We don agree deal for Deportivo La Corona Striker Lucas Perez for £17M/3M attached few from his former greece club PAOK Saloniki. We also agree £35M for Skhodran Mustafi. They will undergo a Medical today and should be ready to play next weekend.

Lucas Perez stats for Deportivo 17 goals in 24 matches with one goal froma Penalty kick thats decent. If this guy can compliment Giroud during his goal drought will be very good for Arsenal thats if they both score on the average of 17 goals each.

First of all i do not beef the Igbos and yes i am Yoruba. I laugh at such articles and mindset.
Reno is just a big fool i repeat no African tribe is technologically advanced. The igbos are very hardworking, talented and smart that i agree on but to say they built Jet fighters and drilled and refined crude oil is just bullshit.

Only the whites and Asians do technology, why did it take Anglo-dutch company (Shell) to know Oil was buried beneath our soil, why didnt the igbos use their own technology to discover it. Or was the Hausa and Yoruba holding you down before the Civil war?

Igbos i do not hate you but stop allowing these fools like Reno Omokri to stroke your ego by lying to you.

Some Nairalanders are just plain stupid and foolish, you keep reading people's experiences and choose not to believe such things happen.
Either it was hypnosis or charm i dont know but it does happen.

It once happened to me at Toyin street/Opebi roundabout Ikeja where i changed 100 pounds for my mum when it was still 150 naira for one pounds.
I counted the money but it was short of 1000naira so i told him it was 1,000 naira short, he counted the money again and agreed it was short, he brought out 1000 naira note from his pocket he added it to the one i counted earlier( i never got my eyes off the money). When i got inside the eatery to eat i gave my mum she counted it and counted just 5000 naira instead of 15,000 naira.
I couldnt believe my eyes,I had to search under the table if the money did not drop from her hands. It is these same hausa people that do these tricks or charm dont know but its real.

I am not against the Igbos but your elders needs to reorientate their children about the love of money, the get rich or die syndrome. Only stupid Igbos will deny this issues abt their kins.

Teach your kids good morals, its very important. Every tribe has criminals but Igbos rank the highest in Nigeria.

Yorubas for example, will always emphasize it to their kids " Ranti omo eni ti ewo n se" meaning always remember where you are coming from do not put us to shame" they uphold moral values and emphasize it.

This is a call to Ohaneze Ndigbo to as a matter of urgency come up with some reorentation programme for all Igbo youths.

One thing i noticed abt Ibadan while i was there is that,it has more tarred road than even lagos. Almost all the internal and intra-city roads are tarred.

I think the city is still enjoying its position as the Capital of Western region back in the 60's.
Many infrastructures was built by the govt of the first republic, if only the present crop of leaders can consolidate on these infrastructures .I think Ajumobi has tried anyway, the city has done well since he got in better than Ladoja and Akala.

Igbos fail to understand that, Ibadan is one of the oldest cities in Africa. No SE state is even quarter as old as Ibadan.

I served in Ibadan and the state govt at least tried almost all the roads in btw those brown roofs are tarred.
That area is just the ancient part of the city, the modern parts are way bigger than those sides of the city.

They think people dont know abt the red mud erosion of the SE, they got served .

Yes Abuja was built with oil money from scratch but not Lagos. Lagos has been a great city from the colonial period before the discovery of oil in the late 60's .I really dont have time debating with a kid.

Lagos was develop with Niger Delta oil. its now very clear to us all. now we decide to back our oil. the whole country is own it knees. and yet you guys don't respect the contribution so far from the Niger Delta. by the time we declared Niger Delta nation. Lagos economy will be grounded.
You are truly a kid, Lagos has always been standing pre-colonial era and post colonial era and will continue to stand many more centuries from today. Your Niger-Delta Oil was only discovered in the 60's and Lagos has been a big city long before your so called oil and lagos doesnt live by your oil. That has been demonstrated by OBJ stopping allocation to lagos because of his war with Tinubu. All the investments in Lagos during this low oil price era has not come from your oil. Besides Lagos now produces oil to a reasonable extent.

