This sums up the saying that "man is his own greatest enemy". If you look at the list, every excuse is from within. Once we overcome the enemy of the self 'ota inu', every other obstacle is just a phase that we can conquer. No excuses, just go get it if you want it. Thanks op |
Tonia500:Sorry about your aunt and your marital situation. I wish you peace. However note the two factors that my generalisation was based on: 1. political (if you are aware of the political situation of your country in 2005, you should know this) 2. economic. I don't mean Togolese are bad, neither am I saying that Nigerians are saints. |
xmich:Please help me explain to those quoting me. I don't see why you would remain in another country when you have nothing working for you over there. That's how they will be constituting nuisance and start giving Nigeria a bad name instead of returning home to face their real lifes and see how they can make things work. |
I think those saying Nigerians are this Nigerians are that should read the first post on this thread, unless you want to tell me you are more interested in our reactions than the main issue. |
OohLalah:It's the truth, however that does not translate to being unruly in their country. And FYI, my point wasn't based on hearsay. Have a good day too. |
EgunMogaji:It will be more ridiculous if I have to explain my points to you. Have a good day |
EgunMogaji:Where did I dispute that in my post? |
Togolese are generally aggressive towards Nigerians because they believe that we have a huge influence on their political system on one hand, and the general envy of the big brother stand of Nigeria to other African countries on the other hand. My advice to those outside the country is always that if things are no longer working for you, please come back home. Ajo ko da bi ile. This victim cannot be doing well and they would treat him like this for stealing, instead he would be arrested and charged to court if he was doing well. |
What Naturally Anonymous is all about The Naturally Anonymous blog was started to share my moments, experiences, ideas, and inspirations with you. You are also welcome to share yours. As the popular saying goes, there is love in sharing. By sharing, we learn from each other's experiences and become more knowledgeable in the process. I chose Naturally Anonymous as the name for this blog to reflect the objectivity of the articles that you will be reading here from time to time. The name also shows the overall aim of this blog, which is to gradually take you and I back to our roots, where we were everybody's friends and looked out for each other. I have seen firsthand how the quest for fame, recognition, wealth, and other gains can make people turn into a shadow of themselves and I always wonder if these are the same people I used to know. I hope to awaken our consciousness to the fact that we need to give and receive love in order to truly attain any height of success or fame, and most importantly, happiness. We have lost our identity due to one situation or the other. Identity here does not refer to your name or physical appearance. I am talking about the morals and values that make us humans, and as a result of this, humanity is reducing day by day. As a matter of fact, we all encounter situations that are capable of shaking the foundations of the truth and value that we stand for, however, we should be human enough to respond and not react. We should be natural. All the articles on this blog will be focused on keeping us on the right tracks of our true selves and also help us to manifest the humanity in us no matter how adverse the situation may be. I hope to help you remain anonymous and naturally responsive to situations in the ever surprising and changing world. I will be publishing all articles in the first person tense. However, you might come across some articles that are published in the third person language. They are either submitted by my readers who may or may not be named (based on their preference), or they are articles that I published in the language that passes across my message in the most effective way. What would you like to do next? If you are interested in writing on this blog based on its objectives, please contact me. http://www.naturallyanonymous.com/2016/06/what-naturally-anonymous-is-all-about.html |
kriss63:Hello, sorry about your shoulder. Refer to the fix in Rounded shoulder above. However, we also highly recommend that you see a professional for your case. There will definitely be an explanation and a lasting solution to it. We wish you all the best Chris ![]() |
iamDiabolic:First of all don't confuse religion with spirituality Secondly try other religions e.g Islam At worst, you may try deism, but don't ever doubt the existence of God Lastly, s'il vous plait, allez et mourir, ça ne nous touche pas! |

