Career / Care To Ask What Life Is All About? by bare1(m): 3:50pm On Sep 16, 2015
Often times in life, we come to a point where everything in life seems confusing especially when we're up against some form of setback. We are faced with issues and need answers to our questions. It can be frustrating when we cannot find those answers. At such times we just ponder and wonder what life is exactly about. I've been there so I know how it feels.

Anyway, I have set up a program to help salvage problems like this from the root cause. The benefits are helping you discover your definite major purpose, helping you learn to set goals and achieve them in your workplace or whatever the nature of the goal and ultimately giving you an achievers mindset to take you to success in all endeavours.

If you seek to find your definite purpose and start to change the way you think and live the life you desire, then this is for you. Send me a text right away.

Cheers!

Many people we come across these days find themselves not living the life they desire, some acknowledge this while others are not quite conscious enough to regard this. The reason for this feeling is not far-fetched. In life just like in any journey, you cannot get to your destination if you don't know where it is. You can only live the life you desire when you know what it is you want and then seek for how to get it. You need to have a destination in mind and plan before making a trip.

In regards to that I've set up a program to help people discover their definite major purpose and how they can achieve it through goal setting and reaching. I believe a couple of people here have had a little insight into this but there is more on that front. For those that seek to really achieve their personal development and receive all the rewards of it, you can benefit from this program. Just send me a text and we take it from there.

Cheers!

Good morning sir. Thanks for this timely message. Oftentimes we're too burdened by what we desire to achieve and accomplish that we lose sight of the ones we already have and become very ungrateful.

It's now our gratitude that determines our attitude. Today, I'm grateful for my ife and health. I'm grateful to my workplace and career, and I'm grateful to God for directing my paths toward personal development and growth.

I'm grateful for everything.

Good morning bro. Gratitude helps us appreciate ourselves more and appreciate the grace of God. With an attitude of gratitude, you're in a good place to work on goals with the right frame of mind thereby attracting more to you.

I hope all others on this thread are progressing with their development. Personal development is not only about motivational quotes and articles, it's mainly about doing and becoming. The words are only reinforcements.

Maybe my perception of personal development is deep but if you look at the rut in the society and the strength of its influence on the mind, then you know your development has to be deep. A thing or person can only do either of 2 things to you, make you better or leave you worse off. So be aware that it you're not growing, you're diminishing.

Gratitude is a very important virtue of life. The more you are grateful, the more you receive that which you are grateful for. I'm grateful for my sister who just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. I'm grateful for accomplished goals and more goal setting. I'm grateful for going a step further with my career. What are you grateful for?

Money is the icing, not the cake
'Inspirational messages to refresh the spirit and boost the emotional bank account'

Money is the icing, not the cake
Despite the advice of preachers and philosophers warning us of the shortcomings of money, it's hard to argue with Gertrude Stein's observation - I've been rich and I've been poor. Rich is better.'
Although money is better at reducing suffering caused by poverty and relieving anxiety caused by debt than it is at making us happy, it can buy lots of things that make us feel good and important.
But wealth is not a certain road to happiness. A poor person with good relationships is much more likely to be happy than a rich person with lousy ones. And people who earn moderate wages, but love their work, are much more likely to be happy than those who earn a lot but hate what they do.
It's easy to expect too much from money. Rich people have different problems than the non-rich, but they do have problems. Many are related to wealth, including shallow relationships, spoiled children and continuous pressure from relatives and friends who expect a handout. Rich people, as a whole, are not more content or emotionally satisfied than others, and neither are their kids.
The problem is that people preoccupied with money are never satisfied. Often, their desires and debts grow faster than their means. The more they have, the more they think they need.
There's nothing inherently wrong with material wealth or its pursuit, but there is a danger of paying too much to get it. As Rousseau said, 'The money you have gives you freedom, but the money you pursue enslaves you.'
We shouldn't disdain money, but we should put its value in perspective.
The moral - Focus first on forming deep and enduring relationships and finding work that makes you fulfilled. At best, money is the icing, not the cake.
Written by Michael Josephson

