Iwobi should take a cue from Victor Moses, he can do more and should do more. The Ola Aina we are all praising today was never like this before, he simply did more
Iwobi dropped a stinker last night. The team was carrying him like a passenger.
Thankfully, we had only 1 passenger, if we had 2 passengers, SA wins the game by 2goal margin.

Oga Zirkzee hv only been good this season

He flopped at Bayern and Anderlecht before Genoa took him
Since when did Bayern and Anderlecht buy bad players?? A simple eye test on him will tell you he's a baller but you choose to look at who is buying who. I used to be like you when I was in secondary school, I loved reading back page transfer rumours.

If that Nacho pk is replayed the same way, William still won't catch it. It was very precise, the worst that will happen is for the ball to hit the bar.
Iheanacho had to drag the ball as far wide to the keepers left as possible, risking hitting the post. One could tell he was weary of the GK pulling a save. The keeper kept banking on diving to his left(his good side) to make a save. Even Aina's pk he dived to his left.

Zickzee will get a big move next summer. Man united are seriously monitoring him for a possible recruitment next summer

If that happens the Dutch will come calling
This coming from you? When last I talked about him, you basically poo pooed on him saying if he was good, he will be wanted by a big team. Good to see you come around, should be a lesson not to scout players until a "big team" is being rumoured to go for him.

is it not SA that wanted to play penalties? grin Now the SA coach is screaming that his team played better the it was supposed to be SA and not Nigeria in the final? They had forgotten Cape Verde was better in the semis but they won, shoulder injury my foot. Our players must have know about injury though
They played better in the first half but the game evened out eventually. Their team speed was something else, blazing through our midfield at times. It was amazing.
Hopefully, the national team selectors look the way of Ndubuisi Ndah. He's like the Van dyk of Orlando Pirates. They practically worship him there. He's Nigerias best kept secret.

He won't come

You see the thing with this FB is, if thwy really wanted to play for us, we wouldn't need to beg them

He would never play for naija. They feel that showing support this way and donating to naija charity causes is enough
If the Dutch managers keep ignoring him and Nigeria work on him, you never know.
Tyrone Ebuehi remains the only FB who willfully accepted to play for Nigeria when he was one of the best young players in Holland. Hopefully he gets to the next level in is development sooner.

I dont know if anyone in our technical area noticed the South African GK had a shoulder injury. He was in pains on his right shoulder. I was screaming that our pk takers should place balls to his right.
I think Omeruo was the only player who seemed to take advantage of this information. Williams almost caught Iheanacho's pk because he placed it on his good side. He dived to his left most of the time.
These minor things can make a difference. Our bench should take note.

you are grasping at straws here my guy. Osimhen's first call up was in 2017. He played 45 minutes in his first game and 5 minutes in the second match. From his first callup right till the starting of the 2019 afcon, out of a possible 24 matches, he was only called up for 5 games. He was clearly still not an established member of the squad. How did you expect him to start over prime ighalo that was our starting striker then. The boy was even in Belgium as at then. This agenda no even follow at All
But you were quick to pull up stats about Martins playing so so and so games with how many goals and if multiplied he still had lesser goals than Osimhen. You wanted a young 20yr old African boy with no name, from primevera to start games ahead of Vieri, Crespo, Adriano?
Obafemi was just like Eletu who people praise for just training with Inter's main squad, same age Oba was rubbing shoulders with the big boys.

hahahaha. U go fear analysis. Who was the coach then? And what was osihmen then?. Omo the kind of analysis I get here at times is something else. So osihmen should just jump in and bench established ighalo. If ighalo was around now, I doubt he will bench osihmen. However this your take is baseless because they played in two different eras . Is like saying a 17yr old Messi was benched by Crespo. Baba osihmen as far as nigerian football is concerned is a legend. We are talking of an AFOTY. GIVE the guy his respect he didn't bribe his way through it. If your so called striker was good, he should have gotten it in his era. Provided he is not crowned, he is well below osimhen.
This is why it's bad to join a conversation from the middle. See how you're tripping because I said Ighalo benched Osimhen but same you didn't realise the battle for game time Martins had to contend with against big name strikers from Italy, Argentina and Brazil when he was young.
Winning APOTY shouldn't be used to backup your argument either unless you're saying Okocha was a lesser player than Oshimen because of some APOTY.
Anyway, I'm glad they are both Nigerians, Martins inspired a generation. Same thing Oshimen is doing currently.

