Car Talk / Re: Any Ibo Car Dealer Here In Southern Kaduna? by banky3w(m): 3:32pm On Sep 07, 2020
adanny01:

There is a difference between Southern Kaduna like the op said which is a senatorial Zone and Kaduna south which is an LGA.

People leave Kaduna to Lagos to buy a car. Some even leave Kaduna to Zaria, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto to get better deals but op limits himself to an Igbo car dealer in Southern Kaduna.

He really needs the good luck.

I understand! Who in his right mind will be looking for such criteria in southern kaduna? grin grin
Car Talk / Re: Any Ibo Car Dealer Here In Southern Kaduna? by banky3w(m): 3:56am On Sep 07, 2020
There are numerous car stands in kaduna south now. Coming from river kaduna bridge, there is a car stand just before station round about, there is one car stand immediately after Naira/firstbank roundabout, there is another one before crital hope in front of Queen of Apostle Catholic Church, there is one after it before St. Gerrard hospital and there are 3 more new stands before kalapanzin barracks after St. Gerrard.

Why you want an Igbo dealer I don’t know but goodluck on your search!

A 2006 GS 300 and a 2011 GS 350 front bumper are exactly the same. Now, why the hell would I pay 900k for exactly the same thing? I’d rather buy a spare engine and gear and keep it! grin grin

Hello house, I intend buying a car in Nov. However, my price budget is 2m to 2.5 but at most 3m (at most). The preferred condition is tokunbo and not naija used. What car would you advice me to go for. I kinda love the look of GS 350. Please advice is needed. Is it possible I get that GS 350 within that price range?
The GS 350 is a great choice and with 3m you can get a 2008 year model if you preorder for it now as dollar exchange rate is not smiling and we don’t know what might happen before November.

No thanks. In broad daylight, the port rats steal your car keys and any car parts or items they want at will and now you want them to operate at night so they can steal your whole car/consignment abi. Let them deal with the security issues at the port first, we will appreciate that over senseless 24hrs operation.

All is well. The truth is most new cars have knock sensors which will ₩etard* timing* to prevent knock if all else checks out.
Thanks, I’ll pass. I’ll almost be clawing at my skin if I’m limited to 3000 rpm while interstate. But I guess it won’t be as bad as it sounds sha!

Just an update on this thread. cheesy
The pings are gone. grin
Happy days. Travelled with the car recently (over 900 miles) round trip and not one ping.
I suspect my pistons had carbon on them and previous highway trips with octane boosters and a few Italian tune ups (make that a lot) had burnt out the carbon.
I suspected this was the case because a few times in lag, I'd occasionally rev my engine during spirited driving and won't notice any ping.
I put the hammer down a few times on the trip (car fully loaded) even when going uphill on the Benin bypass and nothing. No pings.
The good days are here. cheesy
Congratulations bro. Your previous experience made me run from that car! grin

Three years ago, I was driving to work on a rainy morning. I was on the speed lane, listening to some country songs, about 50 meters ahead, a Golf 2 Taxi left the service lane and swerved to the speed lane. I couldn't divert to the service lane without hitting other cars. I had to swerve to the right, off the road, with my legs on the break pedal while trying to avoid my car from somersaulting. My car kept swerving to the right even with the breaks. She finally came to a halt very close to the road divider. First time this happened to me since 25 years of my driving record.

Other cars had stopped by, hoping to rescue me in the event of an accident. I got hold of myself, engaged my gear and drove fast to catch up with the careless driver. I got to block him on the road, he pulled out a screwdriver at me even when he was at fault. I opened my trunk, brought out the hose pipe (which came with the car when I purchased it, never had any use for it until that morning). I used it to whip the driver twice, I kept charging at him when other car owners who had followed the whole scene, pulled me back from harming the driver. Everyone scolded the driver. I got to his car and broke the wiper blades.
The driver don chop am with gbese on top grin grin grin grin

I wasn’t showing off sir! The guy almost made me kill innocent road users because of his ego or whatnot. I was just pissed he did it intentionally. Driving all the way from Lagos on that day till I got to that area (I think abaji) after lokoja was peaceful and smooth before the man pissed me off. If I run pass you, let me pass and if you run pass me,let me pass. Shikena

Have you ever been angry? Road rage isn’t something you get into your car and plan on doing. It may happen to you on your happiest day on the road, one irritation caused by another person for no reason. It isn’t about speed or anything bro. Every sane person knows it is wrong and not to get involved but human will always be human!

Give up already. Does it look like I care....?

I pointed out that your Camry 2001 model was no match for the Prado Jeep, you twisted your argument.

Again, you downplayed the condition of the car in question, emphasizing on the state of mind of the driver. I pointed out the condition of the car is just as important as the state of the driver.

If you have issues with understanding simple grammar, it isn't my fault.
I did what I said I did. If it was you that was driving the prado Please do come tell me. I don’t know why you have an issue with what I experienced.

I downplayed the condition of the car blah blah blah........ I like your sense of being entitled to my explanation like I owe you one......... Please continue grin grin

I have experienced a Honda city 2005 or so trying to beat me in an Avalon and while toying with him, I saw he was driving dangerously and I had to stylishly let him pass and keep pulling ahead. Was the city a match for the Avalon? Did he win?

If you feel the Camry was no match for a Prado, na you sabi as it is your own opinion and you’re entitled to it.

If you have issues with simple comprehension, that isn’t my fault either.

You cannot rule out the condition of the car. It is as important as the state of mind of the man behind the wheels.
With this your statement, I GIVE UP! I know your type.

So a Honda cannot pass a Ferrari on the road if the Ferrari is just cruising with the top down and the driver taking in the scenery and the Honda doing redline for whatever reason just because the Ferrari is a fast car by your logic.