Money is matter, a neutral one that's either good or bad according to the one that possesses it. To be happy, attach your life to goals and not things. As you accomplish more and more goals, your reward money will flow to you. You can either have lots of money to buy the things you like and help people too or you can have it and lavish it on luxuries.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: A Definite Major Purpose Makes The Difference - Personal Development by bare1(m): 3:30pm On Sep 15, 2015
I continue to speak on finding a definite major purpose for life because this is the bedrock of success attainment of any individual and such the key to the growth of the society, for the collective work of more individuals of purpose can only mean the attainment of the purpose of society. It is only for a lack of purpose that a person could be doing things that obviously do not lead to anywhere beneficial. It is for a lack of purpose that people would blindly follow leaders without stopping to think and assess if that leader is on a right path. There are good and bad leaders, and while a good leader seeks to help you be a better person, a bad leader does not consider others and as such lead them to destruction.

There are many more detriments of a lack of purpose but I would rather focus on its essence. With a definite major purpose, it becomes clear to you where you are heading in life and so rather than fade away with the teeming population of people that just roam through life without a dream or plan to better their lives and acquire wealth, you would be focused on setting and reaching goals that take you closer to your destination. With a definite major purpose, you are bound to live a happy and successful, the life you truly desire.

We all have a purpose in life and also responsibilities to fulfill, but many suffer because they are not aware of this and become more selfish which leads only them and none other to doom, for when you know your purpose then you understand the relevance of others to your life and the essence of life itself. That is one thing successful people know and are totally exploiting it to grow richer.

My advice to all is to relax a moment from all you see around you - most are only illusions - and take time to rethink and reprioritise your life. If you are not living the life you desire then something is definitely wrong.

If you seek support to get your life in order, finding your definite major purpose and heading to that life of happiness, success, wealth and abundance that you desire, I am willing to assist you. Just drop me a message in my inbox or send a text and we will take it from there.

I don't know why I am not a fan of all these motivational books.

Motivational books don't appeal to many people because naturally we don't fancy the things that make us better. Just like as people would choose sugar over having coffee/tea without it. Just like people would choose to relax than to work. The things we need most always seem difficult like love but they have a greater essence than anything material. Wealthy and successful people understand these things and that's why the poor are more in number. Honestly you can't achieve much in life without motivation.

Seriously, it needs addressing. Any suggestions?

Well usually procrastination emerges mostly from a fear of criticism. Somewhere in the depths of your mind you might wonder at what people would think or how they might accept if they would what you offer them. Other fears might have an effect on your indecision not to do the things you want but to become an adept decision maker, you have to see failure as a sharpener for your pencil. What could possibly go wrong if you go ahead despite your fear? Nothing but I'll tell you what could go right, lots of people would benefit from that piece of information whether it's good or bad. It's their duty to analyse it first.

Stephen Covey's book is a leadership classic; a personal development gem and a motivational classic. I first read academically many years ago, sometime around 2008. When I last read it last year within the context of personal development, I shuddered.

And this evening I read a little bit on emotional intelligence and the subtopic of self awareness came up. Till we are able to understand how we feel and why we behave the way we do, we cannot effectively manage ourselves and others; we simply can't be good leaders.

A few weeks ago I had determined to share here one habit from the boom daily but for reasons best unknown to me I perished the thought, and boom! you're here with the same book. That's how nature works.

Have you noticed how often you think about doing something and then end up not doing it? Don't you think there's a problem with that which needs addressing. I've observed it a couple of times now and had to point it out to you.

