Congratulations!!! Please did you write the 4 papers in one day and do you have materials to share?

Cryptomania:
Celebrating small wins.

On the quest of increasing my CRS scores, I started the CIMA journey few months ago. I weighed my options then between BCS and CIMA and I found that CIMA would be the fastest, but it came with a price, "Hard work and total dedication". I just passed the certificate level (BA1 - BA4) and will start with the evaluation this week. It took me approximately four months to complete. Preparing for my IELTS now.

Whatever you need to increase your score, JustDoIt.

Las las, all road leads to Maple land.

@DadR and @drizzy,

You can actually write the CSC exam in Lagos. I contacted them in December last year about it. See the email response

DPizzy:

I believe you could study for the exam prior to landing, but you can only write the exam in Canada as of now.

Please when are the exams written in Lagos?

Register with CIMA online. Look for a cima tuition centre nearest to you. The exams is on demand. Whenever you are ready.

Please consider all options given very well so you don't get married just to avoid AVO. There's no guarantee that your file won't end up there.

No!

Atk1nson:
Pls I need clarification on this. I have a degree in Industrial chemistry, ICAN certification and about 4years experience working in an accounting firm.

Can the difference between my university degree and experience constitute an issue for skilled worker application?

A minimum of one year is required. You need to be able to provide work reference for the occupation that you are claiming experience for. Check here for the requirements for Saskatchewan https://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/immigrating-to-saskatchewan/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program/applicants-international-skilled-workers/sinp-in-demand-occupation-list

Please take time to check out the various provinces for what works best for you.

maigemuu:

What is the minimum work experience required...is it compulsory to be certified?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by barbz06: 4:42pm On Nov 26, 2018
With his knowledge of French he can write the TEF exams along with IELTS to get high scores. Also, software engineers falls within the occupations in demand for Saskatchewan and some other provinces but does he have the relevant work experience.

Best option is to check out all the provinces.

maigemuu:
I am new here:

I have a question. Any hope for someone in his forties to reloMOVE to Canada? The person has a master and has learnt a skill in software engineering.... Any way to relocate with the family. He has good knowledge of French language...

There are currently over 94,000 people in the pool, the number of people in the pool as at 8 November shows that roughly 10k people have between 431 - 450. How did you come up with the info that 50% of the pool (about 47k) have a score of 440 -442

wasseynewest:
Forecast!!
Judging from my li2 research now. I observed the two draws in Dec. since 2015 have come on Dec.20th , Dec22nd & Dec.18th.
Going by this, like a Nlander earlier suggested, we are most likely to have another draw next wk or Monday 26th. Reason been that, certainly, 2 draws must hold in Dec. and they must come on or before Dec.25th(Festive period tinz).
Now to my point, there might not be much influx into the pool from IELTS takers as the only result that will be released during this period will be from the recently concluded Nov.10th exam, which is the only likely result that will meet the 2nd draw in this Nov., going by the fact that draws are held at 2wks intervals(maxing next draw to be 28th). This way, we should have limited Pre-ITA enrollee in the pool, most especially as all our Oga's with high marks for pool has all been blessed with ITA this week and since left the pool for us(smiles).
Consequently, there should be room for our colleagues with CRS score of 440-442(I so pray) 'cos I see this unfolding permutation as the juicest opportunity for them.
In addition, those in this category should PRAY HARDER from now while I urge the rest amongst us with higher CRS and ITA grabbers+awaiting PPR's to please join us in the Prayer.
Truth is, more than 50% of people in the pool falls into this range(440-442) and awaits Miracle again this year. As the trend for next year seem to be shooting higher.
Conclusively, while we remember our Post ITA Nlanders in prayer for speedy PR, they should in turn remember those in the category above in theirs too, that way we'll be doing ourselves divine favours.
Hmm.....i know my people at 435-439 are thinking I don't factor them in at all. My thoughts are with you guys too for that uncommon MIRACLE. Meanwhile, pls endeavour to go the PNP route also as an option pls.

Thanks all!

A colleague of mine received hers at home (by post) about 2 -3 weeks after the result was released. You should be able to get a family member preferable same surname to collect on your behalf. The person may need a letter of authority and photocopy of your passport.

Changes/Edits can only be made to eligible profiles.

mcstan18:

I do not think you need to create a new profile since you have been assessed as eligible before the erroneous edit. Kindly correct the mistake you made with the NOC (if you can) and resubmit if that was what changed your eligibility status. You should be fine afterwards. If you can't effect the correction, then you might have to create a new profile

2. Am I also going to indicate that I in the new profile that I have applied before?
3. Can I use my existing GCkey?

Hello e-family. smiley

Thanks for helping me clarify which job designation I should settle for. I would appreciate if I could get assistance on which NOC this JD as a Compliance Officer goes with:

-Ensuring that Compliance requirements are fulfilled in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures;

-Pro-address relevant issues concerning compliance in order to keep the approach, tools and skills of the Bank’s Compliance Function up to date;

-Identification of risks, areas of improvement (checklists, working papers, processes and procedures etc.), efficiencies and synergies and make appropriate recommendations to Chief Risk/Compliance officer and Management compliance committee. Immediately notify the team lead when unacceptable risk is identified and propose an appropriate solution;

-Carrying out investigations or ad hoc reviews at the request of senior management;

-Working closely with other control groups such as legal, risk management, audit and business supervisory functions to ensure coverage is comprehensive and consistent and that issues are appropriately addressed on a timely basis;

-Collaborate and cooperate with other departments to ensure professional responsibilities are fulfilled in an efficient manner, with due regard for the activities of those departments;

-Working with the Compliance testing team and Internal Audit to identify emerging risk areas and recommending ad hoc testing as necessary;

-Assist with the issuing of reports concerning Compliance Assignments within the set deadlines. Therefore write parts of the report to an increasing extent independently, according to quality standards of the Compliance Function and within the set time-limits.

-Differentiate high risk issues among compliance check findings;

-Systematically and logically analyse information;

-Develop an understanding of internal controls and related risk relevant for the bank and as a consequence a thorough understanding of the work to be performed;

-Maintaining record retention procedures for printed forms.

Many thanks. Kindly help @Newmum0615 @40manlappy @Glitteringstar