When you are alone you may start to feel loneliness cover you up slowly. It is very likely that you would not like the feeling. At that point, you may begin to have an unpleasant experience of yourself. But a lot of energy can be gathered from your private time. That energy within you, symbolized by the silent voice that lies in your spirit deep within your soul. This post will tell you how gather this energy and put it to the best use. Before going further into this, you must know that, you either choose the gloomy veil of loneliness or the bright energy of your inner force. Energy that is still does nothing really. It is just there, untapped. Once you choose to go after the bright energy of your inner force, you must learn how to gather it and put it to best use. It is easy and you can start right away. Follow these steps. Take a deep breath and relax. Picture yourself, but not as the physical you, instead as the silent voice inside you. That is your inner force. Now, you would gather that inner force as an energy form. Gather it up in one spot like you would gather up pieces of objects together on your work table. You should feel your inner force collected together as a whole now. That is it. You have successfully gathered up the energy of your inner force. When you gather up this energy, you are better connected with your true self. There is usually a lot you can do when you get connected with that true self. Here are some ways to make the best use of that energy: Meditate The laws of nature has limited your physical self to space, but not your inner force. This is one powerful thing you would learn about yourself. Your inner force, in that energy form, can walk through walls and travel great distances that would have been rather impossible for your physical self. When you meditate, you let that energy lose and free to move through the Universe and listen to what it has to say. Indeed, the Universe holds all the wisdom and knowledge that exist in its purest form. You can bask in it and have a fill. Love Love is the healthiest feeling you can feed your inner force. When you feed your inner force love, it grows to its purest and strongest. By design, the Universe itself is driven by love, in the form of that harmonious co-existence that keeps it as a whole - as different parts that perfectly fit together. When the energy of your inner force is enriched with waves of love, you can connect better with every element of the Universe and interact more meaningfully with each one. Create Your creative core lies at the center of your inner force. Now is the best time to wax your creativity and see the great things you can make. More than ever before, you are connected to your inner force, the very spot where your creativity lies. Now is the time to get it working. Try to create something that is very meaningful, something that you and other people may find valuable. When you spend your private time this way, you would always look forward to private time and always have something meaningful to show for it. http://www.naturallyanonymous.com/2016/06/three-ways-to-make-good-use-of-your-private-time.html |
Someone out there is waiting to love you, to embrace you, to walk along the lawn with you and to show you around the city and to support you. You need to create the space to let that one person (at least) in. Refuse to tear people down, don't scare them with your pungent character. People can smell inauthenticity from oceans away. In other to let them in, brush off what it is about you that formally scared them and made them strut away from you like they were being chased by a tiger and redefine your person. You can sweeten yourself from now on. Every sunrise comes with an opportunity to resurrect that hidden "sweet you" or to amplify your sweetness. Also, sunset also brings a 'chilling and calm' that transcends a pat on the back. It is never too late to open up yourself like a bowl or calabash waiting to be filled with substance. Some people are like the sun, when they come around the days seems brighter. While some are like the cloud, when they come around, the day seems darker. Be the sun so that you can always brighten the day for all and sundry. Moment submitted by Thank-God Eboh. Join him on Facebook for more insights. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), or Corporate Social Performance (CSF), or Corporate Citizenship (CC) are all synonyms. Maybe it sounds like a culture of the blue chips, but really, the size of your startup should not hinder your participation in CSR. It is all about giving back to the society, getting involved with the community within which you operate. And in a world where image is everything, CSR provides you with the opportunity to build a solid one. If boosting the strength of your brand is a goal, you definitely will want to invest in CSR. Experts have argued that while a clear cut relationship between profitability and CSR may be difficult to establish, it has not been found to be of any detriment to your business. In fact in a study by Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) published in 2008 under the title; ‘Corporate Citizenship: Profiting from a Sustainable Business,’ it was reported that Corporate Citizenship is important for the long term health of companies. If you intend to be in business for the long haul, you had better started giving back to the society. The impact of CSR is determined largely by what is accomplished and how it is accomplished. So, what system really works? Plan from the start Decide to participate in CSR from the start of the year. Your plans should include, albeit in sketchy details, what you want to achieve and how you intend to achieve it. You can refine this as the year unveils. Planning also means you will need to include CSR in your budget. And you should know that every penny spent on this is well spent. In fact, if you are in need of some image laundering, your best bet is CSR. It is how you connect with the community within which you operate. Keep it simple You do not have to go bankrupt to roll out a rewarding CSR. In fact, it is the simple and consistent things that count. If you want your brand to always pop up in everyday