I like the idea, I hate the quality of job done, cost of execution regardless. From the ceiling down, the job looks rushed and obviously substandard. The same effort and funds put in to get the job to this stage would have given better results if well supervised. As a finishing person, I am particularly irritated at the quality of the ceiling job. It's very sad that this is in lagos, Nigeria's flagship,supposedly. Kpele.

I've always seen these Glo promos as scams. I remember when I was working in Diamond Bank, way back 2006,a junior colleague told me he was going to win one of the Honda Discussion continues being advertized in a promo and that his younger sister was going to win the trip to London. Three weeks later, the guy won the thing o! Next thing we knew, there was pressure on him to sell & "remit" returns and he was given just some few days to do so.I eventually got him a buyer in Abuja. He was shortly transferred to lagos and I didnt follow up to know if his sis eventually won the trip to London but next thing I heared was my guy resigned and moved to yankee.

I was a very naughty boy. My tricks were too many but there's this one I thought I got away with, until many years later. I think it happened in primary 2 or 3. I moved ten bucks from my mum's purse to buy these giant buns that caught my fancy way back then. The buns were sold by a peddler on a bike. Come and see buns!!! The things filled up a giant black nylon bag.They must have been like one million. Like 10,000 people gathered around me for the feast. I was the man!!!Lo & behold, Miss Deborah came...."Who gave you the money for the buns?". I told the teacher it was my dad. "Are you sure?" .Yes ma,I answered. Then came closing time, Miss Deborah gives me a stapled note for my dad. As a sharp boy, Iwent to a corner, read the note and in it she requested my dad to confirm giving me ten bucks, along with some graphic details. Guess what I did....I cancelled my name and jejely wrote,Nnamdi, my younger brothers name in it's place. Well, minutes later, pops came to pick us up from school,I bounced to the car, handed him the note,he read it and laughed the whole distance from school to our house without saying a word to any of us. I was perplexed, wondering why he didnt rake my younger bro. Long and short story is that, several years later, while in A.B.U.,we were moving homes and and while packing, he called me in to show me the note.I nearly died of laughter....the teacher wrote with biro while I cancelled(rather almost smudged my name out in pencil and my name was still clearly visible). Come and see the teacher's fine handwriting as compared to my scribbling. I felt so foolish....I thank God for life.

If you ask me, due to our level of development in Nigeria,it would seem that mechanical engineers are generally preferred in industry. We mostly operate on the rudimentary levels of the engineering profession in Nigeria. If you were to look at things from a global perspective, as someone rightly pointed earlier, making the distinction becomes a herculean task because both professions are intertwined. A chemical engineer can specialize and do PG courses in some aspects of mechanical engineering and vice versa. Ask professors worth their salt from both fields and you will see that they will most probably take the above stated position. Truth be told the relevance of any both courses has to do with the job functions/requirements as circumstances may dictate. By the way, I come from a lineage of chemical engineers, yours truly inclusive.

Guy, your question is very broad. You need to give some form of specifications, not just size. It could cost anything between 3 mil to 15 mil, depending on structure and accessories used. For example, if you want top of the range aquatec pool light(British), they cost 250k each and jus 4 nos will cost 1 mil. Give more details of what you have in mind.

Pls kindly analyze my case. I was refused Visa way back mid 2007, while working with Diamond Bank. Then, there was this system in place where you could pay fees at GtBank, send all relevant docs and reccomendation from HR and wait for result; plus you could re-apply immediately if refused.

I was refused on the grounds that I did not send originals of my docs & that they did not understand why I was going to spend so much, 1/4 of my yearly pay on a 2 weeks holiday, infact the response was like they felt I wanted to bail.

I re-applied immediately sending originals of all my docs, ID card inclusive and an explanation on why I was spending the amount they thought was so much(less than 5000 pounds). Lo and behold I was refused the second time with the same previous reasons given -exactly,no change,as if if they did copy & paste. The situation looked messy to me. Here they were asking me for originals of docs, all of which were sent to them and returned to me, ID card inclusive. Another interesting dimension to the episode was that when my docs were returned,I found among them additional documents and ID card belonging to someone else in my package. I expected the embassy to contact me but they didnt...I wonder what they told the owner of the items.....

I have not applied again since then.Do you think It's ok if I re-apply at this time,assuming I have all relevant requirements covered?

Nice one. I never heard of this material before. You say the material is used on dashboards & arm rests, implying it is very durable. I'll like to know the degree of durability with reference to technical specifications so to speak. I NEED PICTURES TOO BRO. Pls try re-snapping that catalogue of yours. I need pictures, especially of buildings/hotels where the material has been used. You could also direct me to some websites. I see opportunities here in my line of business. Tnx.

Why do you ask? I run a wall finish enterprise. I use them everywhere, several jobs, several states.

Are you impressed? If you are, then you will be amazed at my collection of photos of jobs carried out. I run a wall finish enterprise. To answer your question, this is not painting per se, in the sense that you do not use a roller or brush. It is an italian finish applied with a stainless steel trowel. Nothing like PVC.

When properly done and maintained just by yearly polishing, this finish will outlive you. Presently, there are buildings over 300 years old in Italy with this finish that are still standing. Apart from marble or granite on your walls, I have not come accross a more durable finish. Meanwhile, these pictures do not do this finish justice. It shines like a mirror and you will see your full reflection ,up to shirt buttons when looking through it.

I bought the hatchback,auto, a.c at =N=630k way back 2005. Funnily,all sellers I see are asking for =N=700k and above for this spec these days.
