Science/TechnologyDaughter's iPad Charger Explodes As Father Tries To Unplug It by badoist(op): 9:27am On Aug 28, 2013
A concerned father has told how his daughter's iPad charger exploded in his hand giving him a massive electric shock which he believes 'would have killed her'.

Tim Gillooley, 34, said he was thrown across the room and left with blackened fingers when he reached down to unplug the device at his mother's house in Widnes, Cheshire.

And he believes his eight-year-old daughter Chloe would most likely have been killed had it been her, instead of him, who had touched the device.

According to Mr Gillooley Chloe asked him to unplug the charger on his way back from the bathroom on Saturday last weekend.

He told the Daily Mirror: 'There was a huge bang and it blew me across the room. I was in shock.

'I was hysterically laughing for about two minutes. It was a bad shock that went down my arm. My mum was panicking and Chloe burst into tears.

'Nine times out of 10, Chloe would have gone to get it herself. I think it would have killed her.'

Mr Gillooley, from Warrington, bought the iPad for Chloe's birthday last November from the Apple store in Liverpool.

But some months later it began to develop charging problems and he returned it to the store but was told there was nothing wrong with the charger or the device.

They purchased a new genuine Apple charger complete with lightening cable in the hope it would solve the problem but it continued.

He added: 'We were big fans of Apple but I won't let my daughter near her iPhone if it's a ticking time bomb.'

Apple - who have requested Mr Gillooley send them the remains of the charger for examination - are yet to comment.

Last month a Chinese air stewardess Ma Ailun, 23, was reportedly killed by an electric shock when she answered a call on her iPhone 5 while it was recharging.

Apple said they have launched an investigation into the claims.

Cultists Attack 7 Churches, Shoot Worshippers, Set Priests’ Residence Ablaze In Anambra

Hell was let loose in the early hours yesterday at Oba-Ofemmili community in Awka-North Local Government Area of Anambra State, when some youths, suspected to be cultists attacked Christians in their worship places, shot and inflicted machete wounds on over 50 of them.

The attackers also went on rampage, looting and burning churches in the community. Some of the churches burnt include Assemblies of God Church, Grace of God Church, Deeper Life Bible Church, Winners Church, Christ Holy Church, St. Paul's Catholic Church and another pentecostal church.

The assailants, according to the victims, attacked the worshippers with dangerous weapons, shooting sporadically and wounding several people. They were said to have invaded no fewer than seven churches, burning and destroying everything within their reach.

A two-year old baby was among the victims.

It was gathered that trouble started in the community over disagreement between the Christians and the idol worshippers on the cultural night masquerade, a local fetish cult opposed by Christians in the area.

A victim of the incident, who gave his name as Mr Sunday Aliuba, said they were in the church when the miscreants stormed their church, armed with guns and machetes. He said they swooped on the congregation and inflicted machete wounds on them, causing stampede as people struggled to escape from the church.

Hear him: "How it happened was that Oba-Ofemili and the Christians had an agreement that the night masquerades will not start by 9pm, and we were having our programmes according to the rules. But on Monday night, I was at the crusade when we heard that the pagans will burn down all the churches. Around 11pm, they started shooting sporadically into the air, causing everybody to shiver. Around 1.00am on Tuesday, they stormed the church, and razed down the parish priest's house and pursued everybody in the church. We hid under the staircase and under the pews.

"In self-defence, we pounced on some of them. As it got hotter, my colleagues ran away. I also ran but they pursued me and shot me in the legs, shattering my ankles and bones. They also inflicted machete wounds on me. The blood that came out of my body can fill two buckets. It is only God that is sustaining my life till now.

When contacted, the priest of St. Paul's Anglican Church, whose parish church was razed, Rev. Pat. Odinanwa, said series of efforts made to ensure peace in the community between the church and the community failed. He said the pagans nursed pathological hatred for Christians in the community. According to him, there were agreements reached between the church and the community, but the pagans sought all avenues to stop Christians from worshipping God in the community.

According to him, over 50 persons sustained gunshot and machete wounds, while seven churches were burnt by the irate youths. He said Christians in the area had been living in fear, as the youths threatened further attack today.

Politics3 Killed, 5 Burnt In Ibadan Tanker Fire by badoist(op): 9:50pm On Aug 27, 2013
Tragedy struck on Tuesday at Orogun Junction along Iwo Road/Ojoo Expressway in Ibadan as no fewer than three persons died while five others sustained serious burns when a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation tanker trying to offload fuel from another exploded and caught fire.

Properties worth several millions of naira were lost to the inferno.

The raging inferno also touched eight shops, while two Sport Utility Vehicles were not spared as they were burnt to ashes.

The incident occurred beside Energy filling station at Orogun Junction via Iwo Road/Ojoo Expressway between 11am and 1pm on Tuesday.

Thick smoke covered the atmosphere as most shops and car owners packed in some perimeters close to the scene.

Frantic efforts to retrieve some valuables failed due to the intensity of the fire.

An eyewitness, Dr. Ayo Osisanwo, said the unfortunate incident occurred when a NNPC truck was offloading fuel from a fuel -laden truck belonging to the corporation and had fallen off the road.

Two identical twins with same DNA can steal from each other, child can steal from father, Jonathan can steal from Nigeria despite the fact that the wealth is also his being a Nigerian.

If the husband packs her jewelries or empties her account to go do anything he wishes is that also Okay?

Also, can you please type in full English. People like me struggle to read your post
