Barbiturate: Anyone around askamaya ikota? This rider I dropped at Dmatel did a transfer of 4k since morning. I've not seen it till now. He said he has not been debited though and he can't do another transfer. Now he's saying I can come to the hotel and collect cash. No one around that side? Just called him again now, he said he would add 2k for my fuel. I can't go. I'm at stadium Surulere. Anyone that will go this evening, will get the 2k and transfer 4k to me. |

I wish they continue charging nonsense like this, nonsense good sometimes ooo. In fact there is sense in every nonsense. Don't mind them! Indriver don dey make dem feel like say bolt dey expensive. I delivered cake today, from bode Thomas Surulere to Magodo. The money came to 4k, bolt to compensate 5h. So rider should pay 3500. This lady started complaining bitterly that it's too high and that she would report me to bolt, that I've done something to the price. That the last time Indriver delivered to her, it was about 1500 or so. I just jejely told her; madam, you have the right to report, but you will have to pay me my 3500, I displayed it for you to see. Collected my money and left. Me wey dey vex say I no see person carry from Indriver go that side |

Mercychen: Every one will marry when they feel like it. No mercy! It doesn't work that way! Age really counts for mostly women. You really don't want to attain menopause before marriage and it will be very very rare to see a man marry a lady at her late 40's/50's etc! And remember I said, except you have ruled out marriage completely |

Mercychen: The thing with beautiful Ladies like us is, we believe the men will keep coming, so no need to rush as the best is yet to come.
I know of anout 10 guys who came for me, they all ended up with average looking ladies. This is not to say it's right to live with such attitude or mindset but it is what it is. Majority of the beautiful ladies I know, who did what you said above, are still single and have reached menopause. I know one who once told me that she regretted her actions, that she would have just accepted one! I think you should make hay while the Sun shines! At times, you don't get what you want in life.....make do with the one available and just live! Except you've ruled out marriage completely. |

Ghost1994: Have encountered several riders that’ll claim that oga I don’t know when you start your trip with attitude but the best response from my side will be: sir/ma seems you’re carried away with your call/whatever he or she was doing before I started the trip.
I’ll keep my mouth shut till we get to the final destination to avoid any arguments. You're wise and very matured upstairs. I'm sorry sir. You were on call when I started the trip. I started at so so time. Case don finish! I'll say it again; they will give you shit because they feel they are paying for your service......just be humble! Sorry goes a long way! IFSHR: Don't answer question based on sentiment always say the fact. What the guy asked, is if traffic affect pricing and the obvious answer is yes.... Awoyaya to st finbarrs road without surge is always like 4,800 or 5k with normal traffic and yours end at 6k, traffic played its role. Like seriously?? Do you even know the distance? I give up baba! |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 2:20pm On Dec 09, 2021 |
IFSHR: It does increase it....bolt takes into consideration km covered and time spent in calculating the final price, let's stop the misinformation.
If you think the final price of a ride is not accurate, report to bolt and they will recalculate it. sometimes the problem is your phone network, data depletion, and gps inconsistency of your phone.
Traffic increases fare, surge increases fare, paid waiting increases fare, going extra kilometer increases fare, all this I know and I am very sure about. Maybe you're a bolt agent too, I really don't know. They are yet to pay me my balance, since 2weeks. I also picked someone yesterday evening, from Awoyaya to chemist Finbarr's road, with all the mad traffic I encountered, money came to 6k. My phone is very good. My network is also very good. Bolt is really messed up. I beat my chest and say it again and again...they are messed up big time. Uber is the best! |

OmodavidoX: My experience today.
Took a rider to Marriote hotel in Ikeja from shomolu. And from there I picked up another rider which destination was Alausa, Ikeja. But along the way she now ask me to first branch star house. And asked me to wait for her to get something and not end the trip. So I waited for like 15 minutes and all this while I didn’t end the trip. When she was done , we continued the ride to her original destination, at the end of the trip. The fare was 1,200. I was surprised, because I thought it will be higher due to the waiting time and all. Please what could I have done in this situation incase of next time .
Good morning house If they didn't put a stop, then don't accept from the beginning cos it won't count on bolt, but it will on uber. Putting a stop means they will be charged as you wait. Putting a stop means putting all the places they would stop and the final destination, and they can only put the stop before they order the ride. ----------------Modified-------------- See the attached pix to see how it will look like when they put a stop and you wait for them

Dailyparrot: I had a very terrible experience with a rider this evening.
This man ordered me at Makoko community in Yaba area. He was going to the airport When I got there, he came out with a lady carrying two bags. I opened the trunk from inside and they put the bags and closed the trunk.
The man came and sat in front of the car but refused to close the door. He started asking me why I didn't come down to open the trunk for him. That, is he not paying for the trip, that I am not doing him a favour. So many trashes.
I told him that I opened the trunk from inside and I am already seated in the car so? He then said that he will cancel the trip. I told him that with all pleasure, he can cancel it.
The next thing, the man said that I will not take my car out of their estate until I bring his bags out of my car by myself. I came down from the car and he did. When we got to the gate, the estate security men asked me to go outside the gate, I told them that something is wrong with their brain to think that I will leave my car inside their estate and go outside so they will lock me out.
After much back and forth, I just knew the man had home advantage and there's no need dragging further, let me just remove his luggages from my car and move on to other trips.
When I brought his bag out, he started shouting that I have broken things inside the bag with the way I dropped it on the floor. I just entered my car and drove to the gate before those security people opened for me to drive out.
The man was telling me that he left university 35 years ago, that he has a personal driver that he pays 150k monthly. I guess he's use to getting served that he can't differentiate his domestic staff from someone that's there to provide a service and go.
This hustle sha. He was wrong but then most times, the word "sorry" saves a lot of situation. When he refused to lock the door and said you didn't open the trunk or help with their luggage, you would have just said; oh, I'm sorry sir, it was an oversight. I actually opened it from the inside. That would have saved all the stress and talks! Remember you're rendering a service, a lot of people will mess up, but you need to know how to manage them. Nigerians have this "ogarity" mentality when they demand a service which they will pay for! Its the same when you go to a bar and they delay in serving you or they forgot to clean the table or even forgot to give you opener.....you would get upset and talk to the bar man/woman anyhow! The hustle no easy! Rendering a service means you're serving people and making money at the same time. Serve with respect, humility and patience! |

I lol at that ur story with the short guy. It is just the kind of country we find ourselves. Mad drivers every where and the govt is only concerned about money! My cousin in the states, who did uber before going into truck business, told me the process it takes before you can drive on uber or Lyft. You have to pass through some process before you can get a driver's licence, not to talk of the process it takes driving on e-hailing. He said a guy's licence was withdrawn from him cos they found out he had taken some alcohol. He did not hit anybody. He had to sell his truck cos he was banned from driving. Used the money to follow up his case in court. My cousin's friend bought the truck from him at a cheap price. God go help us for this country! Thanks again brother |