Lagos is what it is today because of the one Nigeria and emergence of deferent ethic group that flood Lagos. this has opened of the economic heavy weight of Lagos and why many companies choose it for it headquarters.

let me tell you something, from the day this so called one Nigeria will end. Lagos is in doomed.

the city will no longer boom as it is today. many investment will be move away from Lagos and other part of the country will closed it border against Lagos.

the sea port activities will be crumbled and the airports must likely closed down or port of it shut down for low economic activity.

little by little it that city with old glory will lost it economic activities and probably crippled to it knees so watched out and be careful.
You see why you can never claim Lagos as No man's land. You dont even connect with the city spiritually, you dont wants her progress but you want her downfall.

If one Nigeria breaks up, does that mean people will stop coming to Yorubaland through the Lagos Airport or the ships will stop coming to the sea port.

Every city cannot last forever like someone mentioned. Great cities of Old have all come and gone so most likely Lagos too will be like that some day so you are just a kid who knows nothing but hate and jealousy.

The same propaganda article you posted here is the one your kin posted back in 2015 that was why people avoided the lie.

I repeat no sane Yoruba man will use the word Oba for himself outside Yoruba land. There are other titles smaller to oba they can use not Oba.

What is the meaning of acting- Oba for real? grin You changed the chairman of Yourba community in kano to Oba Yoruba in Kano na wa for some igbos o.

Your propaganda cant work.

It is not a propaganda, yorubas have Obas outside their land yet poring smelly spit on Igbos because of eze Ndiigbo title on their lands.

I smh.
It is a lie and the reason is simple, when the issue of Eze-Ndigbo in SW was trending on Nairaland why didnt any igbo person come out to shame yorubas if indeed they had Obas in the North. Do you even know the meaning of "Oba". It is a traditional and spiritual position tied to his ancrstral land. No sane yoruba man will claim himself as Oba outside Yoruba land.

Meanwhile this is the hypocricy of the yorubas. They are angry at Igbos having Eze Ndiigbo on yoruba land but the yorubas themselves have Obas outside of yorubaland. Why are these people like this?

Read this:

The Yoruba Council of Obas in the 19 northern states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja have advocated for an amicable resolution of the face-off between farmers in the southwest and Fulani cattle rearer over grazing activities.

Arising from its 5th Quarterly meeting in Abuja, the council implored the Ondo State government to resolve the Fulani Cattle rearers-farmers’ conflict to avoid spill over to the northern part of the country.

A communique signed by the council’s acting Chairman who is also Mai (Oba) of Yoruba in Borno, Alhaji Hassan Yusuf and Dr Alani Adeyemi, Oba Yoruba Gombi, made available to journalists in Maiduguri yesterday, it appealed to the Ondo State governor to use his experience in resolving the problem.

“We implore the Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko to use his good office to resolve the ongoing crisis between the Fulani Cattle rearers and farmers in the state amicably and quickly to avoid spill over effect,” the council said.

It advised non-indigenes living in the southwest states and north to abide by the rules and traditional laws of the state they reside. It also urged them to continue to live harmoniously and peacefully with their hosts.

The council commended President Mohammadu Buhari for what it described as his genuine efforts at addressing immediate needs of the country especially the fight against Boko Haram insurgency and other security challenges, calling for support from all Nigerians. End

Something is wrong with this report, a yoruba person can never call himself an Oba outside of yoruba land.
This is a huge propaganda against the yoruba people. Vangard goofed on this report, Oba is a traditional and spiritual head of his ancestral land. Any normal Yoruba person will never call himself Oba in a foreign land.

An Oba is expected to do some Oro traditional rites and that is not possible in a foreign land where you restrict people from coming out at Night.

Is eithet this report is a lie or those Yorubas are simply mad.

You and the guy you quoted are real fucking educated illiterates. So you dont know during the first govt that earned from crude oil was gowon at arnd $2 dollars per barrel to arnd $18 per barrel during Abacha period. Obasanjo was $22-38 per barrel at abt 1.5million barrels/day production.

Fastforward to Jonathan btw $100-140 per barrel at 2.3 million barrel per day.

If you do the calculation you will realize that the report was true, Nigeria earned 50% of its earnings during Jonathan's period.

The budget bench mark was put at $87 per barrel
So a $13 dollars per barrel at 2.3 million barrel/day production output will go into the ECA

Note*Obasanjo and Yaradua faced Militancy issues, Jonathan never faced militant issue and Obasanjo left 56billion dollars in the ECA and Yaradua in just 2 years increased to 68billion dollars.

I doubt if global oil price will ever go back to $140 per barrel.

