Nigerians get plenty mumu people. No wonder our country is not working. Look at Southafrica and Southafricans who are 80-90% Christians...they're more smart than some of you beclouded by religious nonsense.
Obaranje: it is not hyping they have level all most the whole of gaza with impunity, if not for the world begging especially America Rafa would have far far been gone.
It only takes a courageous nation like Israel to carry out such tasks. Them no send anybody, you put body you go collect just like Iran just collect their own now. No be hyping brother na wetin person sabi, Israel sabi handle them terrorist very well
Una no de think! Why is it taking them this long? Shey una say Ukraine is winning the war and when we said Russia is being careful because of civilian population, you people disagree, but it's the same case here. Double standards!
It's the USA that's giving Israel the mind It's having.
rottennaija: Chief, soup don dey ready. Iran is ready to take Israel to the cleaners. If US put mouth, them collect. Why are they calling for ceasefire now? Biden and Sunak has called for immediate ceasefire. Soon, Germany, Italy, Brussels and the rest of useful idiots will call for ceasefire. Why? It's gone beyond what they could control.
They thought it's something Israel can finish in matter of days, so they looked away for Israel to massacre the people of Gaza, it didn't work out that way and they're bringing their hypocrisy to bear simply because Central kitchen aid workers who are britons were killed.
See, do you know the amount of arms supply israel is getting just to fight Hamas alone? They're even exhausted already. Iran is strategically positioned not to lose easily. So, quit dreaming.
emkz: One of the greatest anomalies in northern Nigeria is the misappropriation of resources on matters that have no developmental value to those states, for example:
(1) Ramadan feeding (2) Hajj subsidy and outright payment (3) Mass weddings.
Internally generated revenue in some of the states doing these things are extremely poor. They include: Sokoto, Kebbi, Jigawa, and Kano. The quality of life of the population is also disturbing, yet they invest in things that cannot improve the lives of their citizens. For example, do all these states have good drinking water? Are their citizens gainfully employed? Are their children in school? Is infrastructure in top shape?
Okay, the funds allocated for Ramadan feeding: are the included in the budget? If not, how will the funds be accounted for? After Ramadan, will the people not eat again? Is it the responsibility of state governments to feed citizens during Ramadan? Do the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia feed their citizens with public funds during Ramadan?
Then to the issue of Hajj sponsorship: when the sponsored return from Hajj, would they return to an eldorado state of affairs or they return to an endemic poor state of affairs?
Northern governors must separate personal spiritual pursuits from public funds. Public funds belong to the public and should be geared towards public good and not fund people's private spiritual pursuits.
As for the Jigawa State Commissioner for Commerce suspended for alleged mismanagement of iftar feeding programme funds, I think the state government and entire cabinet ought to suspend themselves too for misappropriation of public funds to a feeding programme unknown to the state's appropriation bill.
Boldideas: Am from Kogi State and possibly older than Yahaya Bello.. He is nothing but a disaster to Kogi State!!! Buying houses in ABUJA just like his late processor, Audu Abubakar.
It is my prayer Tribunal saves Kogi state from Yahaya Bello and APC and, gives us a governor like Alex! Somebody who will dredge Lokoja river and turn it into mini port!
Remove him! Very useless guy. But he scored 100% in security.
Yahaya was rugged with security, but he's a failure on many important areas. He couldn't even pay salaries.
adioolayi: "Chief Kanu Agabi, SAN; Alex Iziyon, SAN and Emmanuel Ukala, SAN, who appeared for INEC, governor and APC, respectively, argued that the petitioners did not list the name of the witness in their proof of evidence and that the witness statement on oath was not front-loaded alongside the petition."
We all know election petition is a very technical and difficult case in Nigeria to prosecute...just that one would expect the petitioners not to be repeating many of these little technical mistakes such as the one in quote.
With loads of election petitions we all followed in the aftermath of 2023 elections, myself wey no be lawyer don know say you have to list your witness and front load your witness statement and evidence so that the defence counsel will have access to it before proceedings.
DeltaBachelor: This is what we want..... Healthy competition between foreign products and locally produced ones. Although, concession should be given to indigenous manufacturers, so that they can also compete favourably....
How can local producers compete with foreigners? Lol
mrvitalis: I don't really know why states are crying
The back bone of any government around the world is property tax
There are over 250,000 houses in each of these stated in city n towns
Valued at a minimum of 10 million to 500 million
Say average of 35 million
A property tax of 1% value of house is not bad 3% is ideal.. So let's go to 1.5%
That's easy 131 billion
But once u do this know u must work, Know street have to be paved Streets have to be clean Roads must work Know propaganda of tribe and religion won't work
Maybe these are the reason they don't go for it since they have enough to steal but not to work
You're suggesting a man who's down should still be stomped on.
The development is also connected to the decision by the Uk government to reduce international students, as some concessions given them that level have been whittled down.
When they reverse certain policy thinking they're rendering help to others and not helping themselves, too, this is what it leads to.
hakeemhakeem: You have phone and data but you can't make use of it very well, common research of the two phrases (naptha and fuel oil)will have enlarged your knowledge
The same thing modular refinery are doing - selling naphtha. That's not good for us
Throwback to when Yahaya Bello boldly declared his mission to rally Nigerian youths behind Bola Tinubu's bid for victory. His passionate call to action reverberated across the nation, igniting a wave of enthusiasm among the younger generation. Bello's strategic blueprint involved a multifaceted approach,
He even donated a campaign office to Tinubu, showing his dedication. Bello also took a stand against the federal government's naira note policies that seemed to work against Tinubu, showing his support in action. Through innovative youth empowerment initiatives and successful campaigns, he sought to galvanize support for Tinubu's candidacy.
Despite facing skepticism and logistical challenges, Bello's unwavering determination signaled a seismic shift in Nigerian political mobilization, inspiring hope and reshaping the landscape for generations to come.
You didn't bring back the time he insulted Tinubu for supporting Faleke.
You didn't bring back the time he worked against Audu and APC because he lost in the primaries in 2015.
You didn't bring back the moment he stormed out of the meeting where it was being discussed that power should return to the south where other governors supported the move.
You didn't bring back where he refused to yield to Tinubu's pleas to step down for him and he went all the way to contest in the primaries. In fact, he killed a certain Okwo and attempted to kill Muri for making sure he didn't get 100% of the votes of delegates from Kogi state at the convention.
He returned supporting when Tinubu had crossed all the hurdles and it was obvious he's going to win. Who needs his support at that point in time?
You don't commit all these sins against an eventual winner and be in his good book.
He was humiliating the late Ado Ibrahim, a father of Ebira nation. Yahaya doesn't have respect for anything - he acts as he likes. Accidental governor who turned to a killer. He's going to pay for his sins.
LocalFARMERS: Oshiomole deserves to brag. The man did alot in Edo. Unlike the present Governor
Don't mind that guy called Babajero. Oshomhole never bragged about that , he only talked about Tony Anenih aka Mr Fix it and his cohorts frustrated the fixing of that road.
Edo was struggling before Oshomhole came to the rescue and he handed over to the guy there and he's been a monumental failure.
The warthog was saying it's a federal road and not single remedial work was done despite its effect on the people of that area. In fact, his vehicle once got stuck there.
Some governors do federal roads because it affects their people - but this lazy one in Edo is sleeping on duty.
I heard Edo politicians like Anenih and Mike Onelememen siphoned funds meant for the construction of this road.
