If the coil driver (IC)in the ecu is damaged ,u either locate and change the driver or Change the ecu, to Change the ecu ,just get a scan tool and reprogram the key once that is done the new ecu will be coded in. There is a worrisome practice of upgrading cars to newer models now, my question is what is the point? Is it to make the car better ,look more expensive or what ? I don't really get it, there is no effort to upgrade the performance of the car , tune the power train etc. I think this should be discouraged as I have seen someone who bought the upgraded Lexus 470 as a Prado jeep without even knowing it's a 2005 lexus

Get a key programmer to program the key and you're good to go. Funny think is, I have a key programming machine and I've done this a few times for people. Can't help cos I'm not in Lagos and it's not a business for me. Just something I do out of kindness of heart to people that knows my mechanics