Anytime we think the problem is 'out there' that thought is the problem.
We empower whats out there to control us. We are not our feelings, we are not our moods and we are not even our thoughts. The very fact that we can think about our thought and how it process separates us from from the animal world. This ability to think is called self awareness. Self awareness enables us to stand apart and examine even the way we 'see'. It affects not only our attitudes and behaviours, but also how wee see other people.
Until we take how we see ourselves and how we see others into account, we will be able to understand how others see and feel about themselves and their world. Unaware, we will project our intentions on their behaviour and call ourselves objectives.
This significantly limits our personal potential and our ability to relate to others as well. But because of the unique human capacity of self Awareness, we can examine our"paradigm" whether they are reality or principle based or if they are a function of conditioning or conditons....... Culled from Seven habits of highly effective people my best book so far.

Most things we see in the society are only illusions. The things that matter goes on within. Nothing ever is as it seems to be until it is labeled in our minds and fed to the voice within. The idea is to control this through self-awareness and conscious thinking.

Shattering The Grand Illusion: The Power Of Human Thought
by Teresa L. DeCicco, PhD.

Have you ever noticed the voice in your head that doesn’t stop talking? It’s busy judging people and things, forming opinions, and commenting on everything that happens. It keeps nattering about things that happened in the past or might happen in the future. In fact, we all have this inner voice in our heads, whether we are conscious of it or not.

When life is lived with little or no awareness of the “voice in the head” it becomes completely driven by this voice. Eventually you can believe that the voice in the head is who you are. You may believe you’re the one who’s talking and having a say about everything, but perhaps this is not so. What if the voice in your head is not actually generating your own thoughts?

The mind produces an entire life of its own by keeping stories alive over and over again. It plays out scenarios and keeps them thriving by adding emotion. In turn, what keeps the mind going is the concept of “I,” and this “I” has things to do. In fact, every event in the physical world is neutral until the mind attaches its own meaning to it. A man loses his job and this is either the most devastating thing that happens to him or the most fortunate, because it becomes his ticket to a new life. A relationship ends and it is considered crippling or it is understood as empowering. The voice in the head will concoct numerous stories about events, and usually they’re rooted in stories heard in childhood, from the media, or other sources. My mother and her mother and her mother before her believed something so now I believe it too. The news perpetuates something so it must be true. On and on the mind goes spinning its web.

We Believe The Voice In Our Head Is Us

Eventually, the voice in the head becomes so powerful we believe it’s who we are. We believe it’s OUR voice speaking to us. From here, the next step in the cycle is perpetuated when we become invested in this sense of self, which we define as “I.” This “I” wants to survive at all costs. It wants to win, to be better than, to be recognized and to be acknowledged. So herein lies the crux of the grand illusion. This “I” is an egoic identity concerned with matters of the world and believes them all to be real when in fact, it’s making it all up.

When you identify with your thoughts you make them real and this triggers impulses and desires which makes them real too. If you think of a lemon you will quickly find your mouth watering at the very thought. It’s exactly the same with everyday matters; as the mind focuses on thoughts, they feel real, and identity or “I” becomes enmeshed with them. The mind believes everything it thinks with the voice in the head.

So when we recognize the voice and begin stopping it, a new reality emerges. By catching the voice before it runs rampant with thoughts or meditating to settle it down, we wake up to a new life. The great reality is that life is a force in and of itself and this force is in everything; material things are not what they seem. They only have meaning and importance when granted these attributes by the voice in the head. Life is simply experiencing itself through our eyes and hands. The mind is part of something much larger than what the “I” likes to think it is. So the separate, limited you is a dream. It’s being created by a part of the mind that wants to have a say. The “I” or egoic identity can be disregarded at any moment if the thinker decides to discard it.

Take Back Your Power

When you decide to stop the little voice from speaking, you realize that you are pure life force. You become aware that there is thought and aware that you have emotions. You also become aware of your body but that the body is not you. You are aware that there is a sense perception within you and aware of any egoic behaviour and attachments within yourself. At this moment, you have shattered the grand illusion that so many humans live by. There is a world within the world – one world is that of pure perception and the other is created by attaching thoughts to things by the voice in the head.

