I already got the text since yesterday evening. If the message is real, then it's either:
1. No funds were released as claimed by the government. They only allowed us see our CULs to ease tension.
OR
2. Because of the ongoing strike.

Godly living is good and i strongly encourage it but it does not guarantee your place/stand with God.
Despite Works will be rewarded,Works do not Save at all at all.
It is Christ himself that saves,
the Gospel of Christ is the Power of God Unto salvation.
The preaching of the Cross is the Power of God that saves.
There is a connection holding salvation, faith and works together. We know that salvation is by faith in Jesus. We also attest that faith without work is dead. Salvation is got by faith, sustained by works. If there are no works, the faith becomes dead and salvation is lost.

i dont know where you saw this one.
Saving one from sin is a part of salvation in that it is the base on which one becomes a chilld of God. Works (obedience to God's word) are another part to prove that indeed one has become a child of God. If what one believes in does not go together with the way one lives, then such faith has a loop hole. If care is not taken, it will die b/c there are no works to sustain such faith. If there is no work, there is no faith. If there is no faith, there is no salvation.
Faith (believing in Jesus) without works (obeying God's commands) is DEAD.

two contradicting statements.
God has given every of his children his grace and the Holy Spirit for him to live godly. He gives one the urge or desire to do that which is good and acceptable to Him, but will not force such a person to obey Him. This is why He will judge everyone according to the choices they make on earth. God works in us by creating the hunger or urge or desire to obey Him, but leaves us to choose whether to obey or not. Our choices will be seen in the physical when we act, and thus be judged by them.

then Explain 1John2:1-4 with respect to your post here
Vs.1 The perfect will of God is that his children should not sin. This is the ultimate plan that made Jesus to pay for the sins of man. But, if anyone sins (but not as a lifestyle), such a person is not condemned outrightly by God, but has hope of coming back to God in repentance. This is why Jesus is there as a mediator. If anyone sins and comes back to Jesus, God forgives such a person.
Vs.3 & 4 show that we must obey God's commands in his word to prove that we know God. If not, such a person is a liar and the truth is not in him/her. When one says that he is a christian and does not obey the instructions that God has given in his word, that person is a liar and there is no truth in him.
Vs.5 But whoever keeps (obeys, does) His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
6. He who says (professes, claims) he abides in Him ought himself also to walk (act, do, live) just as He walked (acted, did, lived).
Christianity EtcRe: No Christian Will Be Left Behind On Rapture Day : Parable Of The 10 Virgins by Barnabaseloka(m): 6:43pm On Aug 01, 2015
Jude 4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 John 3:7 Little children let no one deceive you. He who PRACTICES (does, engages in) righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
8. He who sins (continues to live in sin) is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
9. Whoever has been born of God does not sin (live habitually in sin), for His seed remains in him, and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
There is no excuse for any sinful act before God! Believers in Christ have hope of getting eternal life only if they live righteously on earth!

that is where you failed it again.
It is God that secures your salvation.
Read 1John 5:18 in Several translations.
It is God that works in Us to do his pleasure and Good will.
God keeps his own,
we are kept by the Power of God.

God relates with you on the basis of his Son.
It is what Christ has done for you that makes you stand before God.
It's neither conduct nor works.

I strongly encourage personal holiness and good Christian living. But none of those will earn you anything in the Sight of God.
Just like the Old testament folks came with the blood of Bulls and Goats,is the same way we come to God with the perfect sacrifice of Christ.which is eternal.
Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Saving one from sin is one part of salvation, while living a godly life to sustain this salvation is another part of it. God will not do your part for you. Yes, God helps us through his grace and Spirit for us to do his will. Yet, man has been given a choice whether to live godly or not. It is either you live a life that shows that you are a follower of Christ or you lose this salvation.
Answer me this question: Was Paul writing to unbelievers or to believers in Gal.5:19-21?

Thanks for your effort and civility. Pls I am not trying to win an argument nor display knowledge;

Salvation is obtained through a Divine-human partnership; Jesus has fulfilled the Divine but we need to repent and believe with the heart before we can be born of the Spirit.
Else we wont need to preach since after God's part, everybody is saved! As to the Divine part, it is Eternal because God cannot change; but the call to watch arises because man can change not because he was not truly saved but because he remains a free moral agent!

I ,however, will still like to draw your attention to 2 Peter 2 that shows the people in question had escaped the pollutions of the world through Christ:they had been saved!

]2 Peter 2:20,21
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them

Note that Peter uses the same term for the saints he was writing to
2 Peter 1:4
whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Besides, Peter rounds up the epistle by saying:

2 Peter 3:17
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness

Just as it was God's Eternal purpose to give Israel the land (even backed by the promise to Abraham!.) but they did not get it because they did not continue in the faith, all God's promises in the New Covenant are Eternal but we enjoy them on the basis of our faith (this one is not eternal hence the exhortation to HOLD FAST).

