Weeks after the release of Sebee remix, featuring two of Nigeria’s pop singers, there are indications that Olamide and Oritsefemi are currently engaged in silent feud following a collaboration with fast- rising Afro-pop singer, Sossi. Sossi who is signed to Bugatti records label featured Oritsefemi and Olamide in the remix of his popular single, “Sebee”, a track that has made him toast of many. It was learnt during the week that problem started weeks after Sossi dropped the remix. Sossi and his management were said to have paid Olamide N1.5 million for him to feature in the remix while Oritsefemi was allegedly paid N500,000. This disparity in the fee, according to our source, have angered Oritsefemi when he got to know about it. “He’s believed to be angry with Sossi and his management over their decision to pay him less fee as against Olamide, who he perceived to be his junior in the music industry,” said a source who is close to the record label. Confirming the development, a source close to Oritsefemi said that the singer was not happy when he learnt that Olamide was paid more money than him, as he decided to express dissatisfaction over the matter. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/oritsefemi-olamide-in-silent-feud-over-sebee-remix/ check out dis link & kindly share: matlab http://youtube.com/watch?v=M55S-oNu00k |

At least, 20 senators elected on the platform
of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from
Northern Nigeria have been identified to be
working against the smooth running of the
President Muhammadu Buhari led
administration. According to a report in the Nation newspaper, the senators have teamed up with opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The report said the senators were working against the success of the Buhari-led administration for allegedly teaming up with 46 PDP senators to pass a vote of confidence on Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, an APC member and Ike Ekweremadu, a PDP senator as leaders of the Senate. It was also reported that the leadership of the Senate has been working against the position of the ruling party since inception, a claim the Senate president has denied severally. http://www.naij.com/502655-revealed-20-apc-senators-working-buhari.html |

A 41-YEAR-OLD woman has been sentenced to life in jail for organizing the murder of her husband with her 17- year-old lover. Ironically, Karlita Desean Phillips and her 17-year- old boyfriend, Tavirous Dequan Settles, were arrested, charged and sentenced for the murder of her brother-in-law, instead of her husband, reports Metro UK. Phillips of South Carolina, had mandated Settles to murder her estranged husband, but in a case of mistaken identity, Settles managed to kill 31- year-old Jamil Phillips, her husband’s younger brother. Prosecutor David Stumbo said that Phillips was sentenced after she was convicted of accessory before the fact of murder and soliciting a minor to commit a felony. http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/2015/07/woman-conspires-with-lover-to-kill-her-husband/ |
ABUJA—President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, expressed regrets over the non-payment of teachers’ salaries by states, saying it was unfair. The President shared the concern, yesterday, after taking briefs of the activities in the nation’s education sector from the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr. MacJohn Nwaobiala, in Abuja. Speaking to State House Correspondents at the end of the meeting, Nwaobiala said that the President frowned at a situation whereby teachers were owed for upward of six months, stressing that states could not have preferred illiteracy to education. He said: “The President raised the issue of non- payment of teachers’ salaries in some states. He felt it is something that is very unfair. Do you prefer your people to be ignorant? “Some teachers have not been paid for six months in some states, some have not been paid for one year. The President felt very concerned about that. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/buhari-worried-over-non-payment-of-teachers-salaries/ |
Shortly after the August 1983 military coup that
brought a 40-year-old Muhammadu Buhari to
power, he received a phone call from a top
personnel in the United States Army. General
Smith was the Commandant of the U.S. War
College from which Buhari graduated in 1980. The
school’s 1979 set had graduated its first Nigerian,
General Wushishi, who was the Chief of Defence
in the just ousted Shehu government.
“Please, be kind to him,” General Smith said over
the phone. The essence of the phone call was not
just to congratulate Nigeria’s new Head of State,
but to ensure that the first Nigerian to graduate
from the U.S. War College would not suffer any
indignity under the government of the second
Nigerian to graduate from the same school.
Former classmates
On Wednesday, July 22, members of the U.S. War
College Class of 1980 gathered at the Blair House
in Washington, DC, to welcome the man they had
selected as their football team referee 36 years
ago. “Being referee all those years ago taught me
to be fair and just,” President Buhari said during
the meeting.