Once the voice is recognized for what it is, you come to know that you are spacial awareness within which it all happens. You are actually not a “person” at all, but a field of pure awareness, pure consciousness. It’s this that is experiencing life through you. It’s this that is life and will never die because the world is simply a manifestation of the life force happening through you.

So the grand illusion that death is real is also shattered when we wake from the dream. The truth is unveiled as the life force running through all things comes to know itself for the first time. Everything created by egoic mind, whether it be war, death, illness, corruption, or wealth are all manifestations of a mind cut off from its true nature. Masses of minds can join together and create larger illusions based on groupthink. Alternatively, we can all wake up and realize what we are creating and instead make something new, or at the very least, not participate in what is being created. When the world and its illusions are simply being observed and the egoic mind slowly dwindles away, the reality of life comes to be known – a reality that is more powerful and infinite than any little voice in the head could possibly create.

I always knew there was more to life than those 9 stages of growth you enumerated above. I was always scared of just living anyhow.

Somehow, through motivational speaking and uplifting the souls of many, I've found a purpose that transcends mere monetary value. I'm like a fish in its natural habitat.

I also am grateful to see the inputs from bare1. I simply smile at my ignorance whenever I read his coherent and well written messages. You're a writer brother

Thank you brother and thank God for His grace. We all still lack so much information but for the severity of the word we are not ignorant, we only have not had access to some knowledge while deliberately being oblivious to many useless ones.

I can't help but look back at a time when I would just read comments and pass up on adding anything but as I've come to start understanding the purpose of life and loving what I do, I see responsibilities I cannot pass up on. Like I always say, when you start to develop you start to see need to help others, just like when you start to love others from starting to love yourself.

Mystiq07:
What is plaguing our youths today is not unemployment smiley no that is just a fruit from a huge TREE....We youths were supposed to learn from the previous generations before us.

"A wise man learns from other people's experiences to avoid walking the same paths" Many youths today never broke out of the cage placed by society and the values.. They came to this world and became slaves of society and that which was proposed to us, shaped us put us in this state... "The 9stages of life" - Birth- School- Get a job-Hustle to buy a car and build a house-Get married and have children - Foot bills- Get old - Regretting all your lost potentials-Die

Let me give an example...You grew up with either ur parents or institutions or exposure telling you if you have to make it, this is a way "so they carved out the system for you called school" Now is this wrong? No! ... But What they failed to do was to educate you the true essence of school, hence the failure formed a Rat race mindset many people find themselves in today.

Most of us have been one dimensional all our lives, from the day of inception to primary. Secondary... University(and the likes) and now out into wat society termed (Job market). What did we expect it's a marketplace afterall (dat means it's not defined...a trade Center.. A value System... If u don't meet the requirements u can't trade! ...

Unfortunately, these requirements go beyond wat has been termed school... Employers are looking for assets (what skills have you acquired character wise, intellectual wise and also capability wise) all these go beyond school no one wants a liability... Let me ask this question and sincerly answer yourself Knowing yourself if you are the owner of a COMPANY WILL YOU EMPLOY YOURSELF?What can u bring to the table? .... Wat asset do u have? ... Wat gives u d confidence that today if that company wants to lay off staffs your name wont be on that list? Most youths today are sell outs they lack character, lack discipline also intergrity wise, (they bend the rules at any given opportunity) also in terms of excellence.

What are you doing to improve yourself? ... Wat books are you reading? .. . Are you taking a new course to give u that edge career wise? How do u comport yourself? Most of these things are not learnt in school. They are built by oneself with a drive to succeed. Lets take a look at successful people in the world today do you think they became successful by waking up.. Eating... Chating away... Complaining about the government... And doing absolutely nothing waiting for that which you think the government owes you No! go read success stories none of these people followed this path we were taught by society. There is something wrong somewhere. ..These people broke out of the mentality given to them by society, moving against the wind!! ( do u know how hard that can be? Think about that for a second ) yes! exactly that's the path to success.

