200 old notes? I still think your whole plan is flawed! I pray the (s) election holds on Saturday as scheduled, let's move on with our money! If you earn 100k in naija, you'll get 70k if you want cash

I thought Bwala is a lawyer or being Atiku spokespersons has made him mad. Federal government should declare state of emergency in Rivers State because Wike is not supporting Atiku.
He knows what he's saying. The FG is supporting Atiku, that's why Bwala can boldly ask them to remove Wike

Today my igbo friend that sells at Alaba said the treked home. From Alaba International to Volks Barracks. Yet their mentor Obi thought TINUBU is suffering from the cash crunch. I laff
My colleague went for a study in Anambra, she told me she has never suffered this much in her life. Apart from the fact that she trekked most times because of cash, she couldn't get fgd respondents together because of cash, the few that came were extremely late, she couldn't do the interviews. She has argued with me several times before traveling, saying the hardship is bearable. Now she's tired of everything, she wants the old notes back undecided
PoliticsRe: Emefiele To Nigerians: Stop Exaggerating by backnbeta(f): 5:53am On Feb 16, 2023
missionmex:
Oga sir, Rome was not built in a day.
That's the point you are missing! He wants to build the "Rome" of cashless policy in a minute, not even a day! Before removing 100% of the cash in a country, you should at least put a few necessary things in place. You can't just wake up and boom, we go cashless. It took the developed countries a lot of years and preparations to achieve some level of cashlessness, not even total like ours
BusinessRe: CBN Opens Portal For Deposit Of Old Naira Notes by backnbeta(f):
When will you open portal to pay people new notes? Anuofia undecided
PoliticsRe: Emefiele To Nigerians: Stop Exaggerating by backnbeta(f): 9:10pm On Feb 15, 2023
I just hate hearing this cashless policy talk. You have not built a country that can implement a cashless policy. No network,no light, once your phone is stolen you stand a chance of losing all your money due to our low level of technology and police incompetence, bankers will defraud you, you can be on one transfer for minutes while you get debited twice and you start writing epistle to get a reversal...I can go on and on! We can't start civilisation with cashless policy, please!
PoliticsRe: Naira Scarcity: Residents Frustrated, lament As Banks Reject Old Notes In Anambra by backnbeta(f): 6:57pm On Feb 15, 2023
How is this possible? Nobody can complain in the SE, the discomfort associated with naira scarcity is fully welcome and highly bearable in the SE undecided
PoliticsRe: Buhari To Extend Validity Of Old Naira Notes Till April 10 - TheCable by backnbeta(f):
You are stressing nnocent citizens in a bid to punish one man who unfortunately for you, is a master strategist! Now, the only people with access to old notes will be the polithiefcians, the masses have neither old or new. Tell me why the people will not scramble for pieces of old and new notes at the polling stations!

My own concern in all of this is for the wicked dictator to recirculate our old notes or give us new ones!
PoliticsRe: Rinu: Scarcity Of Naira Is Only Going To Help Politicians Buy Votes by backnbeta(f): 2:18pm On Feb 15, 2023
That's the reality on ground. My students are all saying they are ready to vote for anyone that gives out new naira notes. It's time for polithiefcians to dangle scarce naira notes before the people undecided
BusinessRe: Inflation Soars To 21.82% Amid Naira Redesign by backnbeta(f): 2:15pm On Feb 15, 2023
Tinubuwins2023e:
I am surprised some stupid idiots are supporting Emefele. See, by the time this people finish with what is left in this country, that hate you people have for Tinubu would have consumed most of you. You think say na child's play.
Leave them be...they will understand the evil of this policy later, after Bubu and the cabals have achieved their evil agenda. I don't see this affecting Tinubu in any way, so who pays for the pain inflicted on innocent Nigerians?
PoliticsRe: Who Exactly Is The New Naira Policy Targeted At? by backnbeta(f): 1:10pm On Feb 15, 2023
Chidibe212:
...So if you think of any candidate or politicians this policy is seriously affecting then know that person is a rogue.
This policy is affecting me, but I'm not a polithiefcian, I'm not a rogue; I'm an academic, a researcher and a hard worker. What we are experiencing in Nigeria is an economic war. We are being disarmed through money scarcity. I pay for goods in cash when I travel to the states, and other developed countries. I only use cards when I feel like or for certain goods and services. I couldn't pay successfully yesterday for hours because my network provider(MTN) was offline. What you should understand is that the abokeys have an agenda and things are seriously going their way because we are not united in our fight for economic freedom!
PoliticsRe: Currency Redesign: Godwin Emefiele Address The Diplomatic Community by backnbeta(f): 10:58am On Feb 15, 2023
Cashless policy kill your family there! This is so typical- dumber and dumber when Emesiere meets Bubu! Which underdeveloped country can sustain cashless economy? Just put Atiku like you want and release our cash! Nobody will fight you. I use cash to buy most things I buy in US, UK and China, I only use cards if there's discount or if I feel it's more convenient. Why will you force me to go cashless in a country like Nigeria? My husband has been buying almost everything from foodco and ShopRite, depriving those petty traders of his patronage. Even when they accept transfer, they make loss trying to withdraw the money
PoliticsRe: 10 Days To Go: No Cash Yet For Elections - INEC by backnbeta(f): 8:43am On Feb 15, 2023
rottennaija:
Senseless people. You don't know they still have to withdraw the money from financial institutions?
In the words of our "great financial analysts", we don't need cash! They should transfer from one angle to the other like they are making us do undecided
PoliticsRe: Governors Attacking The CBN Are The Major Problems Of Nigeria by backnbeta(f): 7:23am On Feb 15, 2023
When a policy is is being drafted, the people should be considered. A good policy that has a
negative long lasting effect on the general wellbeing of the populace should be jettisoned. I personally don't care about who becomes the president because I have come to realise that it is a selection process, a cycle of corruption that comes up every 4 years. What you guys supporting this infamous economic policy don't realise is that it won't stop with the election! The Abokey elites have weaponized poverty by denying us access to our hard earned money. I'm an academic, I can dust my passport and travel with my children and husband, abandon our investments and come back if and when the dust settles, but how many people can do that? I think denying people access to money is a very harsh thing to do.