Among the former classmates gathered were Lt.
General Granrud (Commander of the U.S. forces
in Japan Rtd), Brigadier General Jack Pellica,
General Ronald Griffith (Former Vice Chairman of
the U.S. army central command ), Colonel Lany
Gordon and Colonel Paul Summerville. General
Smith has since passed on, as have all the
directing staff and a larger percentage of the old
students from the set. “This just shows that all of
us are on the queue,” President Buhari said,
“waiting for our turn.”
The Nigerian Commander-in-Chief said he hoped
that the U.S. would continue its tradition of
training Nigerians in the war college. At the time
he attended the school, he was the only African in
his class. The only other foreigners were from
Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel, Indonesia, Thailand,
France and Japan. The Japanese student went on
to become the head of his country’s army.
President Buhari then went on to update his
classmates on his life since he last saw them: his
different appointments, his accomplishments and
his family. “I have just received my 13th
grandchild,” he said.
He added that the wife they knew him with at the
time had since died, and that he had also lost a
son and a daughter from his new wife. “Of all my
eight children,” he said, “only one is a boy.” Some
of his former classmates were curious to know if
President Buhari would place his only son, Yusuf,
in the army.
“I stopped him from joining the army,” President
Buhari replied.
He explained that the military he joined was very
different from what it is today, adding that he
was the second Nigerian to be sent to the U.S.
War College—based on his records alone, without
connections. “Things took a wrong turn in
Nigeria,” he said. “Your records no longer
mattered.”
Some of the former classmates present at the
meeting stated that at the time they met
President Buhari back in 1980, they knew little
about Nigeria or Africa. They credited the Nigerian
leader with giving them their initial enlightenment
about the continent. Others recalled how he
always overworked himself.
However, President Buhari described his war
college experience as being responsible for his
subsequent life of hard work, endurance and
perseverance. “I contested for president three
times and failed,” he said. “Then I did it the
fourth time and won.” A roar of laughter followed
the president’s apt illustration.
He then rendered his narrative of the collapse of
the Soviet Union, breaking into 18 republics and
how that influenced his decision to join politics.
“The collapse of the Soviet empire in 1980
without a single shot being fired convinced that
the multi-party democratic system was the best
for all countries.”
President Buhari then expressed appreciation to
President Barack Obama and to the U.S. for the
role the country played in Nigeria’s successful
elections, recalling Secretary of State, John
Kerry’s visit to him and to former president
Goodluck Jonathan, as well as to Attahiru Jega,
the electoral commissioner at the time.
Electoral commissioner
“Kerry read the riot act to all of us,” he said,
“saying that the conduct of the election must be
free, fair and in line with the Constitution.” He
added that, without US intervention, the electoral
malpractices of the past twelve years would
likely have happened again. “God made me but
America made me,” he said.
The Class of 1980 gave President Buhari the full
assurances of their support, stating that they
were willing to use their experience to assist him
in any way they can, particularly with tackling
terrorism in northeast Nigeria. They promised to
put together and forward to him a compendium of
their thoughts on the security situation in Nigeria.
In September, President Buhari will be meeting
once again with his former classmates, at
another event scheduled to take place at the
United Nations.

Usain Bolt and Justin Gatlin's rivalry can
produce a "crazy" time at August's World
Championships, says ex-British sprinter Darren
Campbell.
Bolt, who set the world record of 9.58 seconds in
2009, ran two season best times of 9.87 at the
Anniversary Games.
Campbell believes Bolt's performances at
London's Olympic Stadium prove the Jamaican
can challenge the year's fastest sprinter Gatlin.
"They both believe they can win gold. That makes
it exciting," he said.
Campbell, a former world 100m bronze medallist,
added: "Now Bolt's in shape, he has 100% belief.
Gatlin definitely believes he can win and that's
what potentially will bring out a crazy time in
Beijng.
"Rivalries are important because it makes people
dig deeper."
Injury and poor form meant Bolt had run just
once over 100m in 2015 prior to Friday, a
lacklustre 10.12 in Brazil in April.