There is a saying "Show the poor man how the Rich became rich and the poor man will choose to remain poor"...I broke out of these society mindset in my 200l when I was in school at that time I ws already thinking impact... Preserving Posterity... Touching the World globally... I invested in books sometimes went hungry just to acquire a particular book...building up myself with God's help and prayer too because I knew were I was going and was determined to get there. YES! I already knew that which is my purpose in life so I was focused (another major fruit from that tree). Most people don't know their purpose so they live a trial and error life because true fulfilment comes only from fulfilling your God giving purpose. Éven If u secure that job if it isn't ur purpose u will soon become weary.

Stop! Pause! And Think! What do u want to make out of this life? Will you remain one pegged by the society or will you break out of that cage and fashion something out of yourself? You need to go to the Job section on Nairaland and see the cast down mentality of Nigerians.... Complaining.. Blaming the government... All These are statement of failures(pls no insults intented) Noone owes you nothing! I personally decided not to visit the jobs section because the mindset of lack can influence me! Nairaland in general... You See youths wasting away their time! This forum was someone's vision if he was wasting away chatting and playing I am sure he would have been among the youths out there crying for help! Start taking responsibility... think outside the box...

No Job yet? Good did you seek God's help? Have you thought to yourself what can I do with my hands? And wat is your strategy? This no capital story is just an excuse... Have you at least written that which you want to do in a book and draw out an adequate plan? When you are not even faithful in that how will you effectively run a business? Doing trial and error? There are jobs out there. wat is a job? (meeting a need and being paid for it) look around you that thing lacking in your community is a business in disguise...

"A young man once met a great man he looked up to and asked to be taught how to be successful... The great man smiled and took him to the swimming pool and dipped d young man's head into the pool.... The young man was fighting for his breath... And just a second before he passed out the great man pulled him up. The young man could hardly breathe he was gasping for air...When He caught his breath he looked sternly at his mentor... His mentor smiled and said when your desire to breathe matches your desire to succeed then you will be successful!... smiley

You cant stay in ur comfort zone and expect things no! The last generation has created their own success stories(Great people who made legacy) it is the turn of our generation... And the sad truth is that most people will recycle the failures of past generations! Think Impact! BREAK OUT TODAY and PRESERVE POSTERITY! HAPPY sunday thanks dearpreye your threads are the only reason I come to nairaland.... smiley

Those are great points you've stated, I'm glad to see more people understanding these issues and that means more people to change the world for those that would serve a purpose. I agree with you totally on the negative influence of nairaland on development and that's why I'm barely here myself unless I've got something beneficial to post - that and this thread is what has been bringing me here. If only a personal development section was available, it would be easier to stick to just one section of the forum. Truth be told, you cannot keep negativity and positivity at once, it's one for the other or you would never grow. For a person who takes personal development seriously and wants to achieve it, the kind of things you discuss and create thoughts of matters a lot as thoughts become things, hence the need for the right environment and influences.

Great words again ma'am. However, you should put in effort to edit your words and make them more readable. It's hard enough for many to read these days, let alone when it gets harder. As a writer I'll stress the importance of appropriate punctuations. Rather than write without editing, leave the writing until you have time to. Bad writing alone disqualifies the authority of a speaker.
Thanks and God bless.

Good morning brother. I had a great night, trust you did the same. Thank you for the privilege. I am most obliged to drop my favourite from the Holy Bible because it speaks of the essence of this thread.

Romans 12:2 -
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Psalms 118:24 -
This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Happy Sunday to you all!!!

