The counter argument those set of people will have to this is the ‘but we are Manchester United, we should be beating everybody and be on top’ talk.

We have not been top of the table halfway into the season ever since SAF retired and we’ve consistently finished outside the top 4, garnering an average of 66 points per season.

But suddenly we should be getting 100 points and beating everybody.

The people talking all that shiit have a short memory and are out of tune with reality.

Our attackers are off form and we’ve hardly scored twice in a game for the last 4 or 5 matches. But we’ve been pulling through. Yet, you are demanding a win at Anfield.

Like I said many weeks ago, there’s development given the TW we had and the kind of situation we’re in but I’m not going to go overboard. I’m cautiously optimistic.

Not holding brief for Matic/Pogba but we score more goals with McFred primarily because we use them against teams that come out to attack us thereby leaving space behind. Correlation does not imply causation.

Pogba/Matic on the other hand are used against teams that sit back and park the bus across their box limiting space and making life difficult for our attackers.

If you use McFred consistently against teams that sit back you will understand how limited their passing is compared to Matic/Pogba.

This game will be won and lost on the flanks anyway. It is all about Mane, Salah, TAA, Robertson vs AWB, Shaw, Rashford, and Mr X (our other wide forward).

Playing mcfred will make us limited in attack as those two can't even hold the ball and look for the right pass, that will suit Liverpool well as they would only care about the main threats, rashford and martial /cavani, that is if the 4222 formation is applied. Mcfred only makes us more conservative and limited in attack,They WOULD NEVER DOMINATE AN INFORM TOP TEAM MIDFIELD.

James can take care of robbo
Rashford for TAA

Liverpool are there for the taking, we should ATTACK.

3-5-2 is a no-no, mostly because of AWB's brainfart and it also limits our attacking options.




That midfield will not work and here's why:

Fred alone cannot be tasked with building up play and also marking. We will be conceding numerous chances to counters because of his penchant for jumping into tackles (and getting dribbled) high up the pitch instead of slowing down attacks. He always needs another midfielder to be behind him in those occasions, and it's not Pogba. Pogba is getting fitter and stronger but he's not a DM.

A midfield duo of Fred and Pogba is not ideal- it doesn't matter if Bruno is part of the midfield trio: he's more suitable as an AM and plays CM rarely.

And why start the trio of misfiring attackers (who won't cover well for the full backs) and back them with that porous midfield?

The 4-3-3 you listed is a good formation but not with the personnel you suggested. Remove Pogba for McTom and we'll be more covered in midfield but our attack will be quite limited.

I think that 4-2-2-2 I suggested earlier is more balanced. McFred- Pogba, Bruno- Rashford and another attacker (will prefer Cavani or Martial). Greenwood can be a sub.

Note that the 4-2-2-2 formation has 4 players in midfield BUT it is not a diamond (4-1-2-1-2) formation. McFred can provide cover for the back 4 and fullbacks while Pogba and Bruno create goals chances but also defend (centrally ) where needed. The forwards have to be fast and direct.

It was a dead ass stinker. Pogba ran the entire show. When was Bruno last good game? This is how he plays typically most games like against Burnley but Only no penalty or side way pass to get an assist yesterday.

Really massive win. Pogba was excellent. Really hope our forwards get it together. They looked very poor and lacking in confidence. Martial in particular. Although I hope the injury isnt too bad. We can play Cavani up top and Rashford from the left against Liverpool.

Ole has done really well so far. Cant complain too much. Hopefully the team can keep it up. Some real challenges ahead.

Our attackers and midfielders could have done more to pressure City's defence into making mistakes. We really need that coordinated press with everyone stepping up. Staying back will just give them time on the ball to plan their moves though we handled that fairly today.

In our game against lfc, the team has to put that pressure on their defence

Except that Ole will be tempted to play James in a bid to stop Robertson but you and I know James is shit so, Robertson will care less about him and just bomb forward whenever the opportunity presents itself...Our best bet to keep Robertson pegged back is to start Rashford out on the right even the temptation to have him out on the left against Trent is there...

Those are no excuses but facts. Crystal Palace has been in the league for years and has better players. Yesterday, the commentator announced that the last time Tottenham played Leeds was 7 years ago thanks to a CUP competition. Meaning the last time Tottenham played Leeds in the league, Nicki Minaj hasnt even considered music probably.


And you want such a team languishing in the ruins of the League One and Championship to sudeddnly become a Liverpool simply because Bielsa is their coach. Pep with all his titles had to sell off major old legs in Citeh and buy quality players before he'd win a title. No matter how good a coach is, he still needs some certain quality players to excel.

If Ole was that good, how come he relegated Cardiff? He'd have turned to Ferguson and win titles with them then. Ole wouldn't have achieved promotion playing wonderful football like Bielsa did in such a short period with Leeds.
