limeta:Sorry but let me ask you, are you okay at all? How is it fraudulent? Do you know how far Lagos to Bayelsa and Delta is? They dont even share boundaries so there is no way you will allocate Oil wells of Bayelsa or Delta to Lagos. The Delta Basin is far far from the Lagos Basin. You talking of Oil Mining License what does that have to do with this issue. I know you meant to say the Oil Basin Yinka Folawuyo is producing in lagos is a Delta basin and as such belongs to Bayelsa and Delta. They can share the same continental shelf but its within the Lagos Environs so whats you point.United Kingdom continental shelf ( UKCS) is shared between Scotland ad Norway with majority of the Oil In Place falling into the Norway area so i dont get your point. |
I feel the pain of the core Niger Deltans not Ondo,Imo and Abia. But their manner of approach is too destructive. Even though i believe they should look inwards first towards their immediate leaders. They should demand more allocation for capital projects through the Ministry of Niger Delta and NDDC. The FG needs to pay special attention on the way the Ministry and the commision is been run. I suggest they increase the derivative to 40% and beam the eyes of the anti-graft agency on these establishments. The leaders in this region are way to corrupt and the times of settling militants must end. After doing these things and the militants refuse to find a better living,i suggest the locals support the FG to crush them. Even if the FG will restructure the country for full resource control, other regions still need the oil money to fund the mining of mineral resources and Agriculture because Cocoa and groundnut money was what the FG contributed as part of their own partnership fund to build Oil installations, so a timeline has to be set for the full commencement of Resource control. |
This campaign is very much very serious. South Africa will experience massive influx of other Africans into their country, they need to borrow some ideas from UK, Germany and France on how to handle this. |
Big fat lie, yes i believe Amaechi looted some Rivers state money but not to this extent. We all know the major financing of the APC 2015 election was estimated to be around 400 billion naira while the PDP was estimated at 2 trillion. The bulk of the 400 billion came majorly from two states( Lagos and Rivers) so where did this 3 trillion come from. Rivers didnt even collect that much as allocation since APC was formed in 2014 so its a big lie. |
I am not a tribalist but lets ask our igbo friends this simple question. If the coup plotters said they struck because of corruption and flamboyant lifestyle from politiicans, why was it that not one single igbo Military officer or Politician was also killed or was it only the leaders from Western and Northern region that was corrupt? Why did Zik choose that very period for a vacation in the carribeen( as if that wasnt a flamboyant lifestyle). Even after the coup failed and Gen. Ironsi took over,it was a norm in the military to execute the coup plotters instead they took them to Enugu prison which am sure they were not even in Prison. The awolowo they said they wanted to free was in Calabar prisons they didnt even get anywhere close to calabar to free him . After all these evidence you want me to believe it was not an igbo coup because of 2 Yoruba officers among them. |
justy15:Stop deceiving yourself in as much as i feel the APC SW spokes person made a stupid statement. North Central as a region doesnt belong to one tribe where as SW belongs to one tribe. She didnt offend Gwari people of Abuja so which ban are you giving her. Is dino a Gwari man. |
The truth is that they dont just appoint regional heads based on the tribesmen from a particular region. I have attended a RCCG church and the pastor was Edo,Ben Akabueze the new director of budget is a deputy regional pastor. Before these church grew to that level many people from other tribes did not join the pastorate. I maybe wrong dont know. Yorubas are lessser tribalist than other tribes so something must be behind your observation. |
frozenSun:He sings, he raps, he is an actor, he does paint art,he dances very well, he plays basket ball like a pro, he has a good sense of fashion style. I also admire how he got back on his feet unlike the likes of Britney spears. He is arguably the most hated celeb, that nigga dont care anymore he just does what makes him happy and to me he is most talented celebrity i have seen since i ve been following American Movie and Music industry. Nick cannon seconded by The Game wrote on twitter " Chris Brown = Micheal Jackson + Tu pac to tell i know what am saying. |
frozenSun:Baba i second your position, that guy is the most talented celebrity in the world. If not for his stupidity on the night of the grammys with Rihanna, he would have been the most celebrated and richest celebrity after Micheal Jackson. |
sammhi:This one sits in far away Enugu state and he is saying GEJ completed about 60% of the job. Abeg go and sleep if you dont use the road regularly, those who use the road know GEJ completed just the one before the Sagamu- Abeokuta bypass which is about 15% part of the entire road. |
hotwax:I keep hearing igbos developed lagos from their them, as if the Governor or the commisioners and all the LGA chairmen are Igbos. You make money in lagos we tax you and use it to develop the state. |
V0lv0:I see |
I think it shd be Ghanaian Nigerian not the otherway cause na her papa be Ghanaian (Joaness Frimpong) and her mama a Nigerian. |
1.Eastern region is different from South East. 2. Bayelsa and Rivers is not igboland though Rivers might have a certain % of igbo population while Bayelsa is 100% Ijawland. 3. The number of Yorubas in Abia, Enugu and Anambra states are very small compared tothe number of igbos in Yorubaland. 4. Even if we allow you analogy to go on, the number of igbos in SW is still more than Yorubas in the entire Eastern region. Remeber Edo and Delta were part of the western region before it became Mid-Western region. |