Wow it's been quite a while I last came here, these lovely comments make me realise I missed quite a few. I've been busy and had to take some time to myself to work on stuff. Coincidentally, the work I have been busy with is related to this subject in a way. This subject surely is a critical one and should be treated as such. Honestly I do not blame those who want to regret the time spent in the university. Personally, if I knew half of what I know now from life experience earlier, one thing is certain that I would have not gone to waste time in the university. Gradually education is losing its relevance especially here where the quality is so bad and needs an overhauling. If you ask me, the university is not meant for everyone and if efforts were made to develop children, many of them would not have to go to school thereby creating more space for more quantitative and qualitative education for those relevant studies as well as decongest the largely populated campuses.

I like the statement 'If you want to be rich and happy, don't go to school' because it is the plain truth. Schools do not teach about money. It teaches how to earn a living, not how to make a fortune. It teaches what to think and not how to think. If school was so great, how come so many who have passed through just struggle to have just enough while some don't. Even the professors that have the highest academic qualifications cannot entirely boast to be rich and wealthy but for only a couple of them. But then individuals have their desires as to the kind of life they want to live and that brings me to a favourite subject of mine which is creating the life you desire.

I hear some people say they don't want too much, that as long as a have a good job, a nice house and stuff like that, they are okay. However I see this to be absolute crap. Let them come across wealth and let's see if they would reject it. Nobody detests the good life, and even those who are downright humble would still not reject wealth, instead they would use it to provide for those not privileged. Show me a person that is okay with just a little and I will tell you he doesn't know how to get more than that or is simply lazy to take action to do so. This is one big problem that has paralysed people's ability to live the life they truly desire. So many people have to go through school studying courses they don't like and just have to manage, to work jobs they equally do not like just to survive through life. They see going to school, getting good grades to get a good job as the way out to get job security, but they do not realise no job is secure. Companies are laying off people here and there and making it hard for them to get other jobs. Even if they had a good job, do they intend to work all their lives? They would have to retire someday and when they do is when you realise how many people wasted their lives. I have come across people who went into retirement with nothing to show for all their years of work all because they never did useful thinking and planning of their lives. Even though many others too live comfortably working their way up the ladder, there are a lot more not doing so and that's why to be rich and happy, you have nothing to do with school and everything to do with financial education. But before that you need an education of yourself and your connection to the world.

The basic problem behind every other one relating to career, relationship, finances is self development. You need conscious thinking and awareness as to what works and what doesn't, and have to realise the need to change all you have been doing that's leading to a dead-end. The thing is that out of every 100 people you meet today, only about 5 of them have a definite major purpose in life. Of that 5, only 2 go on to achieve it. When you have a purpose you stand a better chance of wealth and success because you have a destination where you are headed. If you do not know what you want from life, how can you get it. You could only watch as circumstances toss you here and there and give you what you ask of life, while some others get the jobs they want, the relationships they want and the exact life they desire. Personally I had always had an idea of my definite major purpose but couldn't place it, but with so much studying, thinking and meditation I found it and have lived a life of peace and abundance since then. There's so much about this subject that if I do not stop deliberately, I could go on and on.

One of my core values is to see people get better, have mental, spiritual, time and financial freedom and so finding their definite purpose is part of it and that's what I've been working on. Personal development is a full time job for me because I have come to realise there's little more else to do in the vastness and relevance of it. Most of the things we see are just illusions, true wealth lies within and only made manifest physically, so if you take care of your development, your development will take care of you.

Note: For those who seek their definite major purpose and need help doing so, I would be willing to support you. Just let me know.

Greetings!

Have you ever tried to sell an idea to a rich and successful man, or know anyone who tried to and have been rejected even if it was a very brilliant idea? If you have, you might have started to feel unsure about your idea and yourself as such and perhaps eventually gave up on that idea.

Honestly I would say to you that it's not always totally about the idea. You personally, play a great part to the visualisation, acceptance and execution of that idea. You determine the life of that idea being the creator, and if you don't rise up to the occasion, you either see that idea discarded like a piece of trash or see it actualised by someone else. One barrier as to why many people fear to form and present ideas in the first place.