But in wet conditions he twice dipped below 10
seconds for the first time this year, on the track
where he won three of his six Olympic titles.
The 28-year-old secured victory in his heat with
ease and while beating his rivals in the final was
more of a challenge, he equalled his impressive
qualifying time - the joint sixth fastest time of the
year.
According to BBC Radio 5 live pundit Campbell,
the two races this weekend confirmed Bolt - who
withdrew from two Diamond League meetings this
month with a pelvic problem - looked in "good
shape".
"It's important people understand that the injury
he had would be similar to having a car with one
flat tyre," explained Campbell.
"Usain Bolt's strength is his stride and for him
not to be able to get the stride length means he
won't get rhythm so you can understand how
that would play a big part in why his times were
down.
"The performances were very impressive just
because of the conditions, they were terrible. We
do know the Olympic Stadium's track is quick,
but you have to be in shape to put out that time.
"We saw that shift in gear he has when he gets
to 40m, when he starts to open up his stride, and
it's still there. That first 30 to 40m he can work
on. These final three weeks before the
championships he will sharpen up, but Gatlin is a
real threat." |
Yesterday’s chlorine cylinder explosion at the state government’s water treatment plant at the Lamingo water dam in Jos, Plateau state, left 14 people dead, with over a hundred sustaining varying degrees of injuries from poisonous gas inhalation. The cylinder exploded at about 11.30 pm on Friday while people were asleep, The Punch reports, and the gaseous substance enveloped the entire neighbourhood. On Saturday, Emmanuel Nanle, director of press and public affairs to governor Simon Lalong, issued a statement on behalf of the state government regarding the incident. Affected persons are receiving treatment at “OLA Hospital, Evangel Hospital (Jankwano), Plateau Specialist Hospital, and Airforce Hospital. Some of the victims on hospital admission have been discharged,” the statement read, in part. “The contamination has been contained and does not affect the water which has been supplied to public mains. Water from the public mains is safe for consumption and is not affected in anyway by the aerial contamination of chlorine from the exploded cylinder. “Government wishes to commiserate with the families of the victims of this industrial hazard and has taken immediate measures to address the issues of expired components of the treatment plant and to guard against future re-occurrence of this unfortunate incident,” the statement read. The Saturday’s statement put the figure of fatalities at eight; however, Thisday and The Punch published Melvin Ejeh, executive director of a NGO, Global Peace and Life Rescue Initiative’s, update after he visited the scene: he said the death toll from the incident has gone up over 14 persons. The Punch also indicates that, according to eyewitnesses, no less than 160 people were injured due to excess chlorine gas inhalation. Ejeh has commended the Plateau state government for paying the medical bills of the hospitalised victims of the incident. A pregant woman, children and students were among the victims, as well as staff of the Nigeria Immigration Service, all residents or workers of areas not far from the plant. Speaking to The Punch, Nangor Ndam, PR manager of Plateau state water board, said the cylinder must have been leaking prior to the incident, but nobody noticed it until it was too late. The Saturday’s tragedy is the third time that expired dangerous gas would escape from cylinders stored at the warehouse. http://www.naij.com/498758-jos-chemical-explosion-14-killed-hundred-hospitalized-inhaling-poisonous-gas.html check out dis link & kindly share: matlab crack version step by step simple installation guide... http://youtube.com/watch?v=M55S-oNu00k |

The world's first malaria vaccine has cleared one of the final hurdles prior to being approved for use in Africa. The European Medicines Agency gave a positive scientific opinion after assessing its safety and effectiveness. It represents a 'green light' for the Mosquirix jab, developed by GlaxoSmithKline. The World Health Organization will consider later this year whether to recommend it for children, among whom trials have yielded mixed results. Malaria kills around 584,000 people a year worldwide, most of them children under five in sub-Saharan Africa. 