conversation, you will need to plan your CSR, such that, though simple, it is consistent. This might mean a day of tree planting, where your employees go around the neighborhood investing in the environment. Or you could simply organize some intellectual competition and reward the promising brains and minds in your neighborhood. It can even be a weekend of road walk, where folks can walk off the stress of the week and get rejuvenated for the coming week. It is not how expensive, but rather how creative. Hype it Why light a candle if it is going under a cover? You need to publicize this CSR. Call in some favor from a journalist friend. Invite the local newspapers and TVs. Tweet about it. The truth is if you do not blow your trumpet, nobody will. Your publicity should cover the pre-event, event and post-event. Remember image is everything, and this is how you build a solid brand. How do you give back to your immediate environment as a business? Share your methods with us on Twitter by adding Excellaid to your tweet. http://www.excellaid.com.ng/blogs/post/how-your-startup-can-benefit-from-csr/ |

I have a blog for sale. It has over 30 articles, custom domain (.com.ng), and over 9k pageviews. All articles are original and appropriate references made where necessary. Let me know if you are interested. I am selling it because I am starting a new blog that's not related to the one I am selling and I won't be able to use the domain name for my new blog. Also, I don't have the time to manage multiple blogs, so one has to go to a worthy new owner. No, it's not the one in my signature ![]() |

uc4uandc:Shut up. It is because of people like you that Nigeria remains corrupt. Hardly satisfied youth. You can never get a perfect job because human beings are insatiable. Learn to make do with what you have and let those that have nothing at all enjoy the program. Stop spreading your corrupt thinking around. No hard feelings, just saying my mind for your benefit and that of the follow follows who don't know how to think for themselves.✌ |
The harshest reality of being different has been felt through gender, race, religion, education, income, politics, and a long list of other life differentiators. Yet, diversity is, in certain schools of thought, an expression of nature's bounty and wealth. Many people wake up everyday nagging and cursing themselves for being different. Truly, when being different becomes a thing that subjects one to danger and harshness, it can start to feel like a curse. But would you rather neglect your unique and natural self to be who you are not? Best advice you would ever get is this: Be yourself! Several scientific studies have proven that people who chose to be who they really are have been happier in the end. Many of those who have chosen their heart have not found it an easy and smooth path either. 'Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance,' German-born and most popular spiritual author in the United States Eckhart Tolle says. Eckhart Tolle's life could be a good case. Eckhart has said for much of his life he was depressed, until he went through an 'inner transformation' at age 29. After this, he spent several years wandering and unemployed 'in a state of deep bliss' before becoming a spiritual teacher. His family thought of him as 'irresponsible, even insane'. For someone who went through so much to become who he really wanted to be, becoming the most popular in what he does seems to be enough compensation. Think about Eckhart's life. If, during the difficult times, he had given up on pursuing who he really was, would he have made it to becoming the most popular spiritual author in the US? Nothing can change the fact as it is. To become who you really are, you are going to be different in your own way and you may have to pay the price for it. That may mean a lot of pain, losses, betrayals and disappointments. Everyone may have a different story, but there is always a central rule to the way life unfolds and that is something we really need to respect. It is a good thing that being different is a blessing and a curse that is originally yours at least. The sooner you begin to see it this way, the earlier you start to appreciate being who you really are and become committed to enduring all the difficulties you may find on that path. Would you find self-fulfilment from a blessing and a curse that is not yours? 'Remember this: it is better for people to value you for who you are, not for who you pretend to be. Who you are lasts a lifetime. Who you pretend to be changes like the change of seasons. Don't be afraid to be yourself, even if it means removing yourself from lives that you want to be in. You are, no doubt, worthy of being valued for who you are. So be who you are,' Lebanese Canadian educator and poet Najwa Zebian advises. http://www.naturallyanonymous.com/2016/06/being-different-blessing-and-curse-that-is-originally-yours.html |