I will tell you how you affect this process so you can analyse it yourself, for this thread is a thread for learning - unfortunately a section for this form of learning, one that proves more important than all other sections on this forum because individual performance is the basis of all else has not been created. I had to snap at a couple of posters who clearly were not here for this purpose and could mislead those of us that seek to learn, for wise men live to learn everyday while the less wiser ones believe they know it all and don't see need for learning. Personally I choose to be a learn it all rather than a know it all. Funny enough they didn't even get the title question in the first place.

Now back to the subject. One thing about successful people is that they think differently. They are critical thinkers who analyse what you expect them to and even more than that. When you hang around them, you can ascertain the level and quality of their thoughts and can only learn to think like them. You present an idea to them, an idea you have all your focus on to be a great idea. While the investor considers this idea to an extent, he is more concerned with if you can pull it off. He is assessing your character and your attitude to setting and achieving goals. From a person's words, you know their thought pattern and mindset, and can easily determine what they are made of. An investor doesn't seek to invest to lose so he doesn't want to invest on an idea that isn't bankable. And what makes an idea bankable? It is the originator and his ability to see it through. One thing is for sure that an investor would not invest in a person without a definite purpose. An investor would not invest in a person that doesn't see or think much of themselves, neither would he invest in an ordinary person - cause there are many of them out there - but would rather invest in someone extraordinary. Any idea can be turned into a big thing with the right attitude, but trust me, without a definite major purpose you would never amount to much in your life.

So tell me, if it were you, what would you rather do? Invest in a person who doesn't know where he's headed in life, or a person who has got a definite major purpose, something to live for, something to spur him on to do great things in this world, living a fulfilled life and glorifying the work of the Creator in his life?

Great post. I can totally relate with the writer. I stopped dating myself, not that I'm not open to it but I think more can come out from mere friendship. Besides we need to work on ourselves first, then we would naturally attract the one we desire. I do miss football manager though smiley

I am certain many would have come across the common advice, "Go to school, study hard, get good grades so you can get a good.....", "Without a university degree you cannot be.....", or the all too ridiculous one, "All rich men go to......"

Most of you can definitely complete each of those statements too easily because they have been programmed into our heads right from childhood up until now and have been the purpose by which we have lived. I would call that nonsense and so would many who choose to be non-sentimental. I love my parents so much, more than anything in the world and that is why I have to tell them they got it wrong in this, so they can still take the chance to correct that thought.

Do not get me wrong, it isn't bad to go to school - even though I doubt the possibility of my kids doing so, unless they choose to be doctors or other medical personnel - but it should depend on what your purpose is. One thing is for sure, if you intend to become rich, school does not guarantee that. A lot of rich and successful people realise this and so induct their children into their businesses right away to get real world experience which is the best form of education.

These days many people go into school to accept whatever course they secure just for the purpose of a degree, to graduate and now be retrained to fit into what is required of them in where they are employed. Now tell me if you would work something totally different from your course of study, couldn't you have just initially trained in that field? Why did you have to waste at least 4 years reading, cramming and writing? That is to show you that the certificate is just a formality that employers request only because they are also caught up in the crazy system. Honestly, the really wise business owners are willing to employ a person without the certificate but the knowledge, rather than the other way round. One insight into the wise and successful entrepreneur's mind I got was when Jack Ma of Alibaba fortune said in employing, he doesn't look for the most qualified, but the most creative. Clearly schools don't teach you to be creative, they only teach what to think.

I could go on - as I haven't even mentioned those that have searched a job for years without luck like a thread I came across about a woman who intends selling her degree on eBay - but I would rather not because you don't require too many words to set off the brain cells to engineer thinking, and when too much is said, sometimes thoughts get lost in so many words. However I would leave this thought. Now is a time to do some serious thinking to reevaluate and reprioritise our lives. What is your definite major purpose? It's not going to school to get good grades, nor is it to get married and bear children. These are means to an end. After them what's next?
You need a rewiring of your mindset, a millionaire mind reconditioning. Money is a neutral device, your mindset is what makes you who you are when in possession of it - and positions you to possess it in the first place. You can live an extraordinary life if you choose to. Why be the manager when you can be the owner when even as a manager you are entitled to 10% of your efforts and stop earning when you stop working, but the owner keeps making money even without working and further transfers it to his children when he leaves the Earth.
It's time for our youths to be wise, it's not too late to do so.