Yes the Holy Spirit seals us till the day of redemption however we are warned not to grieve or quench the Spirit.
Thanks bro. for your explanation. A thread like this is not about winning an argument but to protect the weak or gullible christians against this heresy of 'once saved ever saved' message.

Jesus paid for the sins of everyone living on earth once and for all. Anyone who believes is saved i.e God deposits in such a person the power (by the Holy Spirit) to becomre his child in order to live righteously on earth. One believes in Jesus through FAITH (not works). After believing, WORKS are required to keep the faith in Jesus firmly. If one says that he has faith, but no works to prove it, then such faith is dead. Therefore, if there are no works (after believing), then the faith is dead, and hence no salvation.

John the baptist also proved that works follow one's faith in Luke 3:8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance..
9. And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Jesus also said in John 15:6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered, and they gather them and throw them into the fire and they are burned.

God has done His part by giving man salvation. Man has to do his part in protecting that salvation, otherwise, he loses it.

To those who believe in 'once saved ever saved', I need answers to these questions:
1. Was Paul writing to unbelievers or to believers in Gal 5:19-21?
21. Envy, murders and drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who PRACTICE (do, engage in) such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
2. Will believers, such as Ananias and Sapphira, Dermas, Judas Iscariot, etc, who do not hold on to their faith and die going to possess the kingdom of God?
3. Was Jesus serious in warning his followers about hellfire, telling them to take away anything that causes them to sin?
4. What disqualification was Paul talking about in 1 Corinth 9:27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified?

@ jiggaz,

1. does your conceptualization of agree with this:

Titus 2:11-12

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

2. Since Christ was talking to His disciples (not just a carefree group of Israelites) what purpose was the climax of the parable being a call to watch?

3. The marriage is indeed between Christ and His Bride but remember that the Bride includes multitude of men and women hence everyone still has a responsibility to watch and be sober. Else what was the intent of the Apostles' several, inspired warnings to the believers? Eg
2 Peter 2:20,21

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

Hebrews 10:38,39

38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition
; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

and others.
Thanks Bro. I never read this post before quoting Titus 2:11 that you also quoted. The Spirit of God is indeed one!

The same Bible dat was written in Greek before being translated to English. So many people quote the Bible out of Context cos they don't understand the circumstances that led to certain Scriptures in the Bible. I don't blame you sha cos most Mainstream Pentecostal Pastors tell their flocks what to believe by mixing the message of Grace with the Law.

Plz if u don't believe in the message of Grace, there's no problem. I am posting these video messages for Christians who want to be liberated from the old doctrine of Guilt & Condemnation. I am free and liberated and i now know my place in Christ Jesus!!! I now have divine PEACE since i discovered these messages, so i want to share it to others too.

But since u are already stock to your Doctrine of Law, Works & Righteousness by might, PLEASE & PLEASE this message is not for YOU!!
Bro. calm down. I will quote you for the last time. I believe in the work of grace. The questions are: 1. Does grace permit believers in Christ to continue living in sin? Rom.6:1-2
2. What exactly has grace come to do in the life of christians? Titus 2 11. For the GRACE of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
12. teaching us that, denying UNGODLINESS and WORDLY LUSTS, we should live SOBERLY, RIGHTEOUSLY, and GODLY in the present age,
13. looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Everyone will be judged according to his/her works on earth. Those who live righteously will get into heaven, while those who continue living in sin and die in its practice will be lost forever in hellfire.
The truth is a bitter pill to swallow!

Joseph Prince - Jesus have made The Finish Line, Your Starting Post....

Joseph Prince talks of how Jesus' death on the Cross changed everything for Humanity.... There's no condemnation for Those in Christ Jesus!!!!!!
There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. If a christian continues to walk after the flesh, such a person will be condemned on the last day.
2 Corinth.5:10 For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done IN THE BODY, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

Was Paul writing to believers in Christ or to unbelievers in Gal.5:19-21?
19. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
20. Idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
21. Envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like, of which I tell you beforehand, just as I told you in time past, that those who PRACTICE (engage in, do) such things WILL NOT inherit the kingdom of God.

Any teaching or rhema (revelation) that contradicts the scriptures should be discarded, no matter who teaches it.

Joseph prince messages on grace are only good for beginners who are starting to get the message of the cross. However, the more you grow in grace and in the knowledge of the truth, the more critical you become of his sermons...and God helping you, you will see "subtle heresies" in them.

