PDP is just as dumb as they come! If APC has 22billion old notes, I'm sure they have their own new notes already exchanged by the CBN! They are both thieving parties but the one that has Emesiere, the cabal and Bubu's support shouldn't whine this much! Tueh! |

Those criminals selling selling the mint note never got the money from CBN, they got it from the bank The CBN created this unnecessary scarcity in the first place; let them deal with it first. Once they return to status quo in terms of naira distribution and customers can walk to any ATM booth, make withdrawals as usual, without the crowd, desperation of customers will be eradicated and boom... nobody to sell the naira to again! The National Chief Aggregating Officer of the Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents in Nigeria, Hussein Olanrewaju, who made this disclosure on Monday, said the impact of the ongoing shortage of new and old naira notes had worsened the plight of their members.
While noting that agents should be given preferential treatment in access to the new notes, he lamented that some Nigerians had taken advantage of the situation to charge unreasonable fees.
He said, “Operators are licensed bodies that provide platforms which agents leverage on. Currently, agents do not have any preferential treatment to deliver this service, hence, m

real777: Nigerians are too weak mentally and not intelligent at all. They allow people cheat them because they too believe they will cheat the next person by inflating the price of their goods or service & at the end of it all, they remain in circles. Why will a normal functioning citizens allow POS agents to cheat him with 10% in the guise of withdrawing your hard earned money? Majority of the POS outlets are owned by the so called greedy and selfish bankers.
The day I finally realized that nigerians love to suffer in the hands of their oppressors is this common response in local parlance "waiting we go do na. We go still buy am even though the price change from #200 to #2000 over night. We no go eat our money na. Hunger and disunity among followers are the weapons politicians uses to hook nigerians in the throat & is working well. Nigerians love food so much that you can call a few among them to disorganized an entire group. ENDSARS is an example. Resilient in Nigerian is not courage but stupidity.
I hate POS & I have never put my life in a position to use them. I still wonder till this moment how I survive in Nigeria without a single stress despite the fact that I don't even have money nor beg. I leave within my means & no faking life. You can say that till you need cash. Today, I tried to transfer 15k to someone without luck, the POS transaction wasn't successful either. I desperately needed the goods, I decided to look for cash. I was asked to pay 1k for 5k. I said no and dropped the goods in anger. Right now, I'm regretting it because I had to go to ShopRite to buy the same quantity of goods at almost double the price I got it in the market earlier! |

It's all better for the country if a near cashless policy is adopted
It saves costs. It is expensive to print cash and expensive to process cash for people who receive large volumes of cash
Cash breeds corruption as well because acts of corruption can easily be settled without trail in cash.
Carrying cash too is dangerous as one could become target for robbers. No armed robbers will go anyone's house if the know there is no cash there. Kidnapping too will stop if kidnappers know there is simply not going to be any cash to give to them.
Instead of just complaining, let's use this opportunity to further develop our electronic payments system, which is already best in the world Some of you just have shallow thought process! I've been trying to login to my bank app since yesterday without luck, it only allowed me to login today! A government that wants to encourage cashless transactions should look into other factors like electricity, networks, cyber security and personnel first. I spend cash abroad, in developed countries, why would an underdeveloped country like Nigeria suddenly mop up cash and force cashless policy on us overnight, in the name of fighting kwarruption? |