'Dream come true' Mosquirix, otherwise known as the RTS,S vaccine, is the first against a parasitic infection in humans. Dr Ripley Ballou, head of research at GSK vaccines, said: "This is a hugely significant moment. I've been working on this vaccine for 30 years and this is a dream come true." The company has not revealed the price of the vaccine, but has pledged not to make a profit from it. World map of populations at risk from malaria It has been designed specifically to combat malaria infection in children in Africa and will not be licensed for travellers. Earlier this year, final results of a clinical trial in seven African countries yielded mixed results. The best protection was among children aged five to 17 months who received three doses of the vaccine a month apart, plus a booster dose at 20 months. In this group, cases of severe malaria were cut by a third over four years. But the effectiveness of the vaccine waned over time, making the booster shot essential. Without a booster the vaccine did not cut the rate of severe malaria over the trial period. And disappointingly, the jab did not prove very effective in protecting young babies from severe malaria. This presents a dilemma for the WHO, which will decide in October whether the vaccine should be deployed, because it is not nearly as effective as scientists would have hoped. Angel Di Maria's proposed move from Manchester United to Paris St-Germain is "close" to being decided, says the French team's coach Laurent Blanc. The Argentina midfielder has not joined United on their pre-season tour of America, and manager Louis van Gaal has said he "does not know why". "There is a good possibility he could sign but there is nothing official," said Blanc after a defeat by Chelsea. "We have to have patience a little longer. The outcome is very close." French paper L'Equipe has reported United have agreed a £46.5m deal with the French champions for the 27-year-old. But it is understood talks are ongoing with a fee yet to be agreed. "He was not on the plane," said Van Gaal after the 3-1 friendly win over Barcelona in Santa Clara, California. "Marcos Rojo was also not on the plane. He has had a passport issue - for Di Maria, I don't know why. I cannot say anything." Van Gaal said on Friday that Di Maria would join United on their pre-season tour of the United States, despite rumours about a move to PSG. However, it has now been claimed the winger, who moved to the Premier League from Real Madrid last summer for a British record £59.7m, will travel to New Jersey - where PSG are based during their tour of the United States - for a medical with the Ligue 1 club. Rapper 50 Cent was ordered Friday to pay
another $2 million to a woman over a sex tape,
despite his pleas that he was short of cash.
A jury announced that it was imposing the
amount in punitive damages against 50 Cent,
bringing to $7 million the total amount he has to
pay over the case.
The Florida-based woman, Lastonia Leviston,
said she felt vindicated after the decision of the
jury in New York.
“I hope he learned a lesson,” she was quoted
saying by the Daily News.
A video that went online in 2009 depicted
Leviston in sex acts that were narrated by 50
Cent, who disguised himself in a wig and spoke in
an artificially high voice to portray his character
“Pimpin’ Curly.”
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James
Jackson III, used the video to mock fellow rapper
Rick Ross, who was formerly in a relationship
with Leviston.
50 Cent apologized in court and argued that he
was not responsible for the video.
After the first set of damages, he filed for
bankruptcy protection, saying his liabilities and
assets were in the same range.
The “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” rapper testified that
his lavish lifestyle was all a facade and that he
borrowed the fancy cars and jewelry that he
showed off in public.
The $2 million in punitive damages, however, is
less than the $15 million in additional
compensation sought by Leviston’s lawyers.

Fiat Chrysler has issued a safety recall affecting 1.4m vehicles in the US, after security researchers showed that one of its cars could be hacked. On Tuesday, tech magazine Wired reported that hackers had taken control of a Jeep Cherokee via its internet-connected entertainment system. Chrysler said it was issuing a voluntary recall to update the software in affected vehicles. The company added that hacking its vehicles was a "criminal action". Security researchers Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek demonstrated that it was possible for hackers to control a Jeep Cherokee remotely, using the car's entertainment system which connected to the mobile data network. The two security researchers have spent years investigating car control systems and developing ways to subvert them. The pair are due to reveal more information about their work at the Def Con hacker conference next month. Shortly after the recall was announced, Mr Miller tweeted: "I wonder what is cheaper, designing secure cars or doing recalls?" Fiat Chrysler said exploiting the flaw "required unique and extensive technical knowledge, prolonged physical access to a subject vehicle and extended periods of time to write code" and added manipulating its software "constitutes criminal action".