Sorry bro ur take is illogical…no offense;shey na paper osimhen Dey play against?
Do you know Imobile has better stats than Ronaldo delima in the Seria A?
Quick question, do you think if Imobile played against the kind of defenders R9 played against, he would have better stats than R9?

let's even use the "substitute role and quality of players" excuse to double martin's goal tally to make it seem fair, he is still one goal short of osimhen's current number.
You can't talk about substitute role without recalling that a prime Ighalo kept Oshimen at the bench throughout Afcon 2019. If Ighalo could do that to Osimhen, imagine what Adriano and Crespo could have done to him.

If he was better than those strikers, he would be a starter and perhaps score more goals but he wasn't better. Oshimen was not only a starter but the best in Serie A. It's that simple

So Osimhen will start ahead of Crespo, Adriano and Vieri? Anako grin

Been a serie A champion and top chart scorer; breaking so many records has overshadowed whatever martins achieved in his career….in a nutshell osimhen better pass martins
This is cheap takes. Martins was playing against generational defenders like Maldini, Nesta, Costacurta Canavaro while competing for game time with Adriano, Crespo and Vieri.
By the way Seria A was run by a corrupt mafia, alot of them went to jail for match fixing and Juve was relegated. You can't troll Martins for not winning the league.

Osimhen rose to score 26 league goals in the same Seria A.
More than any African including George Weah.
How was Oba's performances in other clubs.
Never at Osimhen level? Never!!
You still don't get it. If Osimhen was competing with Adriano, Crespo, Vieri at 22, you reckon he will get enough game time to hit 26 goals?

Definitely. Obagoal was phenomenal. It's a shame he had not so many goals
He wasn't an automatic starter at Inter Milan. It's even a miracle how he gets on to the pitch at all with legendary strikers like Adriano, Vieri etall. A testament to how highly rated he was.
The move to Newcastle was a bad one. Valencia was supposed to be the better option where he could have played with David Villa.

Oba scored 28 goals in 88. Osimhen 47 in 79 in the same Seria A (most of these goals are extra...).
Please, let us stop disrespecting Osimhen. Obafemi was disappointing several times in Super Eagles jersey!
This is Osimhen first major tourney as a starter. By next AFCON, he would be in a club that respects him and will be psychologically prepared to play!
Most of those appearances was as substitute. This is what the stats won't tell you. Obafemi was competing for game time with seasoned strikers like Adriano, Vieri, Cruz. Martins never struggled in Seria A. He normally gets onto the pitch with 20 mins remaining and bangs!

If the game drag's on until penalty shootout,. (I don't see that happening tho) I believe we're good.
Nwabali is a fantastic shot stopper when it comes to penalties. He's been doing the business since his time at Go round FC of Omoku. He was my cousins team mate.

So sir u think a player like Moffi can't wrap up the remaining 20+5 mins ?

U guys don't seems to understand that Pasiero is not substituting in the right players

Folks like Aribo or Onauchu are not supposed to be subbed in when u have the likes of Onyedika, Musa,Moffi and nacho on the bench even Bruno

Its not by name checking players. This is professional football not amateur. Managers need specific players for different tasks based on game state.
Onuachu appears to be the player we use to close out games, a role he has played to perfection.
If what happened to Mali(conceding late goals) was our fate in round16 or quarter finals, you'd have called for Peseiro's sack.

Thank God nobody has said that shii that Bobo Nwabali hasn't been tested.
Boy has something like the most clean sheets in the Psl with 7 in 14 games.
His Afcon form is no fluke. He retains the number 1 shirt for the Super Eagles for the next 4yrs atleast.
He's likely to captain this team at some point in future, that's how relevant he's made himself.
Thanks to Peseiro for listening to the voice of reason. The next to be incorporated is Nwakali.

Had Uzoho started this competition instead of Nwabali, we would have joined others like Algeria, Egypt Ghana to exit this competition quite early and Peseiro would have been labelled the worst Nigerian coach since Libregets.
Makes me wonder what could have been had Rohr/Eguavoen done their due deligence in search of a real goalkeeper.

The fact is you guys overrated Mabululu and co. No be when them see space dem go show? Also forgetting that the scoreline is not reflecting how we ran down this defence. Osimhen should have a Hattrick in this game but see how all went.

I noticed the anger of Jpes when he was talking with Musa. Seems he was vexed with Osimhen or Onyeka or something. Cos after the sub he was talking to him. That Onyeka chance, if only he looked up to give return pass wey sweet.

Seeing Nwabali shout at Iwobi for that mistake then explain himself later and apologized is what i love to see. Iwobi is very lucky that this is not Enyeama. Apology for where?😂😂😂😂😂
Iwobi had an average game attacking wise, but boy this was his best defensive game I've ever seen. The way he kept knicking the balls away, no wonder he gassed out within 1hr.
