Guys, pls be very careful this festive season. I don't usually work late, but on Friday, I had closed and with a friend at a bar/restaurant. He stood up and said he was going to meet someone (his colleague) so I told him I was going home. I immediately put on the App, then I tried putting destination, but before that, a request came in for civic centre. I picked cos it was on 1.9x. After dropping this guy(about 4k plus) another request came, going towards Yaba. The location showed civic centre but she said she was at sandfield. When I got there, she came, entered the car and said she was waiting for her colleagues. Few minutes later, I saw 3 hefty guys with very aggressive and strong face approaching my car. I asked if they were the colleagues she was waiting for and she said yes. I wasn't comfortable with those faces, so I drove off! She was shouting that I should stop. Immediately I got to the next bus stop, told her to come down. She insisted I would have to turn back and pick them. I didn't make noise. I just got down, put off my car and went to the passenger's side and forcefully pulled her out of my car. She was shouting that I want to rape her. After pulling her out. I scared her a bit to move away from my car. Went to the driver's side, started my car and off home.

are there any appropriate areas to drop and pickup passengers in Lagos Island?
Especially on roads like Marina, Broad street, Tinubu square, TBS, UBA etc.?
I usually avoid such areas due to over-vigilant latsma officials.
I have been stopped by them twice for just tapping my phone to accept a request.
But I was lucky, the road ahead was clear each time so I just took off.
But there are times i get mostly requests going to those areas especially when I am in V.I or Ikoyi.
Any tips will be appreciated.

Pls avoid those areas above! I learnt the hard way! I dropped someone at TBS, the BRT terminal side and these hungry looking lastma guys blocked me. If it was just one or two persons, I would have escaped from them. They were about 10 or more. I eventually paid 20k to govt lastma acct and 5k lasdri training. Though I didn't do the training. Just avoid all those area completely. One of the lastma ogas that my DPO guy knows was not reachable all through....so I was told to just pay and get my car out of their compound. This happened last week.

Park at a strategic place. Put car hire sign on top of your car. You will surely get clients.

I saw one Camry 2010 in a 4 star hotel compound, waiting for lodgers. "Car hire" sign was on top of the car.

Go open uber. They are better than bolt.

Better still, use Indriver if uber too don block you

There is a proper way to lay complain.
Be specific with the Pick-up address, Route taken, Stops, if any and specific Drop-off point.
Na u dey find help, make it very easy for ur helper to do that.

Bolt is just too cheap for my liking! In a bid to win the competition and get all Nigerians patronise them massively to the detriment of hard working drivers, they make executive trips too cheap and in the long run, it will affect them. Uber will never charge this low!

Anyways, just report to bolt. It's not as if they will do anything!

They give bonuses to riders and at the end, they use abracadabra to give you back. Riders refuse to pay, you complain to bolt, they tell you they will compensate. Wey the money? Kpele! Was it on surge? If you must do very long distance, make sure it's on surge. Secondly, that changing of destination doesn't give correct amount on Bolt. Tell the person you want to end trip and make them reorder. But if it's on better surge like 1.9x or a bit less, don't end it.

Yesterday I picked this guy from Anthony, he's going to MMA2 but he said I'll go to Magodo estate and pick someone before we move to airport. I told him to change destination to Magodo, he refused and insisted it will count. Because it was on 1,3x, I decided to go. After every, we got to airport, trip came to 1700. I weak! The guy sef surprise. He just gave me 2k.
Bolt is damn too cheap for riders, that's why I prefer Uber. But I'm not on Uber

Check all your oil seal and valve seal and also check the edge of the sump.

I don't hustle on Sunday. I have done the catalyst and I also changed the oxygen sensor. The car sounds better now. At least let me know I won't spend on that again.