If you need support on finding that purpose, I'll be glad to help. You can find my contact in my signature.

God bless.

The greatest setback we possess as humans is the wrong mindset. Those who change the world are those who have the courage to believe they can. Where you are now is not because of the government, family or friends but as a result of you; consider where you are to determine the quality of your thoughts.

"Stay away from negative people, they have a problem for every solution."

We all have mates we grow up with, but by the time we are 65, out of a hundred only about 5% would turn out rich and successful. Out of the other 95%, some would still roam around without a purpose but just a feeling of an unfulfilled life. Some who had the mindset of having children who would take care of them in old age would actually age so quickly with worries when the children they hoped to depend on find themselves battling with life because of a lack of a good education - the kind that even the best schools don't offer. And all these because one man lacked a definite purpose.

Everyone has was created for a purpose but many do not realise, so rather than share in the abundance of the world, they only contribute to it's suffering. Our Creator in all majesty and greatness did not create losers. Animals can roam the earth reproducing over and over again, some for food, others for clothing but man has a greater purpose. I do not need to quote Scripture to state even though it's nice to have a family, we are made for more. However in renewing of our minds from conformity, we can only realise God's will for us. I know most of the great men spoken of in the Bible were rich men, so when you hear a person tell you riches are bad and they would rather live ordinary lives, just know they haven't found their purpose yet. Unlike the popular saying invented by lazy people, "all rich men will go to hell" only if you're evil would you go to hell.

To become a life coach, you need training. Your school is life and your exams are your experiences and how you succeed through self-development. However there are also a few certificate issuing training academies.

Subjects like this hardly catch the public's fancy. Only the few who realise they need to make changes in their life actually go the length to find how they can. The majority who feel secure in their comfort zones just keep scrolling. Unfortunately they pay the price everyday but never realise.

Thank you for penning this down. I felt this as an employee for years and felt it as a businessman when business profits went low. It's so confusing a state to be in. Its called unfulfillment. This does not necessarily mean absence of money. You might have the money but do not know what to invest into.

Now I found the magic.

Absolutely. You might have money and still find yourself in such state. Glad you found a solution. Please do well to help others through it as well. Thank you.

Family / How You Can Keep Your Emotions In Check Through Meditation. by bare1(m): 3:47pm On Aug 28, 2015
Emotions are a vital part of our lives because it stems from one of the two most vital organs of the body and as such has a great influence in our lives. We can all relate with the manner in which positive emotions like love, happiness and faith can elevate and propel us to success. And on the other hand negative emotions like anger, hate, worry and anxiety bring upon us ill health, bad luck and failure.

Therefore learning to control and direct our emotions to positivity is crucial to our growth and development. Self-development can never be successful without being able to produce positive emotions which are relevant to success. The energy we produce and send out to the universe are our emotions. And so if you choose to emit negative energy, guess what you are going to get back? Yes, negative responses. Then you start to wonder why things do not go right. That is the moment you see people going from church to mosque looking for a spiritual solution.

Meditation is one of the ways with which you can control your emotions. It only takes you at least 5 minutes - people who adopt it as a way of life can take up to 30 minutes or more to achieve more - to drown any negative emotions you feel starting to build up within you. Within those 5 minutes you need to calm and empty your mind of all thoughts. You can take full advantage of these 5 minutes by focusing on positive emotions. You can also drift into a world of your own where everything is as you want it to be in your life. Trust me when those 5 minutes are over, you would feel much better and relaxed. For best results, make out time to do this everyday and watch how your life transforms into absolute awesomeness.