But this "Once saved always saved" is shockingly true. The truth is mind blowing when you SEE it. Not many have eyes to see.
1. My dear, are you saying that christians can live in sin b/c they have been eternally saved?
2. Shall we continue in sin (after we have believed) that grace will abound? Read what grace has come to do in Titus 2:11.
3. Will Jesus not reward everyone according to his/her works during judgement? Those who have lived godly will enter the kingdom of God, while those that continue to live in sin will go to hellfire.
4. Why will God punish those who sin if the way christians live does not matter again, b/c they have been saved eternally?
5. Why would Jesus say that he that continued to the end would be saved? What happens to those that do not hold on till the end?
6. Do you also want me to believe that a christian who dies when engaging in sin will go to heaven?
7. Why did Jesus warn the seven churches in the book of revelation if their works would not be used in judging them?

If the death of Christ is only to save souls without giving them the power to live righteously on earth, then such salvation is not complete.

At the death of Christ on the Cross, Jesus took away our past, present and future sins!!! Unbelievable right? You wont believe it cos our Pastors have been preaching mixed messages, mixing the message of Grace with the Law. The blood of Jesus covers a Believer at all times. And God sees your Born again Spirit, not ur physical body.We are not perfect here on earth until the day of Rapture. When a person gives his life to Christ, the Holy Spirit seals the person's Spirit which is now Perfect until the day of Rapture. So once saved, no amount of sin can penetrate the Spirit. Mind u, the message of Grace doesn't encourage sin, instead it encourage us to see the love of God for us by giving his only son to die for us and also to live a Christ like life. But mind u also, so far u are in dis physical world, u will come short of the glory of God cos we are not perfect. But that doesn't stop ur Spirit man from being perfect since u ve accepted Christ and when the person dies, he will go to heaven. And yes, God doesn't look at our physical body and shortcomings cos our sins have being taken care of on the cross. No amount of our WORKS and RIGHTEOUSNESS will be enough for God cos we are like filthy rags before Him. That's why the death of Christ is so significant than the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden. We are saved not by WORKS but we are saved by our FAITH in Christ Jesus. Through Him, we are made righteous, not by our power, might or works. So dat all Glory returns to God Almighty alone!!!!
1. So christians can engage in sin, being that their spirits have been eternally saved?
2. Do you remeber the passage that says grieve not the Holy Spirit in you?
3. How do we grieve the Holy Spirit if not through sin and disobedience to Him?
4. Do you also remember where Paul says that nothing unrighteous (unclean) will possess the kindom of heaven?
5. So Jesus was joking when he told us to remove that which causes us to sin or end up in hellfire?
6. Have you ever come across in the bible where there is no longer any sacrifice for those who once believed and did not continue to the end?

From all your points, I deduce that christians should continue living in sin b/c works no more count during judgement, right?
Do you remember the passage in 1 John 3 which says that he who sins (continue to live in sin) is of the devil?
Bro. this teaching of 'once saved ever saved' is from the pit of hell.

All these happened before the death of Christ. Jesus had not died then. The message of GRACE started after the death of Christ. Mind you, the message of Grace does not encourage people to sin, instead it encourages us to live a Holy life in Christ cos Jesus conquered death and sin on the cross of Calvary. The death of Christ changed so many things in dis world and there was a great jubilation in heaven the day Christ was raised from the dead. We are the New Creation. Most of those sermons in the Bible were taught before the death of Christ and He was talking to the Jews not us the Gentile Church!!!!
Think on these questions.

1. Even those of Dermas and Ananias and Sapphira did not happen after Jesus died and resurrected?
2. Did Judas Iscariot continue with Christ to the end?
3. So the words Jesus spoke by Himself concerning one taking away what causes one to sin so as not to land in hellfire not relevant to christians today?
4. Who will Jesus answer 'I never knew you on the last day?'
5. So a christian who has put his hand on the plow (believed in Jesus) and looks back (still lives in sin) will get into heaven when he dies?
Answer this one.
6. Will one who has been saved, yet engages and dies in the practice of sexual immorality or any other sin going to make heaven?

Who told you pastors live in luxury at the expenses of their members or that they make money from church offerings? Haven't you seen pastors having businesses of theirs? It's in the bible to bring offerings unto the Lord... Psalms 96:8 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts....If the so-called members who are suffering and smiling and still giving offerings in church think the pastor is cheating them by collecting their money, let them go and settle with the scripture!
I understand what you have written. I still maintain that pastors should not live on the money that enters the church. Such money is strictly to run the church. Let them go and find what to do, aside church work, in order to fend for themselves and their families. Have they worked more than Paul and others who engaged in works that gave them money, yet doing the work of God?

I am not against anyone giving money in the church. Give and it shall be given unto you. I am only talking to 'pastors' that have this conception that God called them to work in the church only, getting their source of livelihood from the money that enters the church. If one who works in the church is to be paid, then all workers in the church should be paid. These pastors need to go out and work so as to get money to also support the church and the needy as Paul and others did. If not, as Peter said, such people will be burden to the church.