Imagine yorubas who hated and were slaughtering themselves through kiriji and ekiti parapo war before colonialist came saying that Igbos are divided. Till now bring up religious topic and see how christians and moslems among them tear themselves. Go to osun oyo and see division or hear ijebu man describe an average yoruba. Do we talk of north? The know igboland is the only place were another Igbo will can settle in another area, blend, marry, have family while still having strong contact with his home town. Even Igboland in south south! No religious or political riots that involves burning of property unlike north and west. They expect us to be perfect and set high standards for us maybe because they think we are superior.
My friend if you dont know anything abt yorubas stop lying to people here. Where did you hear of an Ijebu man discriminate against another yoruba from another place. Have you ever heard one part of Yoruba dont marry another part?. Yes the war btw ourselves was pre-colonial but we have moved past that in the 21st century. Why are igbos still divided among themselves in 2016? Anybody can choose whatever religion they like even in America christians and muslims live together. When i see Igbos i see hate, they have turned into enemy of the state. Their castigation of this govt is not because they want the country to improve, they castigate this govt because the hate every inch of them.

People like me dont hate Jonathan because i voted and mobilized people in the SW to vote him but retracted from supporting him when he began to fail upon the huge resources on his hands ($140 per barrel/2.3million production output) not because i hate him but because he failed i never blamed him for Bokoharam.Fastforward to 2015, i voted for Buhari not because i like him but he was a better option to jonathan. Even before he started working, the IPOBs hate him for no reason other than he is a fulani man from the North.

Many Nigerians were behind jonathan before he started failing and backed off those are true patrotic citizens bt the IPOB were not even behind Buhari at any point they just hate him no matter what he does even if Nigeria turns to Eldorado tomorrow they will forever hate him.

You are right but that is in an ideal country not Nigeria. Is just like the case of Ijaw Militants. They have decided its either they collect free money or they go into crime. So in such cases as these only govt can rehabilitate them and put into active and proper workforce so the crime rate can reduce. Dont forget they dont reason like you do.

There are thousands of pictures showing igbos in half nudity in a primitive way. Go to African Magic you can still watch some igbo films where they potray their livestyle before pre-colonial era and you will see the primitive half-nudity.

Am not sure if you know what you are saying "Artisans" Lol which thug get time to learn handy work. The only way the govt can do what you suggested is to remove the yellow buses completely, train them and employ them into LAMATA if not then it impossible to stop this menace.

Many of you are very ignorant of some things, you see those guys called Agbero actually work for NURTW. Some wear uniforms some dont wear uniforms. The money they collect is what actually made crime reduced in Lagos State. Remove those guys on the streets without alternative source to accomodate them and see Crime skyrocket back to the days of Buba Maruwa.

Yes for lagos to attain the mega city status those guys as well as the popular yellow buses called Danfo must go but you need to put them into active service so they dont go back to petty crimes.

I keep saying it that Jonathan and his marauding gang, including Okonjo Iweala, brought Nigeria to this sorry pass! They messed up big time and the effect will surely take time to clear. Just recall how Jonathan came to South West early 2015 spending dollars like a drunken sailor!! Nigerians blaming Buhari for the current mess have a short memory indeed. They should turn to Jonathan and ask him to bring back all the dollars frittered away including the ones shared to Niger Delta Militants as alleged yesterday by MEND. Jonathan should stop parading himself as a Stateman or a respected leader of the Commonwealth Election Monitoring Group. It is sickening. We are all in this Jonathan inflicted mess, so we should roll up our sleeves and support Buhari and Osinbajo to revive the economy. Indeed, we should stop importing items we can produce here so as to save the naira! Ironically, I will say to all those complaining - Goodluck to you all!!!
No matter how much you explain to these wailers/IPOB/SS/SE wannabes they will never listen. They have already programmed their minds to blame Buhari for the present economic woes.

They know Oil is our mainstay for the Economy, they know the Oil price has crashed seriously, they are the ones cheering the Militants to keep bombing Pipelines, they know that NOI said this time will come because we refused to save in the days of Oil boom, they know their master GEJ left the foreign reserves almost empty but they will keep blaming Buhari.

So let them wail we are all in this together, its all about sentiments for them, they hate the Northerners even if they see an honest one, even if buhari takes us to the promise land they will forever hate him because their minds is programmed that way,for the reasonable people lets keep praying for our president to steer this country out of this recession.