andysnoopy:Ok you win.my point is just that its easier for me as an ijebu to liase with my fellow ijebus in Ikorodu and Epe in Lagos because of my Yourba Heritage than an igbo with heritage all the way from Imo but have been in Lagos from time immemorial to lay claim to Lagos. No matter how British a Danny Welbeck is he will still be referred back to Africa or the Carribean and a Bale who is Welsh, his grandparents are English and he is white. Who do you think has a better chance at becoming a Prime minister with a racist white majority voting block.Though am not part of those who claim Lagos. Goodday. |
andysnoopy:If you read my previous quote to you i never claimed lagos. I only said its an ancestral home to Yorubas like the Aworis, Ijebus and Eguns. |
andysnoopy:See i dont want to argue with you please you know the truth but choose to distort it. All the way from Alaigbo down to Lagos in an era when there was no car how did he do it? Did he walk all the way passed through Yoruba villages and settled in Lagos that was nothing in the 1800's. When the british was still fighting Jaja of Opobo in far away alaigbo. Your grandfather might have been priviledged to migrate to Lagos after the almagamation in the era of Great Zik and owned a house in Somolu but he cannot lay claim to a land occupied by a set of people way before the white man arrived. Early record of events only mentioned the portugese merchants trading with Aworis, Egun, Ijebus and Ijaws never mentioned igbos. You are a terrible liar. |
mightyokwy:My friend stop been sarcastic, i meant the seat of british administration in Nigeria. I will keep quoting you to educate you. |
mightyokwy:My friend stop been sarcastic, i mean the seat of british administration in Nigeria. I will keep quoting you to educate you. |
andysnoopy:Hahaha for your mind. Igbos started migrating to lagos in bits after the almagamation and in mass after independence. Do i look like a fool to you do you think am talking abt 1970 am talking of the slave trade era( late 1800's) when there were no cars. Besides i dont claim lagos. |
mightyokwy:Before 1960 are you serious at all. Let me answer it anyway it was the seat of british administration from 1800's to 1960 Let me lay it simple for you. Lagos state of today= The colony of Lagos + part of the western region. |
Ugosample:You want me to answer your question i will answer it. I am ijebu from the Ogun state part not the Ikorodu or the Epe part. If i tell you my history you will tell me to claim lagos. My great-grandfather was the one who migrated to Lagos through the Epe axis. He was a fisher man. My grandfather, father and myself were born in Lagos. We have a family house in Fadeyi very Old house we planning to renovate now. If you like believe,if you like dont believe just told you the truth. |
mightyokwy:My friend Abuja was created from the scratch, it was a bare land created by the FG to be the new Capital. Lagos colony( small space of Marina, VI and Ikoyi) was developed by the white men and the FG then simply continued. Part of the western region was taken to form Lagos state. Ikorodu, Epe, Ajah, Ipaja etc was part of the Western region before it was incorporated into lagos at the emergence of democracy in Nigeria. |
AtlanticBreeze:Well i dont need to waste my time arguing with you. I know its hard for you accepting your rival tribe(Yoruba) is the owner of lagos. |
AtlanticBreeze:Do you know Lagos is ancestral home of yorubas even if they the indigenes are small in population. Ijebus, Aworis are indigenes of Lagos and they are Yorubas. I am Ijebu but my part falls into Ogun state but some ijebus from Ikorodu claim Lagos. Jimi Agbaje, the PDP governorship candidate from the last election is an ijebu man from Ikorodu. So please educate yourself better before commenting |
murphyibiam15:You make mockery of yourself. You igbos are just jealous of the Yoruba laying claim to their ancestral home "Lagos". You cannot blame the Yorubas for the British coming to the entity called Nigeria through their land. I have repeated this story to educate people like you many times and am tired. The colony of lagos is different from Lagos State of today. Colony of Lagos is just a small area where the british established an administrative control over the entire Nigeria and these places are Victoria Island, Ikoyi and Marina. When they left part of the Western region was added to make it Lagos state. ikorodu,Epe, Ajah, Lekki side were Ijebuland before the creation of state. The Ikeja downwards towards the Alagbado side was Awori land. The Badagry side was Egunland. So please Educate yourself before spewing thrash. Nothing you can do or say will change the fact tha Lagos State is Yoruba ancestral land. We have a Governor in place, traditional rulers in place and all other administrative and cultural structures in place and nothing will ever change that. |

AtlanticBreeze:What makes you think is not from Lagos hun? |
OP dont forget the word "Bible" is English not hebrew. The Bible is a compiled writtings of great men of God into a book. Like many has said with passing time and age people invented ways to make life more easier. The 10 commandments of God was writen in Stones, as time went on Scrolls were invented then books and now Mobile Electronic devices( Laptop, Phones and Ipads). Its the word of God you carry in you that is what lives with you not the book. |
I smile at what some people think Kwara is a Hausa-Fulani state. First, this type of situation where you get mixed tribe in one state is coz of its proximity with another state with its unique tribe. Take for example Anambra, home to 90% igbos and about 10% igalas. Edo,90% Edo people say abt 10% Yorubas. Delta and Rivers with mixed percentage of tribes with igbo because of its proximity with the igbo land.Kwara 90% Yoruba, 10% Nupe, Hausa etc. Though Yorubas lost the seat of traditional power because of the battle with the Oyo Empire by Afonja. It was during the creation of states the mapping out wasnt properly done. |
Nobody remebered the Timberland and the dunghill |