Many business relationships start online through social media these days, but the best of the media cannot be enjoyed without a synergy with the good old fashion networking scheme; turning up. Clara has had thirteen years of a successful banking career. Here is what she has to say about turning up: ‘My 13 years of banking has been in the sales department. I guess if you are doing a good job of selling, no one would be willing to move you to other departments. On my first day as a green intern, the head of marketing, a lady who has always met and exceeded every target set, asked us how we spent our weekends? I replied that I spent mine doing laundry and general cleaning, and then spent time with family. She smiled and remarked that if I want a successful career in banking, and most important, selling, I would need to change my routine and start turning up.’ Turning up, means making appearances at events. Now, this is a timeless advise that works if you are looking forward to building relationships with investors, mentors, career peers etc. But you need to be strategic about this; you do not want to be turning up aimlessly at every event; essential and nonessential. Before the event This journey does not start with events. In fact, it starts with the influencers, the potential investors and the mentors. Your research is to find out who these people are for your business. This is where social media comes handy. Follow these influencers on Twitter, examine their cause, and mind their likes and shares. This might sound like stalking and that is exactly how the game works. You should also comment on their posts where necessary, without being overbearing. The next thing is to find out which events they will be making appearances. So go kit yourself up for the show. During the event Enjoy the event, have fun, but never forget why you are there. Work out the opportunity to meet with your potential mentor, investor or influencer. Remember you have already made an appearance through social media, now is the time to reinforce this attempt. Walk up to them, introduce yourself, be interested in them, ask questions and listen keenly. By now you should be familiar with issues that make them tick, after all, you have followed them passionately on social media. You should let this knowledge inform your questions. Whatever you do, do not be overbearing. Do not detain them. If they want the conversation short and fast, so be it. But not before you have subtly made a pitch and exchanged contacts. You should also suggest an appointment at their convenience to discuss the fine points of your pitch. After the event This is when you follow up and prepare for any appointment you might have secured. It is better to delay sending LinkedIn invitations till after events. This timing sends the message that you are interested in the relationship. You should also send personalized business updates to these contacts. Remember their birthdays and anniversaries and in no time, you will be building an empire of your business. Because relationship is everything. http://www.excellaid.com.ng/blogs/post/how-to-build-relevant-relationships-for-your-business-by-attending-events/ |

The world is a noisy and interruptive place that you sometimes try hard to wall yourself away from. Yes, out of reflex many times. Indeed, there is need to wall off as much as you can. In those private corners of your existence may be where you find all the pieces that make up who you really are. Privacy is an instrument of finding the self. It is seen as something we require in our development of a sense of self-identity. Irwin Altman tried to describe how this happens. Altman believes that the barriers imposed by privacy on the self 'define and limit the boundaries of the self' and thus 'serve to help [define the self].' Through knowing ourself more, we can know how to help ourself grow. Self-growth is a part of the process of developing self-identity. This was suggested by Hyman Gross when he explained that, without privacy - solitude, anonymity and temporary releases from social roles - individuals would be unable to freely express themselves and to engage in self-discovery and self-criticism. We need to constantly run self-discovery and self-criticism to help understand and sharpen our sense of self-identity. You can easily lose yourself out in the noisy and interruptive world, becoming what the noise and distractions around you influence you to be. The only way to find your true self will be in your privacy. But it is hard to wall yourself away from a world that is so loud and invasive. Apart from government policy to protect your privacy in your society and business policy to ensure your privacy in your workplace, you will need to always make effort to establish your privacy. Everyone has a right to keep away themselves or information about themselves. It is a natural human right. 19th-century American writers Samuel D. Warren and Louis Brandeis described this as the 'right to be let alone'. It is no crime. Let some of the people around you call it self-isolation or secrecy. It is your choice to give in to the noisy and intrusive world and lose yourself, or refuse to lower the walls of your privacy and find yourself. You can start from your physical environment and then your relationships. Choose where you spend time and with who, choose what information you share and how you share it. These days, with the technology of the internet, you tend to have the walls of your privacy almost removed. You are connected to places and people beyond your physical reach, and that is a lot more to deal with. You can still control your privacy anyway. Look for the privacy policy that comes with the technologies you wish to use before you start using them. On social networks, like Facebook and Twitter, you have the option of customising how you want your privacy to be handled. Who can be a better companion for you on your journey of self-discovery and self-criticism than yourself? None. You will come to agree, if not yet. http://www.naturallyanonymous.com/2016/05/privacy-as-instrument-of-finding-self. |
