Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was born on 21st October 1956 at Kwankwaso town in Madobi Local Government Area, Kano State. He had his early primary education in his hometown before moving to Wudil of Craft School (1970-1972) and from there to Kaduna Polytechnic where he did his National and Higher National Diploma. From there he went on to Middlesex Polytechnic (1982-1983) and Loughborough University of Technology (1983 -1985) in the UK where he got his Masters Degree in Water Engineering. Engr. Musa Kwankwaso served as a civil servant for 17 years in various capacities in Kano, especially at the Kano State Water Resources and Engineering Construction Agency (WRECA), where he rose through the ranks to become Principal Engineer. His active party political life started with his election as a member of House of Representatives in 1992 representing Madobi Federal Constituency. His 1992 subsequent election as Deputy Speaker in the House brought him to the limelight of national politics. This was of course truncated by military coup. In 1994 Muhammad Rabiu Musa was elected delegate to the constitutional conference which fashioned out the constitution that later ushered in the Fourth Republic. Under that dispensation, he contested and won the governorship of Kano State which he governed from 1999- 2003. He failed to win re- election in 2003 and was subsequently appointed Minister of Defence under President Obasanjo. Advisor to President on Darfur and Somalia and member NDPC representing North West. |

Billyonaire: A central Bank governor that is not vested with statistics and inner working of the revenue generation of the government, is not qualified to be my personal accountant. Sanusi studied Islamic Religion most of his adult life and had no reason to head a central bank. He is a marxist like me, but truth is, he is supposed to lead political parties not even a central bank of burundiIn 1985 Sanusi joined Icon Limited (Merchant Bankers), a subsidiary of Morgan Guaranty Trust Bank of New York, and Baring Brothers of London. He moved to the United Bank for Africa in 1997 in the Credit and Risk Management Division, rising to the position of a General Manager. In September 2005, he joined the Board of First Bank of Nigeria as an Executive Director in charge of Risk and Management Control, and was appointed Group Managing Director (CEO) in January 2009. He was also the Chairman, Kakawa Discount House and sat on the Board of FBN Bank (UK) Limited.[1] Sanusi is recognized in the banking industry for his contribution towards developing a Risk Management culture in the Nigerian banking sector.[5] First Bank is Nigeria's oldest bank and one of the biggest financial institutions in Africa.[6] Sanusi was the first Northerner to be appointed CEO in First Bank's history of more than a century.[7] |

Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's father; Alhaji Musa Kwankwaso who holds the traditional title of Maji Dadin Kano and District Head of Madubi was attacked by unknown gunmen in the outskirts of Kano city. Although the details are still sketchy with sources saying the attack occurred at a mosque while another version has it that the elderly Kwankwaso was attacked at his residence. Another version has it that the gunmen killed several persons after shooting sporadically on their way to Mr. Kwankwaso’s residence while the old man narrowly escaped being killed. |

APC is so good. I am happy that I am now in a party that respects everybody big, small or medium. Anybody in APC is today being respected unlike the PDP where no individual, no group, no state not even a region is important to them.....Gov Kwankwaso |

Has anyone been listening to the president and his ministers lately to hear how they have been praising themselves for their monumental achievements in 2013? One of them actually said that President Jonathan recorded more achievements than all our past heads of state put together. These chaps are simply wonderful. I will not call them stupid. It is either they are sick or they are just comedians. Meanwhile, I am in Dubai where their ultra- performing leader, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said in effect that he has not achieved anything yet. Whatever they have done so far is nothing compared to the plans that they have. Spot the difference! Via: SAM NDA-ISAIAH |

Adamawa State Governor Murtala Nyako has said his defection to All Progressives Congress (APC) was not informed by the desire to become party leader in the state, but a patriotic move to save democracy from tyrannical grip. The governor stated this through a statement signed by his director of press and public affairs, Mallam Ahmad Sajo. Nyako said his defection alongside the other four governors’ was informed by the need to provide viable opposition platform that would check the current drift in the polity, particularly the replacement of all democratic cultures and tenets with a culture of impunity and political brigandage. “The need to join other patriots to form a Pan-Nigerian national platform that will serve as a veritable vehicle for the enthronement of genuine unity, peace and progress in the country and the desire to build a political party that respects the welfare and interest of the Nigerian people was behind our resolve to move to APC,” the statement said. Governor Nyako further noted that at the time they pulled out of the PDP, several options were open to them, but they considered moving to APC as it was the best option to fight the injustice perpetrated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). “We could have formed a new political party; we could have joined a newly registered party or any of the other existing political parties in Nigeria. But we opted to join APC because it represents a broad based coalition of democratic forces built on the ideals of progress and development,” he said. |
The ongoing nationwide strike by polytechnic lecturers is set to continue as a meeting, Monday, between the lecturers and the federal government ended in a deadlock. The lecturers have been on strike since October 1 demanding among others better working condition, infrastructure improvement, and an end to discrimination of polytechnic graduates. |
The first challenge that the APC has is to build a formidable party that not only has a strong foundation and structure but also has a clear left of centre ideological leaning. Such a party must also be led by an impressive set of educated, articulate, clear thinking, historically-literate and courageous leaders who are ready to risk all, including their lives, to fight Jonathan and save Nigeria from the evil called the PDP. The second challenge is for the party to identify and field a northern Presidential candidate that is acceptable to both northerners and southerners and to both Christians and Muslims from all over the country. |

APC has appointed a former Governor of Edo State, Chief John Odigie Oyegun and former Chairman of the defunct New PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, to co-chair a high- powered committee set up to resolve internal crises rocking its chapters in Adamawa, Kano and Sokoto States. what “is happening in Adamawa, Kano and Sokoto should be expected. With the merger, political calculations and equation are bound to be affected. With the five governors coming over, these were further affected.” Mohammed said that there were instances where three gubernatorial candidates contesting on the platform of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 2011 are now together in the new APC (Adamawa is a good example of that) APC will not spare any effort to resolve the crises. The crises are normal. When the chances of political offices are contracted, naturally people will react. But we have set up a high-powered committee that will go to all these states to resolve the crises. Again, there is a lot of misunderstanding and misplaced fear |
A replica of what is happening in PDP is also happening in Burkina Faso as we speak. 75 Members decamp from ruling party for same reason. APC leading the way |

Despite all the claims by President Goodluck Jonathan and his men that a lot is being done to improve power and other critical infrastructure, the world’s richest man, Bill Gates, has just released a shocking fact that they are just lying and deceiving Nigerians, as usual. Bill Gates has assisted Jonathan on several issues, so no one can claim that he is one of Jonathan’s so called enemies.