Note* I voted Goodluck Jonathan in 2011 and Buhari in 2015 and if given the chance to choose who to vote again between PMB and GEJ i will choose PMB over and Over again.

Ethnic bigot posts. GEJ was actually responsible for this mess, he didnt save money in time of plenty, now when time of scarcity came due to oil price fall, and people are here blaming buhari. GEJ inherited strong economy built by OBJ, the economy started nose-diving during Yar Adua era when he bowed to pressure to share savings made by OBJ, GEJ continued the sharing spree, not only that lootery became national culture under him, and the rest was distributed during 2015 election. Buhari came and inherited liabilities of a sinking ship. Even Ngozi, the minister of finance told GEJ of the need to save, but she was turned down, no one listened. I am not surprised that most people posting here are as half-baked as GEJ, graduates who have no substance. I recommend for the GEJ e-warrior here to check out how many factories folded up under GEJ watch, maybe you will realize there is no magic wand anyone to save the current situation. Dollar started fallen under GEJ,they started borrowing to pay salary, so what is new here, other than ethnic sentiment which is the main reason this country sliding to hopelessness. Thieves are no more thieves, the right has become wrong, all because of ethnic sentiments.
You are very correct my brother you see the problem is very simple and i will never blame buhari for the problem of Nigeria. Only the tribalist and ethnocentric people from the SS/SE that just hate Buhari even if Nigeria is turning to eldorado they will still find something to blame him for. They are driven by hate and dont look at issues objectively.

People like me if given the option to choose between Jonathan and Buhari i will choose Buhari over and over again. Not because i like Buhari or i hate Jonathan but because Jonathan lacks good leadership.

The issue of Nigeria is very simple, you collect 300k basic salary every month, you throw parties every month, your employer now decided to slash your salary to 50k how do you keep throwing parties like before it will definitely affect you.

In Nigeria, for the past 3 decades our mainstay of the Economy is Oil, now the Oil price has crashed, the militants are destroying pipelines inturn production output has falling to below 50% and you still expect things to be going on fine and you blame Buhari.

I think something is wrong with people who say they regret voting for Buhari.

If you say Buhari was slow in Economic policies that might have affected us a bit but it is insignicant to what the effect of Oil price and Vandalization has caused.

This is not Buhari's fault, it is the fault of previous leaders who abandoned our other sources of revenue before the advent of Oil and the lack of will to save and use the Oil earnings to better the country. Diversification is not a 1 year thing it takes about a decade to start reaping the rewards of diversification.

I can categorically tell you if PDP was still in Power now Nigerians would have scattered all over the African countries for survival.

1. You complain about loopsided appointments, do you think everybody with Mohammed Abubakar is an Hausa- Fulani man, the North too has so many tribes with Muslim names so the Mohammed Abubakar might be an Egbira person.

2. You complain about Inflation, tell me when we had Oil boom at $100-140 per barrel at 2.2million bbl/day production. The govt of PDP right from Obasanjo to Jonathan refused to diversify into other sectors so that we can boost our foreign exchange, local currency and at least begin to export Agricultural products, revive our Steel plants, the Mineral resources mining sector etc.they didnt do that we thought the Oil price will continually increase and our lazy ass will keep enjoying now the Oil price has crashed, the Avengers are breaking Oil and gas pipelines how do you expect this govt to stabilize our currency value when our only source is going down by the day.

3 You complain he shouldnt have stop importation of Rice so you want the govt to keep using dollars to import rice so our currency can further go down.

In Conclusion, the only reason why things are this bad is because of our lazy govt from time who have refused to diversify when Oil was selling at the all- time high. Oil is like our life sources without it we will all suffer except you diversify and diversification is not a 1- year thing its a decade thing.

you mentioned my harmless post and now I responded by asking you a simple question like your state of origin, you want to take.. Ok, I'll assume you are from lagos like all other yorubas on nairaland.. lol
Not evey Yoruba is from Lagos but at least they connect spiritually with their Yoruba brothers and sisters from Lagos.
Me for example my great grandfather was the one who migrated to Lagos before the colonial masters came, my grandfather down to me was born in Lagos even though i dont claim Lagos i am from Ogun but lived most of my life in lagos except for the years i lived in England. So i connect with the land because its our ancestral land. If a yoruba person insults Abia state and you are from Imo wont you stand with your igbo brothers from Imo to fight the Yoruba person?
